I took the above from the board guidelines. I don't want anyone getting in trouble by selling things from this thread.

To all of you creative things who make these adorable outfits....where do you get the shirts/dresses that you start with? It's hard to find plain white CUTE/stylish shirts --- or at least I haven't had any luck.

Honestly, I find decent quality shirts at Old Navy. They seem to not shrink or pill when you wash them.

Walmart, Kohl's, Target, OldNavy, (occassionally) Kmart, and ToysRUs to name a few ... and don't forget to look in packages on the hang wall with the underwear = I found some CUTE ruffled Cap-sleeved Tshirts there at Walmart last year (not this year though :() and they were only 3 for $7or8 :) ...
+ Hobby Lobby sells SOME plain white Tshirts & Tank Tops, childrens' & adult sizes :), but not alot in Toddler & Infant sizes :( ...

Max10 (if you have a family version near you) & Mr. B's sometimes have some cute children's tops & jumpers & dresses.

IF you lack a retail outlet near you = check their online stores :)

Hi Castlecreations,
I've been trying to find you for a while. I have a business question for you, but don't want to get you into trouble by posting here. Please send an email to heartsofmine2004@yahoo.com
Thanks so much!!!

Here is a picture I took today of my daughter Belle wearing her Easter dress I made for her yesterday. Thanks soo much for the ruffle tip! It shaved off sooo much time! :goodvibes jen

I made this black t-shirt for the cruise, just drew on a Mickey head and attached some bling with fabric glue. It wasn't too over the top and I got lots of compliments. Just do what feels right to you and don't worry about other people! :cool2:

I LOVE your black shirt!! How did you come up with the prefect Mickey head? DH made a big lime green head for our hotel window when we go in 2 weeks:woohoo: it's ummm ok, you can tell it's mickey.... but the ears are to small and to close together. :rotfl: Just curious what your secret was. I plan on putting some jewels on my DD's shoes for our trip also (in the shape of Minnie's head). I am a little scared to do it, I don't want to mess them up! :goodvibes jen

Hi CastleCreation! I've been trying to PM you but keep getting an error message. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong...I'm still new to this! Love your clothing and would like some info. My email is SHEL1126@aol.com. Hope to hear from you!

MickeyFan- You're dress is so cute. I always have trouble with button holes for some reason. It's funny how you can sew to get around doing them. I'm glad the ruffle tip worked out for you. I can't stand to gather anything that long. I always double the ruffle. So if the outfit measures 40 inches around the hem, I cut 80 inches of fabric. Yikes.. it is so much easier pinning it, instead of gathering it. Well you inspired me to do a little sewing today. I'm making a cow outfit. Not really like a costume, just with cow print material. I'm not sure how this one will come out, but my daughter really wanted it. Wish me luck, I'll post pictures when I get it finished. I hope everyone had a great Easter. I ate way to much candy...ohh bellyache:sick: Lisa

lol I did make button holes ;) I basicly did a double ruffle also. Good Luck on the cow print! Can't wait to see the finished product!! Our Easter was great! :goodvibes jen

Here is the first picture of the cow dress. It all started with this great fabric that looked like lined notebook paper and the fabric says Moo. I just had to make a cow outfit. It's not even close to done. But this is the general idea. There are ruffles on the front and back, and there will be a cow print waist sash. Also cow print pants of course, ruffle ones, like little bow peep. Crazy huh? LOL:rotfl2:

Kellyscrapbooks, if I were the tag fairy, I would definately give you the "she would die for a cow dress" :rotfl2:

can someone pm some great ebay ids to look for custom clothes for a 5 yr old.. princess or minnie theme? thanks.

I traced a mickey head with a white chalk pencil and spaced my jewels from there. I used a head a little smaller than the one posted on this thread, it is around post number 373. I'm sure it could be enlarged and printed out! HTH!

OH ok! Wonder how I missed that! Thanks :goodvibes

Here are the shoes I made for DD tonite. I actually had DH draw the heads on the shoes... and I glued on the crystals, I love how they turned out! I think I may spell out Minnie on the sides, not totally sure yet.
