Has anyone seen and pink fabric with crowns on it? (I thought I saw some but of course did not buy it). I just bought DD a tee that says in pink "I 'm a princess .........most of the time" (I think it is funny she is not so thrilled LOL) and I though a pink bottom would be cute.

I have a question about this top. It looks like a peasant top with some shirring around the middle. Correct? I really like the style of top and think I might be able to recreate it for DD. Any tips?

Yep. It is a peasant top with shirring about 1 1/2 inches down from the arm hole seam.(You can decide where you might want it.)

To make sure that your shirring is straight. I pressed a fold into the fabric before I sewed the side seams. Just follow the pressed fold for your first row of shirring and then use the presser foot for any other rows. Hope this makes sense. (you could also mark the line with a disappearing marker, but I just didn't want to take the chance that it wouldn't disappear.

I also cut the top a little fuller, so it would look a little more gathered.

I think I will remake this top without the applique though. I am not sure if I like it now or not.

I haven't seen fabric but Target had white tights with pink crowns on them on clearance.

We leave in 4 days and I think I might be all set. I have both a long sleeve and a short sleeve shirt to go under each outfit depending on the weather. I have finished all the outfits I wanted to and now just need to pack.

Oh and we went to the Disney Store the other day to check for any sales plus I had a 15% off coupon. I let Lauren pick which PJ's she wanted and she picked these:

She actually said no to Cinderella jammies and begged for the Cars ones.

I also appliquéd Mickey heads on six sweatshirts (one for each person on the trip) and added iron-on designs to the back of each sweatshirt. I'm pooped.
Off to pack.

Just so you don't think I'm totally slacking off, here's what I've done with my new machine so far! It's an applique on Tessa's Cinderella dress:

I haven't had much time to sew with Sawyer getting into EVERYTHING, but I did this yesterday during his nap. I LOVE my new machine!! It's so much easier to applique on it, plus it beeps!

I'm so far behind, I'll never catch up! But I was skimming through and this caught my eye! That's awesome!

About four of the walmarts in my area near Norfolk, VA still have their fabric departments and I am pretty sure they had that fabric. PM me and let me know how much you will be needing and I will see if I can get some for you.

I am so behind. I hae been working working and um working and oh, yeah taking care of sick people. I was sick last thursday and someone in my family has been sick every day there after. Mac couldn't keep anything in his stomach for 3 days and on the 4th day I came home to a Little w/ a temperature. I am WIPED OUT!!! But getting a pay check is kinda nice. I have never had to leave the kids w/ anyone else while their sick so I have been a basket case and feeling UBER-guilty. My new job has scheduling issues and noone ever gets 2 days off in a row so it is hard to get rested since you spend the day off catching up on laundry, dishes etc.. then go back to work for a few more days before you're off again. So I'm sorry for my absence. I have been looking at stuff when I can steal some time. Everything is great. I LOVE the clippies. I gotta make some of those!! Add it to the list

I just sent this dress off to my neice (she'll be 18 mo) I used that same patern (had to size down a size 3!). As far as patterns go it was pretty easy. No problems with this one!

It looks huge in the pic. but it is about a size 2!

I finished the appliqued top that I started today. I wanted to add a ruffle to the bottom, but I found it would have been too long. I have to hand it to LisaZoe, I don't know how she does the faces so beautifully.
