Okay, so I'm pretty much on target with my thoughts. I love when that happens...:) And is the pool warm enough if it's cold? My girls are fish and I'd love to be able to take them to the pool..I had heard it was heated....

Maggi[/QUOTE]

I think it partly depends on where you are coming from. We are from Michigan and it had been in the 20-30's so it was much warmer than where we were from. We went to the water park one day and it was wonderful. Nothing had a line. With the heated water it really wasn't bad. The kids didn't notice at all. We went to the ocean one day. That was way too cold for me, but the kids jumped right in! The Floridians walking along the shore thought we were nuts. Most had on their winter coats  One grandma tried to convince me they would surely die of hypothermia!

OK, knowI'm dumnb, but how are people multi-quoting and making the pics thumbnails? Is there a tutorial I am not finding? :confused3

First of all, YOU'RE NOT DUMB! Some of this is confusing!

I know how to multi-quote...at the bottom of the post you want to quote, on the right, there is a button with quote and a + sign...click on that for whatever posts you want to respond to. When you get to the last one click the regular quote button and it'll take you to the "reply to thread" screen with all your quotes. Post away!

I am interested in the pic/thumbnails question...I'd like to know that one too!!

Are you making dresses for Ella? I was thinking of making one, but how to you make it warm enough for them if it's cold? Same as a skirt maybe?

I hope we see you all!!!

Maggi

I've made a couple of dresses/skirts for her, I'm planning on long sleeve tee shirts for underneath and tights or leggings also. DH now thinks I'm absoultely nuts because I keep making the kids customs for the trip. I do feel like maybe I've gone a little overboard, but that's part of the fun!

I also feel like I'm going to need about 40 suitcases. I'm kind of an over-packer anyway and when you add customs and all the weather possibilities into the mix, well, let's just say the people on the flight with us will probably ask if we're moving to Florida! :rotfl:

THANK YOU! I used to feel so on top of things. Now, I swear I am perpetually confused.

The Joann's by me is closing down in about 6 weeks! My friend who works there just called and told me.

I must blow off my work tomorrow and stock up!! No other big fabric chains are very convenient, and it's next to impossible to find licensed fabric in the city. :(
:sad1:

That part about the grandma made me laugh out loud!!! My dad picks on me whenever I go to visit him in the fall...I always bring my fleece hoodies while they walk around in t-shirts. :cold:

I think I'm still packing the bathing suits....Oy, as long as they don't have to be customs!:lmao:

What bout cutting the pirate skulls out in a strip (looks like you could do this on the bias), and running a strip down the outside seams of a pair of jeans or long jean shorts and then also attaching a strip of the skulls to the chest of a tee shirt?

Or, depending on how big your little guy is (and your sewing skills), what about a camp/hawaiian shirt?

Ohh, I like the jeans idea. I don't want to do shorts or pants because I think they tend to start looking like pjs, but just a strip on the jeans might be ok.

To make a picture a thumbnail, put th_ in front of the picture name in the IMG address that you see when you quote.

Nana made the Mulan dress for Emily (before broken arm). And, I spent ALL night Halloween eve making Madison's witch costume!! Nana hasn't even seen pictures of the all-night witch costume yet!!!
The costumes are adorable!!!!! So are your girls, as usual!! I have to ask, do you call her Nana in real life?

I'm going to steal that word, if you don't mind! Hope you fell un-craptacular soon.:goodvibes
Steal away!! Hope you don't have to use it very often!

I love ironing fabric, it's the finished clothes I hate to iron. Someone on here suggested a long time ago using Magic Sizing and that's all I use now and LOVE it!!
What is magic sizing?

It is a Princess diaper wipe cover and little diaper holder. I got the idea on here. Thanks for the compliments.
Ah! That is really cute!

I was just starting to miss the both of you on here going back and forth it makes me laugh. I found a nice supportive friendly group of people that I enjoy talking with even though I might not ever meet anyone from here I still consider everyone a friend. So when i noticed she haden't been on much I thought i would ask if she was ok.:grouphug: to all.

Now I am on this early this morning to ask for help before I chuck my sewing machine out the window. (Remember I am upstairs here.) :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: I don't know what i am doing wrong but I can't seem to attach my ruffle trim to the bottom of my overalls. I tried and tried and I got feed up threw the seam ripper and went to bed. Any help will be so apericiated.:worship:
If no one has answered your ruffle question yet, pm me with the problem! I love this board, too!:grouphug:

My sister is pregnant. They have been trying for almost a year and a half and finally after one IUI cycle - they are pregnant!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

WOO-HOOO!!! Congratulations to your sister!!!! How exciting!! I love this wrap you made, too cute!

Okay, I finally got my Disneyland trip photos photobucketed.

Here are the kids outside of California Adventures. They turned the letter A's into candy corns. I appliqued DD10s Halloween Mickey head shirt, DS8 and DS5's Jack Skellington shirts, and DD2's Mickey head Halloween shirt and I made her patchwork twirl skirt. You have seen them all before! I couldn't find DD2's black shoes (until I cleaned the playroom yesterday  ) so she ended up wearing the utterly unmatching (to my dismay!) pink crocs.

Here are the kids at Ariel's Grotto for breakfast with the snotty Aurora

And the sweetest Ariel ever!

Here is my family with Peter and Wendy at Mickey's Halloween Treat. Peter and Wendy were playing tag with some cast members and no one even noticed them! Costumes were purchased before I took up sewing and this is the end of the night where hats have been shed and sweatshirts donned. (And DS8 is sick of photos and just wants a soft pretzel).

DD10 on the chaise at Minnie's house--No Sewing Machine at Disneyland!!! and Minnie's house will be closed when we go to Disney World! What am I to do?

I love your daughter in Mickeys car, she looks so excited

Do you need to put th_ in front of EVERY photo, because in the last post I put th_ in front of the first photo, and they all are big.:confused3

Please tell us how Aurora was snotty!!!

The kids look great in their customs. That baby's cheeks: I could just pinch them. I can't get a good picture of my eight year old boy either!

Okay, I can answer your first question....:yay: Yes, my grandchildren call me "Nana"! I picked it out so I would have a different name so the Grands would not get confused over who they were going to see. Of course, I'm their "favorite" 'cuz of all the "Stuff" I create..;) ;) ;) And then later I became The Nana of Nana's Custom Creations. Luv Ya, Nana

Part 2:

DD could not stop dancing in her princess outfit!

DSCN2782.jpg

We waited over an hour at Princess Fantasy Faire and I am SO glad that when we got to the front of the line Lily's beloved "Lella" was there!

DSCN2799.jpg

Last one, I promise! We were exiting Space Mountain (where there was no line :cool1: ) and found Mickey and Minnie off in a little corner by the bathroom. I looked over and Minnie was peeking under the hood of my stroller waking DD2! (She'd had a long nap and looooves Minnie so it was all good!) We were practically the only ones around except, oddly, a family that lives in our neighborhood at home. :confused3 Sorry, my red-eye fixit tool went a little whacky.

Thanks for playin'! Now I get to sew! My fabric just arrived today from Yummy Fabrics.com--so excited! (and it only took 3 days :confused3 !)

That is too cute . how sweet she wanted to see your lil girl.

i am going to check out that site right now it sounds like fun...

I love these hoodies. So cute! Are they lined with flannel or something heavier?
Thanks! I lined the spongebob one with fleece for warmth. The Buzz one was the first one I did and I only thought to use the lime green fleece for accent on the pockets and hood. After I was done I realized that duh! it would be much warmer if I had lined the whole thing in the fleece :headache:

Thanks! She was really slipping in and out of character. So we are at a Character breakfast, pretty small, not many tables (Ariel's Grotto). Aurora stands at one end of the table by DD2. DD10 gets up and moves over for the photo. I'm telling DS5 and DS8 to come on, get over in the photo. DS8 has ADHD and meds have not kicked in yet and he is not exactly jumping and running to the other side of the table (he's not exactly ignoring me either, he's just taking his time). This is a boy with self-esteem issues. Aurora tells him, in a sugary phony almost snide voice "you need to come over here now, because I've got other people to see!" As everyone is getting into place, I glance up and see her looking over my shoulder rolling her eyes at someone. Now Fairy Godmother on the other hand took time to speak to each child in the restaurant individually, so apparently she wasn't in quite as big of a hurry. Sheesh!
