Ok. I was going to try to do a multi-quote reply, but once again, I can't figure it out!

Thanks for all the compliments on Mayme's dress! I did use a pattern. I got it from the GREAT website t-beri told me about www.youcanmakethis.com. It's the apron front jumper dress. I just made it without the apron. I was really happy with how it turned out and the instructions were very easy to follow.

I did not make the shirt. It's Castles and Crowns. They have a ton of cute clothes on there. The website is www.castlesandcrowns.com. PM me if you have any questions about their clothes.

The fabric....well, that's a funny story. I saw something made out of this fabric and I became obsessed with it. I searched my local fabric stores (there aren't many) and didn't find it. So when we went to north Alabama to visit my mom and stepdad for Christmas, I looked up there. No luck. I became obsessed with this fabric. I knew I had to have it. I searched every online fabric store that I knew about and I couldn't find it. I would dream about the dots and wake up so upset that I couldn't find the fabric. :headache: I googled fabric stores in Alabama and I found all of them near I-65. On the way home, I stopped at every one that I could find. No dotted Mickey and Minnie fabric. When I got home, I decided to branch out to Florida. I went over to Pensacola one afternoon and went to all of the fabric stores I could find. Still, no fabric.
Now, you might be able to tell that I'm a pretty determined (or crazy, depending on your point of view) person and I don't give up easily when I get my mind set on something. I really do become obsessed with stuff and won't give up until I find it. Usually, it seems to be fabric. Anyway, I was on a certain auction site (that I'm not sure if I can or can't mention, but use your imagination) and I saw a dress up for auction. Well, I didn't like the dress, but it was the fabric that I wanted. So, I emailed the seller and asked if she would be willing to sell me 1 1/2 yds of the fabric. No answer. Well, a few days later, I saw another dress. So I emailed that seller and she responded! I paid an obscene amount of money for it  , but I don't care! It was worth every penny!

Gee, thanks, now I'M obsessed with this fabric! I get the same way! :scared1:

That was me t! I did use the zuma pattern. My Lily is not quite 2 1/2, not sure exactly how old your Lily is? Mine is very average sized for her age and the smallest size on the pattern ended up fitting her perfectly. Let me know how I can help! I'll be off to the world though in 5 DAYS!

HOORAY for going to WDW!!! I guess I'm gonna have to bit the bullet and get that pattern. or else you're going to have to make my lily's pants too;)
Liliana will be 3 on July 19th. She is in an akward size right now, 2 Ts are definitely too big. 24 months is better. she could wear her 18 mo clothes but shes too tall. some of her 12 mo. dresses aren now cute over her jeans:cutie:

and she has STARTED USING THE POTTY. for 3 days now she has been using the potty EVERY time!!! Hooray:banana:   She hadn't pee'd on the potty at all until the other day when she was at my Grands. and she went on the potty all day. but then at home she pee'd in her diaper. two days later she went to my moms and pee'd on the potty ALL day again. but pee'd in her diaper at home. Last night she wore the last diaper I had to bed and this morning I told her that there were no more and she would have to wear her Tinkerbell underpants and NOT pee in them. She did. we cleaned up and changed underpants and went to her OTHER grandma's (she calls her Nona) and not only did she tell us when she had to pee, once she even went and got on the potty herself. I really hope that this is it!!! Her brother still wets the bed at night (he's almost 10) and she knows he wears pull ups to bed so we have to keep that under wraps now. b/c she made a comment about " my gavin wears diapers too" so think we will have to be careful about that. But Yeah for Lily!!!

Here are some pic from our trip in Sept. I'm still trying to find the others.

I really like these dresses.

[quote="GoofyG, post: 22566900"]Here are some more AK pics.

I don't usually care for animal print, but I really like these dresses. I love the backs.

I love this fabric & the dress is great, such a sweet style.

The straps come over the shoulders from the front. Then go through an elastic loop connected to the center back. Tie it from there.

Thanks! I may have to try that this summer.

ok, So I realized I did not share Anastasia's Nutcracker pics with you guys! So here they are.... She had a great time performing as a lollipop!
nutcracker.jpg

I didn't even recognize her! She looks so grown up! I bet that was alot of fun to watch!

Hi!! We did Epcot today. There was NO ONE THERE!! It was downright creepy. There was a marathon in the morning, which was kind of exciting, but other than that...it was a ghost town...weird.

This is where we ate lunch...can you hear the crickets chirping...:rotfl:

Ireland also got Ears from the dream team today!!

wow! What a dream! I can't believe it was so empty! Was Ireland the only one who got dream ears?

Here is a picture of the dress I made yesterday for Mayme. I still have to put some buttons on, but I can't decide what color to use. What do you think?

th_maymedress1.jpg

She HATES for me to dry her hair, so unless we are going somewhere, that's a battle I choose not to have...therefore, she has wet hair in these pics! I also want to make some pants to go with it in case it is cool when we are there. BTW...only 20 days to go!!!:yay:  :cheer2:

Also, I don't know that this is the shirt she will wear under the jumper. I guess it depends on the weather.

So so cute! I just love this fabric also!

All the outfits and pictures are adorable! Wow!

In my never ending quest to not go to bed before 2AM, I found some cute hair clippie instructions!
Tinkerbell: (I think I would like this one better without the googlie eyes)
http://bowdesigns.50webs.com/tinkerbell_clippies.html

Mouse Ears:
http://bowdesigns.50webs.com/mouse_ear_clippies.html

They are talking about posting instructions for more of the Princesses over on http://hipgirlclips.com/forums/how-make/2563-has-anyone-made-these-princess-clippie.html

I haven't made any of these yet, (these are not mine) but these are some that other people have made. Aren't they great!

th_IMG_0262.jpg

these are the cutest things!

I know I missed some and I am getting really tired! I loved the red and white polka minnie outfit. I think revrob made! so cute!

And the new fabrics everyone is finding! Gotta for a road trip and get some of this stuff!

it took so long to find a pattern that was close. there was an edwardian afternoon tea party dress that we had to modify, but it worked out great for the dress. it took days of my friend working on this non-stop, but she loves that we didn't see anyone else walking around in her costume. sorry this is so big, i haven't figured out how to make it smaller. you can barely see the ruffles on her shirt, but it person it was great. i can't even image how many people found her her red bows from the skirt. when we got back to the room that night, only 2 were still on the dress.

I don't think I've seen anything out of this fabric yet. Where did you get it? It's really cute!! I've spent a few minutes trying to help you find inspiration, but I think my brain is full. I can't come up with anything besides a peasant dress!

I think I've decided to make Simplicity 3897
simplicity3897.jpg

I think the solid pink sleeveless with a bow. That way they can wear them for Valentine's Day & all summer too.

The fabric came from Hancock. I got just after Christmas & they had just put it out.

Gee, thanks, now I'M obsessed with this fabric! I get the same way! :scared1:

The fabric was at JoAnn's last summer. It was pretty hatd to findeven then though.

Now that you say what pattern it is, I can see it. The blouse made it look like something totally different. I LOVE it. I can make that! I'm gonna PM you about the blouse.

Great costume!!!

This was my idea for MNSSHP next year to do this version of mary and bert and the "regular" ones. My MIL and FIL and me and B. then the kids could be something different or pick which outfits they wanted. I know for sure that we won't get Mac to play along. He REFUSED to be our newsie for halloween this year. Which is fine cause Little was too cute!!!

Whoever made this, or anyone who has a pattern, do you have directions?

I made that pillow case. There are a number of different ways to make these, but here are the directions I use...

Fabric Requirements:
3/4 yard for main body
1/4 yard for contrast hem
1.25" trim piece (cut the 45" width of the fabric)

Make sure your cut edges of the 3/4 yard and 1/4 yard pieces are straight (straighten if necessary.) Fold the 1.25" trim piece in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and press. Layer the fabrics in the following order, matching the raw edges together, and pin together: contrast hem (right side up), main body piece (right side up), and folded trim piece. Stitch with a 1/4" seam allowance.

100_1298.jpg

100_1299.jpg

Press the hem piece from the wrong side with the seam going away from the main fabric.

100_1300.jpg

Press up 1/4" of the hem fabric to the wrong side of its self. Fold this pressed edge up to the small trim strip just barely covering the stitching line. Press the edge of this contrasting hem. Stitch edge of this hem through all layers, creating a little trim in your now hemmed pillow case.

100_1301.jpg

Fold pillow case right sides together, lining up the hem end evenly. Trim off any excess fabric from the edge and/or bottom of the case to fit your pillow measurements (I usually use a regular pillow case as a guide). Sew the side and bottom (finishing the seams with a zig-zag stitch or serger if you wish). Turn right-side out and enjoy.

Let me know if these make sense or if you have any questions.

I 'd just like to say that I love love love :lovestruc all the new pics posted today! I can't believe Epcot was empty...amazing! And... a welcome :yay: to all the new posters....just love that mickey & minnie dot dress!

We were over at Magic Kingdom today too - and it was pretty quiet - not quite a ghost town but quiet (the line for princesses was only a 15 - 20 minute wait!!!) We got stuck around the monsoon/hail storm but we just ended up hiding out in different places till it stopped - here's a shot of main street in the rain...

The dress if beautiful!!! I also agree about the Mickey Head scrapbooking buttons -- they would look adorable with it.

I've sent you a PM!

I made DD10 the tween flare skirt. I'll try to post a photo later tonight. I know I just found the skirt wadded up on DD's closet floor this morning, so it may be a picture of a wrinkly skirt! I made her a plain black peasant top to go with it.
What's the deal making something and then not posting pictures??? :confused3

I love these! Lyddy loves Jojo's Circus, that is really cute! I want to make Lydia a Minnie Dot/animal print dress with ruffles too, that is adorable! Cute cute kids too!

For all you webkin nuts....Lily got a Shining Stars stuffie in her stocking. We registered her star w/ the International Star Registry today.
You can find "Lily's Twinkle" in the constellation Andromedaprincess: (the princess;) ) it's location is 1h 1m 33.38s 394' 13.64" I have NO CLUE what means and even though Mac got a super cool telescope for his b-day I'm not so sure we can even find Andromeda much less pinpoint Lily's Twinkle. But there it is. Lily has a star. I'm sure I will not hear the end of it until Mac has one too. He'll probably name is something like "Cheese" you know 9 yo boys!!

Her stuffie is a tiger and on the site I had to "create" her shining star profile...I named it Tigerlily. Original NO but still cute.
Cool! Tessa wants one of those too! I wish I knew how to find that, but I really have no clue whatsover! But, very very cool!
The straps come over the shoulders from the front. Then go through an elastic loop connected to the center back. Tie it from there.
I did that with a ribbon on Lydia's Lilo dress. I never thought to use elastic, good idea!
Here is a picture of the dress I made yesterday for Mayme. I still have to put some buttons on, but I can't decide what color to use. What do you think?

Fantastic pictures Lisa! What restaurant was that? I would love to go when it was that empty!
I've been oohing and aaahing over all of the special outfits that you've made or bought for your children. We are taking our children, for the first time in Feb. I'd love to have a pair of special overalls for my little boy who's 3 1/2. I've checked ebay...and didn't find anything that I loved. Does anyone here have anything custom/boutique that they'd resell in a 4T???? You can email me at kimberlyrichbourg@cox.net
Now...I'm off to discover the other secrets that you pros here seem to have nailed down!!! Ohhhhhhhhhh, what fun this will be!
Welcome! Sorry, I can't help you out with the outfit though! Some Ebay sellers will make you a custom outfit, if you had something in mind allready.

Very cute! I was going to suggest something retro, or old fashioned (in a good way!). This will be really cute !

This is fantastic, and so original!! Tessa has been bugging me to make her a Mary Poppins dress and she's never even seen the movie! But, she likes the songs on the CD we have. I'm thinking of taking the easy route and just making a white peasant dress with a red faux corset over the top and sewing on some red bows. Ooh!! I just had a thought- I could use some of her scads of red Build-A-Bear bows on the skirt part!

I think I've decided to make Simplicity 3897

Oh, that will be absolutely adorable!! Sorry I wasn't more help with that. I thought you should make something classic, that would showcase the fabric, and that's just perfect!

We don't have a Hancocks anywhere near us. :sad2: I did place an order online last week, though.

We were over at Magic Kingdom today too - and it was pretty quiet - not quite a ghost town but quiet (the line for princesses was only a 15 - 20 minute wait!!!)
