And to prove that I really have a problem, here is the peasant top I made for the doll. I am not quite sure why it needed a bell appliquéd on it, but it did!

Side note: isn't the hair the prettiest color? I think it really looks like Megan's!

I love this little outfit! And the bell is just perfect!
Lori

Ok, here it is. I was going to tell you that I plan on making a ribbon to match and don't mind the blue one but then I remembered this is a doll and I am insane!

Mono~Rail - Just wondering if you got the smocking issue worked out on your brother machine???? Are you back to sewing??? :confused3

Is it RRRR or ARGHHH.
Wanted to write(applique) that down the left side or on the back leg.
I was planning to do a pirate Mickey on the back leg like the top one. and then a treadure map.
or I would put the treasure map on the front and the appropriate RRR on the back.
help! - Thisis to match JoJo's pirate outfit!

Lori

Hi Lori, I made a pirate set and used fabric patches with heat and bond on the back. I zig-zagged all the edges. It literally took me maybe 4 hours from start to finish!!!

I put "Yo Ho Ho" on the leg....

IMGP3969.jpg

And a little map and pirate on the back pockets...

I can't wait to see what you come up with! :thumbsup2

The doll outfit is great! I made a cabbage patch kid outfit (for the baby from when I was a kid, so small) and some build a bear ones. It is so cute to see the finished product. Megan will love it!

Nicholas' overalls turned out great!

I have almost all my christmas cards done and can move on to my next project. I am the gotta write to each person type and sometimes it takes forever. I think I'll start on a penguin or grinch outfit. DS says he won't wear the Grinch though.

Awww!! That is soo cute! Nellie is probably my favorite Historical doll, and yes I think she looks just like your DD! I just finished matching nightgowns for my neice and her Bitty Baby. Tonight I'm working on DD's and one for her Jess doll. They are surprisingly easy. I figured something so small would be a PITB, but not so much. I should have some stuff to post tomorrow. DH is opening a new store and he took my camera to take some pictures on the progress, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow!!

I got from a fabric dealer in Malaysia. I wish I would have bought more than one yard.

Wow...all the way from Malaysia? That's where I am originally from and I guess I should get my friends there to hunt down some Mickey Mouse/Disney fabrics?

OOH! Yes, you do! And when you do, please remember your Dis friends! I would LOVE to purchase some of that fabric.

This is just precious! I love this! I've been planning to start making some clothes for the AG doll my DD is getting for Christmas, but I've not started. Was it difficult sewing so small?

That's adorable. I really should make some more clothes for the dolls in our house.

The doll outfit is great! I made a cabbage patch kid outfit (for the baby from when I was a kid, so small) and some build a bear ones. It is so cute to see the finished product. Megan will love it!

Oh no!! Now I REALLY want to go make Build-A-Bear clothes. You just had to say that, huh?? ;)

Are you apologizing about hair? That is just the cutest, and it doesn't look too too long so he will get lots of wear out of it. Does he say "Arrrr" like a pirate when he has it on?

I love the doll and her clothes. I am going to get my DD an American Girl Doll. She wants one of the ones that look like her. I hope to make her a few outfits and my sister is making her a swim suit.

I wanted one that looked like my daughter but I couldn't find one that was just right. I really fell in love with this one and hope Megan will too. After these clothes I making for her, she had better like it, LOL!

I love this little outfit! And the bell is just perfect!
Lori

Thank you! Now I have to make her some pants or something to wear with the top.

what a very cute and Lucky lil' doll i love the hair it is cute is that a american girl doll?

This is Nellie, an American Girl doll and Megan's Christmas present. I keep taking her out and playing with her, however. I even brushed her hair to try out the American Girl hair brush another mom told me to buy!

Steph_ Love the outfit and the bell is FANTASTIC! Megan is going to go nuts!!!!

Thanks! I hope so! I can't wait to see pictures from your trip. Did you have just the best time?

ummm, if you are insane what does that make me? I am sewing for DD's christmas bitty twins AND JORD! (Not to mention my own personal AG doll) LOL

It makes you a good mom, right? At least that's what I have been telling myself! I can't wait to see Jord's outfits. And I know Teresa will be interested too!

Can't wait to see your penguin outfit. I need to start on Christmas cards too. It is so hard to get the kids to cooperate. I tried last weekend and they didn't turn out so I need to try again.

It was easy. Please post pictures because I would love to see them!

This is just precious! I love this! I've been planning to start making some clothes for the AG doll my DD is getting for Christmas, but I've not started. Was it difficult sewing so small?

It was actually very easy. On my mom's advice I used velcro for closing the back and elastic thread instead of a casing for elastic. It was very simple and fast to make. She also advises to sew the sleeve onto the top and back first and then sew closed the sleeve and side at the same time. It is much easier than trying to sew a little sleeve around the arm of the machine. Don't be scared, just try it!

OMG, I just love this! Are you super thrilled with it, because I would be!

I finished my Red Snow flake bag!

What do you think? Here's the front

I love this! Great job!

Oh, kind of OT, but how do you resize the photos when you post? I have tried going to editor mode and shrinking them, but I can't get the pic to get smaller? What is the trick?

Oh, I finally finished my dd's dress! I think it turned out well. I have to start on my other dd's now. I am so stressed!!:scared1: I am ready for Christmas to be here, and my life to slow down some. I have been so busy, it is driving me crazy. I do need to remember why we have Christmas, though, and stop being so crazy with my shopping.:lmao:

If they are on a photobucket account, you can add "th_" before the file name to get a thumbnail to appear:

Cute! I would love to see it on your daughter. I have been stressed and need to remind myself about the reason for the season also. I think it's because the kids are in school up until Christmas and a lot of the stuff I usually do with them (decorating and baking) I can't do. I really miss it!

Thanks!!! It does get hard when your kids get in school. I didn't go back to work until my youngest was in preschool, and then it was so hard to get everything done. There just aren't enough hours in the day. I heard on the radio the other day they were going to see how much a mom would get paid for all the hours she spends preparing for Christmas, but I didn't catch what it was. I wonder............ I need to add up all the hours I have spent, since I started shopping on Thanksgiving.:lmao: Boy, if only, and it should be counted as overtime, too!!!!!:rotfl:

Oh, dear. Just remember that This is was a magical moment. This precious child had no physical imparments that kept her from throwing a temper tantrum, yup, one of God's miracles right there. You are SOO lucky! It's all about perspective:wizard:
...t.

I Love you saying this! Don't we all need that reminder now and then?? I actually was the one taking the picture, because I found it priceless. I have more patience at Disney than anywhere else! That is why I feel good about taking our "Mommy and Me" trip. I might have to think of ways to NOT kill her if I spent 6 nights with her at home by myself, but at Disney...we're GOLD!!!

I love that you made this! Yes her hair is beautiful and truly does look like Megan's!

TJ- if you talk to Heather send her well wishes from us. I hope you get to feeling better too. I felt that way last week but I had a cold, I wasn't taking cold medicine but there just seemed to be layers between me and the rest of the world. Take care of yourself
I will let her know. I'm feeling much better today thank goodness!

That is the YCMT pattern, but it is tweeked a little to get a more bell shape.

Don't feel lazy I have been working on all of those for 3 weeks. Have to get some sewing done today.
I like the tweeking! They look great!

Shameless post...definately on topic though!!! We are right in front of the castle!!!

HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH

TOOO funny Tifani!
Well, enough rambling my DD4 has been yelling mommy for the past 5 minutes so I guess I need to see what she needs!
You sound like me! Sometimes I just get SOOO tired of hearing, "MOM!!"

ok, he woke up and here they are. These are a tad to long. I should have tried them on him before I started. oh well. He'll have more time to wear them!
Excuse his hair, he just had an oil treatment for his hair.

This is really pretty! What type of material is the blue?

Misty, (Spongemommie) as I was doing the dishes today, I was wondering how Mayson was doing. I hope he feels all better soon.

I would love to see what you made!

What does your husband do? What kind of store is it?

DH is (part) owner of a Hadrdware/Hobby store here in Westland. He's worked at the store since he was 14. He went to college, became "general manager" and a few years ago bought into the store. It's a family owned store that I remember going to as a kid. (Probably even went there when he worked there as a teen. I'm a few years younger so I wouldn't have noticed :lmao: ) They are now opening a 2nd Hobby store in Farmington Hills (about 10 miles from the current store) It's a lot of late nights for him trying to get the store ready to open this weekend!
According to him it, will be the largest Hobby store in the area. Needless to say he is really looking forward to our trip in February!!
