Kids Menu?

So, my oldest is turning 10 before our next trip. Aside from my disbelief that he could already be 10 (where has time gone!), I am preparing myself to start paying adult prices on buffets and character meals and dessert parties for him - ugh. What about regular table service meals - can he still pick from the kids menu at 10? He’s not a vey well rounded eater, so I doubt the adult menu would be appetizing most places.....

In most cases they let adults eat off of the kids menu, there are some places that are strict, but most are OK.

We have never been told no when ordering off the kids menu - both myself and DD15. If I want something off the kids menu, I will nicely ask the server if that's okay and they've always told me it was. DD we don't say anything, she just orders off the kids menu and nothing has ever been said.

DS orders off the kids menu- they do upcharge most of the time. So they give him the "adult" portion of mac & cheese.

My kids are 12 and almost 14 and still order off Kids menus at Disney and basically every restaurant we go to outside of Disney and we have never been charged an upcharge or even offered a "larger" portion for more money. TBH, the kids portions are still HUGE at TS restaurants (CS restaurant kids meals have gotten skimpier and skimpier as time goes on, so we don't bother with those anymore). My kids aren't big kids, though. They are small for their ages so the portions are enough for them at this point.

Never had a problem ordering off the kids menu, and DS is 12. He's not a big eater and is very picky. The only place that even batted an eye was Via Napoli 2 weeks ago. I think the server was already mad, because DH and I wanted to split an appetizer and an individual pizza. We have eaten there before and know what we can stomach, especially that far into our trip when we have already been pigging out. So, when we asked for the kids pizza for DS, he might have rolled his eyes. DS couldn't even finish the kids pizza. We just tipped the server more than normal, and the service was still very good.
