Killing time at the Contemporary...

Hi! We have an early dinner ADR for Chef Mickey's and some time to kill before the Pirates And Pals Fireworks Cruise. Any suggestions on things to do at the Contemporary during our downtime?

I love the Contemporary's gift shops. You could also take a boat over to WL, depending on your time.

the boat itself would only be 10-15 minutes each way, but waiting could be the variable. I would give it a good 40 minutes to be safe.

I don't know how much time you have, but we love to take the monorail all the way around the resorts run. We get to see the Poly and the GF. Fun stuff for us. ( you can tell, we don't get out much...).

There's a Mary Blair mural inside the Contemporary. I've never seen it but we are making a special trip.
Her work is amazing. She was an absolute genius.

2 years ago we got to the Pirates and Pals cruise early and they had a scavenger hunt to do. The kids did it and took about 30 minutes.

I, too, would do the monorail loop and check out GF and Poly. If you have a lot of time, I would take the boat to Ft. W and go to the playground and stables which are right by the boat dock. They have a cute general store, too.

If you check out the Mary Blair mural, search for the 5-legged goat. You have to be on the monorail platform to see it.

We will also have some time to kill at the Contemporary. Arriving early the morning of our stay and no pans for the day except for dinner at CM in the early evening. Anyway, the boat ride might be a nice idea. So, my question is, I think I know the playground you are talking about since we have done Hoop Dee Doo a few times and kids have played on that playground. But, where are the stables and general store?
