I love this and I have been looking for this type of pattern! Do you mind sharing what pattern you used?

It's Simplicity 3897, view D.

The Simplicity site says it's out of print, but I just got it a month or so ago. I'd bet a lot of stores still have it.

I stayed up all night to finish my version of a Cindy dress! I don't even have a model because she is asleep, but I'll post some new pics later with the pants. I've got to put buttons on this one too. I don't know what it is with me and buttons, but I can never figure them out until the outfit is done!

Wow...I just noticed a ton of threads that need to be cut. Also, it's not crooked in "real life", just on my computer screen! ;)

I LOVE it! I wish I had an embroidery machine. I love the quote on the back.

I love that it is to cute! I really like the words on the back great idea!

Hi Everyone!
I finished the appliqued top that I started today. I wanted to add a ruffle to the bottom, but I found it would have been too long. I have to hand it to LisaZoe, I don't know how she does the faces so beautifully.
Anyway, here are 4 shameless photos.

I love the skirt that is adorable. The face looks great!

I found Veggie Tales fabric last night. Not on clearance but was on sale at Hancocks. Also got a lot of fabrics for the appliques. I am cleaning house now ... don't you see me lol. Since we had a get together last night I get to do that then I am gonna get started on her overalls. The fabric is washing now. I am looking forward to seeing if it comes out any better than my last attempt!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I disappeared. Some of you know we have been going through some intense medical testing on our Daughter Emma 20 months... We still don't have a diagnosis from all of the testing - EEG, EMG, RNS, Muscle biopsy, MRI, urine organic acid and blood tests for conditions like Tay Sachs and Rett.. It has been such a stressful time that I haven't had the heart to sew.

Well... I'm back! We took Em to a craniosacral therapist yesterday in Montreal Canada who was on the phone with a Drs in Israel and Wisconsin before we even arrived. For the first time in a long time I have hope we can provide Em with relief and help and that maybe this can point our Dr's in the right direction.

Anyway, Since we have such a rotten time these past months I have booked the 4 of us on a Double Dip CC cruise in August.. You know what that means! More New outfits! Now I need to catch up on all of you! I can't wait!

I think of Emma and your family often! I'm glad you came back to give us an update. I'll keep praying that these doctors will find answers for you!!

YAY on your cruise plans!! You guys need a nice vacation! What is a double dip cc cruise?

Yet another adorable Cinderella jumper!! I love it! The lettering on the back gives it that extra special touch! I think the original designer of this jumper deserves the "most CASEd outfit award"! :rotfl:

Has anyone seen and pink fabric with crowns on it? (I thought I saw some but of course did not buy it). I just bought DD a tee that says in pink "I 'm a princess .........most of the time" (I think it is funny she is not so thrilled LOL) and I though a pink bottom would be cute.
Walmart has some cute pink sparkly fabric with crowns on it. I don't have any of it, but I know Tessa always asks me to buy it for her!

All of the outfits look FANTASTIC!! How exciting that your trip is almost here!   Make sure you have lots fun for all of us stuck here in the cold!

Wow! I didn't even know there were competitions for kids that young! She looks absolutely adorable and congrats on her team doing so well!!!

What a sweet little dress!

Your DD looks beautiful and so does the outfit! I think the applique looks wonderful!! Did you do the face on the machine, too? I've never been able to do that kind of intricate work on the machine. I've always hand embroidered faces so far.

Just checking in: I strained a muscle in my back so I can't sit very comfortably right now. Megan and I quickly scanned everything tonight: love all the new outfits! I will be back when I can sit and respond properly.

Teresa: I did notice that you said something about the Hello Kitty socks. Megan picked out all the footwear herself and is pleased that you noticed!

Have a great night my sewer friends!
Sorry to hear about your back. Back pain can be, well...a real pain!! I hope you start feeling better soon!

We had an aquaintance over last night who reminded me of you. She said she use to have a pet Betta:fish: like ours. she used to hold a mirror in front of the tank to get it to attack itself and she said she only used to remember to feed it about once a week...:rolleyes1

Hello again everyone, I used to be disneyworldmama but had to change my email and my account got all messed up so I had to start over :( I just wanted to let you all know that.

I love the Cinderella outfit, you guys are so talented
Welcome to the "I changed my username" club!!

She looks absolutely adorable!! I love her "chucks"! The mater outfit is great!!

DEANN: Thanks for the compliments! I feel so special that you singled me out!!

I don't know if anyone has this, but I got one for Mom for Xmas and she LOVES it. It fills the bobbin so much faster then the sewing machine. I got it at Xmas when JoAnnes had the 50% notion sale.

Yes, if your machine doesn't have a USB port then you need a device and sofware for it. What format does your machine use?
Nana

Good question...I have no idea. I think it's the one that starts with a P, is it PES? I have a Husquavarna (spelling) and I think that machine takes a different type. I would love to start doing it, but just can't seem to take the time to learn. I have embroidered with both machines, but not a whole lot.

I wish I had a machine to do the faces with. As far as I know, my machine doesn't have any type of tiny stitches. I had to hand embroider the face, and my hand sewing skills are about as great as my deep sea shark fishing skills....:rotfl:

I've been wondering about this little contraption. I've considered getting one, but just didn't know if it wold be worth the money, or the space that it would take up. So, you like it?

Now, THAT made me laugh! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I WISH that there was an embroidery design that was JUST the face features. THAT would be cool!

I let Lauren pick which PJ's she wanted and she picked these:
MickeyMouseAlinedress001.jpg

She actually said no to Cinderella jammies and begged for the Cars ones.

That's how DD is too. When she was potty training she would pick out the boy pull ups. She had Bugs Bunny, Buzz lightyear and Cars. Right now she is wearing a Cars t-Shirt with sweat pants.

It's a pretty little machine. It's not that big. And if you make extra spools, then you can leave them inside. I usually sew with alot of white, so when I start a project, I make about 6-7 bobbins. I hate when I run out and have to re-thread everything. That was one reason Mom and I both liked the Singer Touch and Sew, you could re-wind the bobbin in the case.

Hi, Sally!
I got one of those last weekend with a 50% off coupon. I haven't tried mine yet but I think it will come in handy when I am using my embroidery machine. That way I can wind bobbins while I'm working.

I made the Minnie Clippie and Cinderella...

The Cinderella wasn't too hard. I was afraid at first, but it turned out really cute.
A side note...I don't think I will use the glue gun for them again. :scared1: It was either burning me, or maybe it's cold in my house, because the glue dried too fast.

Your bows are really cute. I just don't have the patience to do bows.

For those of you that have made the princess clippies (I think they are called french clips?) how well do they stay in you DD's hair? My dd has impossibly straight hair and I have not had any luck in getting clips to stay.

Alexis has the same hair type as your DD. I'm thinking of lining them with that non-slip shelf liner. I think it's made of some sort of rubber. I've used it before when my dd was little, It really makes them non slip.

WOW! Those are GREAT! I have a few of these that I purchased, but you guys are making me want to give this a try. I have made bows, butr I've tried to really cut down on the space that all my hobbies takes up, so I've greatly reduced my ribbon stash. Now, I'm wanting to buy more ribbon.

I was just about to say the same thing. This is what I do for AbbyGrace. Either that, or put a small ouchless rubber band where I want the bow to go, and then slip the bow in front of the rubber band. This really makes it stay put.

Ok, if you guys were going to do an applique bunny face, what colors would you use? I have white minky fabric that I would like to use for the face itself. Should I outline in white? Or pink?
