KIds riding alone - refresh my memory

what is the current policy on kids riding alone. I remember there being a 14yr old minimum. Essentially can my kids 15,12,8, and 4 ride barnstormer alone? Or will the 15 yr old need to ride once with my 8yr old and then again with my 4yr old?

Age 7 and up can ride alone
However, the age to supervise a younger child is probably what you need.
You'll be fine with the 15 yo riding with the 4 yo.
8 yo and 12 yo can ride alone.
Now, do they let them ride together? I can't remember but I'm certain someone here will
Seems strange they'd let them ride alone but then not let them ride together. On the other hand, I've seen Disney do stranger things than that

I think it's 8 to ride alone. I recall the CMs asking my twins how old they were in the early summer of 2015, when they were still 7, but just about to turn 8. At first, we said they were 7, and we were told they had to ride with a parent or my older son. So we just started saying they were 8 and we didn't have any more issues.

The 4 years old will definitely need the 15 year old to ride. The 8 and 12 will be allowed to ride together alone.

It's 7 to ride alone without question. DGD rode tons of rides alone starting at 7, rides that DH and I hate like Barnstormer and Primeval Whirl, to name a few. The issue becomes what age can they ride together. That may be where you came in to issues, the 2 of them riding together, without an adult. Had they been single children it wouldn't be an issue. Not sure, just guessing. Because it's age 7 and up that can ride alone for sure.

Could have been, I honestly don't recall. We got so many questions from the CMs on so many rides that I loose track. We've become conditioned to automatically say their ages as soon as we walk up to the loading area. :D By time we head for our next trip, they'll be nearly 10, so hopefully the questions will start to die down.

We are a family of 5, but I don't do all the rides. If my kids, ages 3, 6, and 9 are all tall enough to go onto the ride, are you saying that the 6 and the 9 year old cannot ride together while my husband goes with the 3 year old? The 3 and the 6 year old would have to squish with Daddy while the 9 year old rides alone???

Correct. 6 & 9 cannot ride together.

Right. DH must ride with both 3 and 6 yo. 9 yo is not old enough to ride as the "adult" with the 6 yo. They ride alone but not with the 6 yo. If they were 7 yes, 6 no.
Though there is some rule that includes separate vehicles/cars, which is too complicated for me to keep straight. Some rides are connected vehicles and they can ride DH/3 yo, and 6/9 yo. But others are separate and the 6/9 can't ride without someone over 14 in their vehicle.

Thanks. Either I suck it up and do some of the coasters, or the 6 year old suddenly ages mysteriously, lol. Frankly, how many rides CANNOT fit 3 in one seating??

I can't recall the kiddie coaster in fantasyland, but I think it's a two seater and it's one that they are strict on.

Not knowing how tall your 3 year old is or what rides you're considering, I'll just answer blindly about coasters...

Space is a 3 seater with the seats one in front of the other. Big thunder could work if DH isn't an overly large guy. Dinosaur is a long row (not that that's a coaster but still)

Everest is two seats side by side. As is RocknRoller coaster.

Ok that's all I can recall lol.

Well there's 7dwarves which is a two seater but I hardly consider that a coaster, though apparently does.

Not many. Barnstormer and 7DMT come to mind and both can be very strict. Seen folks left on platform.
