Here's a recent photo from one of my expeditions...LOL
I keep my spare needles and thread in my tackle box..
I've thought about getting one of those! I hate winding bobbins in the middle of a project! How much was it?

I didn't think about that. I was thinking about snaps, but the elastic would probably be better. Thanks for the idea. If I had thought about it, I would have attached the straps to the front and put the buttons on the back. I found some adorable jewels that would have looked precious by the words! Oh well...live and learn!
Up next...an outfit for Animal Kingdom. And just so you are all aware...I'm checking out your creations and I'm not afraid to CASE them!!!![]()

At JoAnn's the regular retail price is $34.99 but through tomorrow they are having 50% off notions again so it would be $17.49. I got mine with a 50% off coupon last weekend. I think it will come in real handy! I also HATE to have to fill a bobbin in the middle of a project. Nana
Just for Heather, here's my littlest doing her very best modeling job. I told her to let me take her picture & she started turning & tilting her head & twirling around. Too cute!

I had some precious dresses made by someone I found on ebay. Her customs are amazing!
We went to a car show last night to see "Mater" so I let dd wear her Cars dress that she will also wear at MGM when we go in 2 weeks. She was so heartbroken when she realized we WEREN'T going to WDW that night.

Hi Everyone!
Sorry I disappeared. Some of you know we have been going through some intense medical testing on our Daughter Emma 20 months... We still don't have a diagnosis from all of the testing - EEG, EMG, RNS, Muscle biopsy, MRI, urine organic acid and blood tests for conditions like Tay Sachs and Rett.. It has been such a stressful time that I haven't had the heart to sew.
Well... I'm back! We took Em to a craniosacral therapist yesterday in Montreal Canada who was on the phone with a Drs in Israel and Wisconsin before we even arrived. For the first time in a long time I have hope we can provide Em with relief and help and that maybe this can point our Dr's in the right direction.
Anyway, Since we have such a rotten time these past months I have booked the 4 of us on a Double Dip CC cruise in August.. You know what that means! More New outfits! Now I need to catch up on all of you! I can't wait!
I stayed up all night to finish my version of a Cindy dress! I don't even have a model because she is asleep, but I'll post some new pics later with the pants. I've got to put buttons on this one too. I don't know what it is with me and buttons, but I can never figure them out until the outfit is done!

Wow...I just noticed a ton of threads that need to be cut. Also, it's not crooked in "real life", just on my computer screen!![]()
It's Simplicity 3897, view D.
![]()
The Simplicity site says it's out of print, but I just got it a month or so ago. I'd bet a lot of stores still have it.
I LOVE it! I wish I had an embroidery machine. I love the quote on the back.
These look GREAT!I made the Minnie Clippie and Cinderella...

![]()
The Cinderella wasn't too hard. I was afraid at first, but it turned out really cute.
A side note...I don't think I will use the glue gun for them again. It was either burning me, or maybe it's cold in my house, because the glue dried too fast.
Here is what I have been working on......

This top gave me FITS!!!!!!!!!I kept messing up, and the purple fabric was horrid!!!!!!!! I still have to make the skirt to go with it, and I was planning to make a twirl skirt with some panels of the toile. I am not looking forward to working with the fabric for the skirt. I was going to make both dds this to wear when we eat at 1900 park fare, but IDK, can't decide. I might put some bling on the bodice, haven't decided yet. I am just glad the top is finally finished!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to show you all the cinderella pillowcase dress that i made for tahlia. I CASEd it off 2CUTEKIDS, i hope thats ok. I made mine into a dress though, because tahlia is another child who doesn't like to wear pants/jeans.
It looks a little wronky on the hanger, and her face is not creased like that.

My husband had red hair when he was younger. But, now it doesn't look very red, and there isn't much of it!!! So, we get people asking us all the time where she got the red hair. But, I've never had anyone outright ask if she had a different father!!!Oh, those old ladies think they can say ANYTHING sometimes, don't they!!!! When Arminda was just born, my husband's aunt (she was in her 70's at the time)asked what we had named her. We said, "Arminda" and she said, "Well what are you going to call her?" We replied, "Arminda." To which she said rather haughtily, "Well, I guess it's YOUR decision." It was about all I could do to keep from slapping her!!! Arminda is named after my Grandpa's Mom, so the name is very special to me.

Hi Everyone!
I finished the appliqued top that I started today. I wanted to add a ruffle to the bottom, but I found it would have been too long. I have to hand it to LisaZoe, I don't know how she does the faces so beautifully.
Anyway, here are 4 shameless photos.

Teresa, what negative things did people say about the redhead's hair? I would kill to be a redhead! DH is a redhead but he doesn't have much left either! I have had people ask "strange"/rude questions about my girls curly hair and questioning their heritage. As if it matters or is any of their business. And you're right, a lot of times it seems to be a little old lady! There was once a couple in Steak 'n Shake that made me so uncomfortable with their loud comments (not addressing me but to each other in a very loud voice) and stares that we left. I'm not a shrinking violet and I wanted to say something but my girls didn't need to hear their mother go off on them, especially since they were oblivious to the comments in the first place. Makes me mad just thinking about it!

That's funny! When I told my grandmother we were naming my dd1 Rylie, she said that's a boys name! You should name her something else or call her by her middle name! I said well that's what we decided on and she said well I don't like it! Older ladies do tend to speak their mind! But I guess when you get to that age you've earned the right!![]()
THAT made me laugh!!!Too funny! Don't you know it's not a good idea to make a pregnant woman laugh that hard? Bad things happen!![]()

Oh Goodness what precious children! Love the dresses today and cute hair clips too! Wow! You all made my night.
I finished my Cindy dress/top "when the dress is too short" and I still havent got pictures of it. Definately tomorrow! I did go to our Joann's Fabrics on Friday which is a 45 min drive. It should be called Joann's Flannels. They had 100's of bolts of flannel fabric taking up half the store and about 6 bolts of old Disney fabric. I went there in hopes of getting the new Children Around the World. Nothing...they had a few left over bolts and thats it. I was almost in tears.
That's the bad news.
Now for the good news: I did find a low shank ruffler (only $14) and bought that. Soooo....I had a blast trying to figure that out today.I wasnt entirely sure I bought the right one and I had no idea what was the front and back. Somehow I studied it long enough to figure out where it should attach. Then I realized that part of it should go over the needle bolt thingy and I raised the presser foot and attached it there too and whaa laaaa...I got it on. I played around with the settings on some scraps. What a blast! It is fascinating. I set it to do three stitches and a deep pleat. I love it!!! I had to figure out to separate the fabric from the ruffle (one goes under and one goes on top). Amazing instrument and hopefully it will really speed things up. Ruffling by hand is soooo time consuming! Tomorrow I plan on getting right to work on a peasant top and ruffled jeans for my DD9. Plus I will take some pics. Sorry for the long post but I am so excited to finally have a ruffler!!!!!

You ladies are BRILLIANT. Man, I wish I'd paid more attention in Home-Ec class. Truly, truly talented!

That's odd anyone would get comments about something like that. How rude! Brianna had a little boy in her class eho had the reddest hair ever, and both of his parents were brunettes. I always just assumed there were redheads in their family line.![]()
I used to get comments that ticked me off when I was pregnant with Spencer. DH (Davis) is an identical twin. His brother got transferred to London, and had to leave his apartment 3 months before he left, so he moved back in with us for the three months. He left a week before I had Spencer. The three of us would go places together a lot, both so Davis and his brother could spend time together and in anticipation of a kd changin gour lives. Very often, I would get snide comments asking me if I knew which of the twins was the father.I'd sometimes get nasty and answer, "neither, why?"
I got a few much worse comments when I was alone because I wore crazy hippie clothes, so a lot of people assumed I was an unwed drug-user, but the twin ones always irked me the most, because they were nasty.

aaah on the subject of stupid comments from people, I could write a book!!!!!![]()
I have had LOTS of people "comment" on my DD and her origins (can't imagine why, my family SWEARS she looks just like me when I was little). She came up with her own way of handling them (since she refused to let mommy slap them in head
). When a stranger walks up and asks me if she is adopted, she interupts and says "No, I adopted Mommy". The stunned silence is usually long enough for us to get away
![]()
I do have a friend with a large international family who got tired of all the questions and when someone asked who the father of one of her kids was she said (with a straight face) gee I don't remember it was a loong night.![]()
