I have a question for anyone who has done decoupage jeans before. Do you heatnbond all of the squares, or do you pin the squares? I am going to try a pair tonight!!
I used pins and I have the holes in my fingers to prove it! I think I followed LisaZoe's directions on Teresa's bookmarks and she pins them. I obviously am all thumbs so next time I think I will heat n bond them (lite not ultra!).
I love the pic in your signature. Your daughter is so beautiful: she looks like a child model to me.
Okay, well, I'm definitely not a pro, I've done exactly ONE pair of jeans...but here's what I did... I did pin, but I only pinned a couple of squares at a time. I didn't know how else to sew each piece on...Sew a couple squares, pin another couple on. Sew those couple and then pin a couple more.
Also, open the jeans up more than you think you need to. I think next time I'm going to take them all the way up. Trying to wrestle a pair of jeans and pins and squares when the jeans don't lay straight is a challege. I'm not that great of a sewer anyway, so I really needed all the help I could get.

I wonder if you've all experienced this....I found that after a few wearings the knees were starting to wear. My dd5 wore them to school and they do alot on the floor, circle time, puzzles, etc...any thoughts on how to minimize that?
Good luck and have fun...I certainly defer to the pros here on what's the perfect way to do them, like I said, my experience consists of one whole pair. I do intend on making more for christmas, so I'll be interested to see what everybody else posts......
Good luck!
