I'm getting this machine next weekend. Let me know how easy or hard it is to use.

A friend gave me a bunch of fabric she didn't want so I have been practicing stitches and stuff. I love the overlock stitich. It's not a serger but it's still a nice function. My MIL tells me that between that stitch and the automatic threading, she's jealous. :)

It's been pretty easy to use. The manual is really easy to follow too.

I have embroidery thread but have not tried that function yet. Maybe this weekend.

I know I haven't posted in awhile, but have been extra busy at work, so my "free" time has been limited.

I have been working on Easter though.

Someone had mentioned halter style dress with patchwork? Well, just by coinkydink, that is what I have been working on!

I don't know why my camera is all wonky!?! I think my princess has been playing photographer!

I plan on making a matching pair of pants. Just have to find the time.

Guess it's good that I have a little while before Easter gets here!

The bunny top is cute, but that dress is gorgeous! :lovestruc

I can't think about Easter yet though. I have to finish Valentine's & get a birthday present made & there's a Tink outfit I can't wait to work on.

My sister-in-law lives in Naperville, you guys are practically neighbors!

We were suppose to get some nasty weather here this evening, but so far it hasn't hit yet. Is it on it's way? We are about 3 hours 20 minutes east of you!

DH and I grew up in Naperville! My parents still live there.

I don't know if this weather is headed your way but if it shows up, make sure you have lots of blankets and wear lots of layers! Brrrr! We have had ice sliding off the roof all day.

I wanted to share some pictures of the amazing Tink outfit that Lisa made for my daughter.....

And she just loved twirling in that skirt!!!!!! THANKS LISA!!!!!! Your work is sooooo amazing!!!!! :worship: Can't wait until our next trip to get more of your outfits!!!!!!:woohoo:

Just curious, what do you mean you reap a children's clothing line? I am addicted to children's clothes so this sparked my curiousity!

My cousin and I are reps for a children's clothing line. We do home shows two seasons a year - spring/summer and fall/winter. We are about to start our shows for this season. It's a lot of work, but really fun and I LOVE looking at all the clothes and trying them on Mayme as soon as we get them! The only drawback is that as the season goes on and I see the clothes over and over, my list of the ones that I want gets longer!

OK I went tonight looking for veggie tales fabric. I thought they used to have it at WM but I could not find it. Any ideas on where I could find some? We are going to see the movie Monday and I was going to try a set of overalls for it.

Our Walmart had it in the clearance section the other day. I could see if they have any left but you would not get it in time. :(

I have recently (within the last month or so) bought Vegi tales fabric at both Walmart and Joanns. The one at Walmart I think was on clearance... if that helps.

Well, I figured out the stitch for appliqueing on my machine:) So here is my finished project. It is a little sloppy, but hey... it's my first time;)

i also made these a couple of weeks ago and haven't gotten around to posting them.
The twirl skirt needs a top too, but I need to buy more fabric because I used every last bit...

And this was just a project to cover up some ripped jeans:)

Cool! She's lived there since she started college in 87.
I haven't looked outside in awhile, so I'm not sure what it's doing out there!

Someday, I would like to go to Disney Land too. have you been there before?

Nope, never been to DL. I went to Beverly Hills about 10 years ago with my aunt and cousin, uncle was living/working out there and we had gone to disney world the week before so skipped DL and hit Knotts Berry Farm and Universal Hollywood instead. i was bummed, especially because we went to Universal Studios the week before too. The rest of the time we walked around Beverly Hills just enjoying the area.

Thanks ladies I will go look tomorrow while my 5 year old is at the bday party ... or afterward if the people look like they sounded on the phone. :scared1:

I'm so proud of my little angel. She got an A-B Honor Roll award today. She has had all A's and B's for the first three six week periods at school. Here are some pics.

CIMG0512.jpg

The Snickers is her prize. The jacket she is wearing is a custom. So kind of on topic. I made it out of a sweat shirt. She has pants that match also.

CIMG0505.jpg

This is her teacher getting an award too. All three of the teachers that DD has had at that school got awards. They have some of the best teachers in our parish.
CIMG0508.jpg

The one in pink is DD.

She is sooo adorable and you guys should be very proud! Way to go!

It's not a dress, but a few more rows of patchwork would make it one.

Wow! After Lisa Zoes Tink and Tom's Easter creation I almost don't want to post the tee I did! I guess I will anyway - after all I did already upload it!! Anyway here's a Valentines tee for DS2. We start our cruise on the 14th.

DD saw it and wants one too, so I ordered the Moda fabric and will make one to match the skirt that Lori made. Will probably make myself one too.

Love, love, love this dress!!!! That's exactly what I want to make my girls. I haven't been able to find a pattern so I've got a few that might work if I piece them together. Have I mentioned that I love this dress? :thumbsup2
