I know I haven't posted in awhile, but have been extra busy at work, so my "free" time has been limited.

I have been working on Easter though.

Someone had mentioned halter style dress with patchwork? Well, just by coinkydink, that is what I have been working on!

I don't know why my camera is all wonky!?! I think my princess has been playing photographer!

I plan on making a matching pair of pants. Just have to find the time.

Guess it's good that I have a little while before Easter gets here!

Tom...it's so beautiful. I daresay, you out-sew all of us. Just a quick question though, is the fabric that you used for the sleeves a heavy weight fabric. I bought something similar to this years ago, I think a few yards of it, and never used it. It was a heavy weight cotton, that felt almost like decorator fabric.

Excellent job on the appliques!! BTW where did you get the cute black fabric with the white little flowers? Nana

I got it at Walmart. It was with the clearanced fabrics for $3 a yard. It is actually quite nice fabric.

Thank you everyone for your compliments:) Although I am sure the appliques look better on screen. I have a lot of practicing to do.
I did finish the top to go with the jeans last night, so I will post them later when I get a chance.

Ummm.. I don't think I outsew anyone! The fabric is a cotton weight, not heavy at all. I bought it on line. The designer had a great sale at Christmastime. http://parisbebe.com/store/

Thanks everyone for the comments. Sometimes I just don't know if my sewing looks good enough, and then all of your kind words tell me that I guess I shouldn't quit.

OK I went tonight looking for veggie tales fabric. I thought they used to have it at WM but I could not find it. Any ideas on where I could find some? We are going to see the movie Monday and I was going to try a set of overalls for it.

They had some at Joann's the other day while I was there. It was 7.99 a yard, with 30% off.
Although, I may have some that I can ROAK to you. How much do you need?mine looks like this... ( the blue bag in the pic:) )

Sorry, I just noticed that you needed it before Mon. :( Well, it's yours if you want it!

Wow! After Lisa Zoes Tink and Tom's Easter creation I almost don't want to post the tee I did! I guess I will anyway - after all I did already upload it!! Anyway here's a Valentines tee for DS2. We start our cruise on the 14th.

DD saw it and wants one too, so I ordered the Moda fabric and will make one to match the skirt that Lori made. Will probably make myself one too.

I loke it a lot!

No, you shouldn't quit! Are you kidding me?!?!? I have so many of your things saved as inspiration it's not even funny.

BTW, thanks for that fabric site. I found some that I HAVE to get. ;)

LOVE IT!

Oswego, IL - currently the land of snow, sleet and ice. Soon to be the land of subzero temps before wind chill factors.

I can't wait to see what I sew too! :rotfl: A couple of our plans got canceled for the weekend :cheer2: , so I will be sewing.

My sister-in-law lives in Naperville, you guys are practically neighbors!

My Grandparents lived in Oswego, IL for about 15 years. They live in Oregon IL now.

I lived in Warrenville, IL, for twelve years then my parents moved us to St. Charles. Now they have gone further west to Sycamore, IL!

Keep warm up there! We are getting snow here today and it is going to get colder tonight so it won't melt. :yay: :yay: :yay: It is so beautiful!

Here are two pajamas that I made in the past few days. I bought a bunch of brushed cotton and finally decided to make Ireland a nightgown. It's nothing special. She's really hard on pajamas. LOL

I at first thought that this would be an outfit, but the more I worked on it, it started looking like summer pajamas.

Today I'm starting a new applique project. I'm surfing the web for some ideas. Wish me luck!

I finally have the girls' Valentine's outfits finished. I ended up making 2 (and 2 of each), but I only have pics of the dress. They wore the tops last week-end & dd1 was cutting teeth & cranky about it so there aren't any pics yet.

The dresses came out pretty cute & when they're too short to wear as dresses by the end of summer, they can be worn as tops. :cool1:

I really love that! I have jeans and appliques laid out almost identical to the pants!

Found some more pictures...this is the other outfit that Lisa made for my daughter...

Your daughter looks gorgeous! Lisazoe does a great job. I love all those fabrics together. I haven't decided what to make with what I have of it, it is so precious I want it to be something special!

Tom! I missed quoting the easter outfit but adorable! Is that for Leigh or for the other place! I am sure it would do good!

And I forgot! We are getting more snow! Yeah!

It is freezing though, it is a wet wet snow and we were out for 2 hours already. I just hope it chillsl up and the ground freezes up so we can sled some tonight! Because it is so wet there still isn't much on the ground and been snowing for 3 hours now!

You wanna talk freezing?! It's colder here than in Alaska! I think it's around 15 degrees out and the temp is dropping! It's suppose to be around 10 degrees by early evening! And the wind...brrrrrr!! Baby it's cold outside!

Thank you so much for the thought. I like the blue fabric that is too cute. We do unfortunately need it by Monday. Because I apparently have forgotten that I need more than a minute and half to make things. :rotfl: We do not have a Joann's anymore unfortunately. :(

I think Hancock's had some Veggie Tale fabric.

TY I am going to check there in a few. The bday party my son has is about 2 blocks from there so we will have to stop and check it out. He is thrilled let me tell you!

FYI for those of you that are veggie tales fans I found this page and am going to use the Templates to break down my fabric for the appliques. Let's pray they turn out ok. :) http://www.dltk-bible.com/veggie/vt_crafts.htm

Since I am still multi-quote dumb, I just wanted to say that everything that has been posted is FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, since some are talking about snow, we are getting more today too!!! It has been snowing for about 3.5 - 4 hours and the ground is covered. We are getting ready to take the kids outside to play and make another snowman. And speaking of Alaska, Michael (DS6) looked out and said 'man, we look like we live in Alaska!" If he only knew!!!

We may be taking my nieces (21 and 24) to Disney with us on a girls trip and I already told them that each of us will have a Minnie Dot outfit to wear to the magic Kingdom. I think that they thought I was kidding. Won't they be surprised!

I have a few new things done, but my computer is running slower than cold syrup so I don't think that I can get them posted. Hopefully we will get that all worked out soon and I can join back in!

Great to see you again! When are you thinking of going to WDW?

She looks so cute and proud of herself- as she should be!!

I agree, I always forget kids names! I hate to offend by not using them but my mind is very leaky!

Heather, somehow I lost the quote but I love your Cinderella bird! Fantastic, I can't wait to see the whole dress. As I was looking at the page Grace saw the bird and says, hey, that's from Cinderella. Of course she also wanted everything she saw too!
I don't think anyone will be offended if you don't remember names! I know I don't! Thanks for the compliment on the bird. I think the biggest compliment so far is from Grace when she recognized it as a bird from Cinderella! :lovestruc

Started ironing and planning outfits today, adn got overwhelmed by the basement chaos. Anyone want to come over and help me clean? I'll pay in fabric. :)

And my name and all kids names and ages are in my siggie. Just for yous guys. :)
To answer your first question...NO! :rotfl2:
I have always liked your siggie!

I haven't posted on here in a long time. I've mostly bought stuff and hand sewn a few things but DH got me the Brother Disney machine for Christmas! I've been having fun with it and will hopefully get to finish a few things this weekend.

Just wanted to give a heads up - I was at Meijer tonight and they have a clearance section on the endcap at the back of the sewing/yarn aisle. They had elastic thread marked down to .68 and then it ended up scanning at .44. I think I'm going to try shirring this weekend. :)
Thanks for the Meijer info. I thought you must live fairly close after reading your Meijer reference!

We almost always go to disney WORLD in May and i actually thought we would be there when you guys were, but then I decided to go the other route, we are going to the world in Sept for a week, bounceback from last year.
What-EVER...:snooty: ;)

I am in love with this dress!! It reminds me of Tessa's baby quilt that my Grandma made. So pretty!

Excellent job on the appliques!! BTW where did you get the cute black fabric with the white little flowers? Nana
Sorry if someone already answered you, but I've seen this fabric at WalMart for $2/yard. It was on clearance the last I saw it, though. I bought some of the fabric in this line for one of Tessa's outfits and it didn't wash well (faded and streaky), so beware!

I don't know if this weather is headed your way but if it shows up, make sure you have lots of blankets and wear lots of layers! Brrrr! We have had ice sliding off the roof all day.
My poor dog...we just got her hair cut yesterday. She was SOO cold outside today, she had to have at least one foot up off the ground at all times! She was even wearing her Dora The Explorer sweater!

So cute!!! I love her Dorothy shoes! What a pretty girl!

That's such a cute idea! Love it! Sawyer has a Valentine's shirt I bought at Target last year that said "Hunk of Burnin' love". It cracky's me up every time I look at it!

I love this one! The fabrics go together so well!

FAB-ulous!!! I love the top, I love the pants, and DD is beautiful!!

Aw, they look so pretty in their new jammies!! Can't wait to see what you're working on!!

That is SO cute! I can't wait to see them modeled on your little cuties!
