I know, I know, another serger question. I read on this thread (where else would I be?) about the Singer serger from WalMart for about $192.00 and the Brother serger from WalMart.com for about $232.00. From what I remember, both were good for the money. Since they are so close in price, which is the better one? I'm hoping to get one for Christmas and want to spend my money wisely.

Thanks!
Chantell

Hi, Chantell!
IMO the brother is the better machine it has a lot of features that I like and I have recommended it to my daughter, Alikat99. I personally prefer Brother machines. Nana

BTW, Thanks Everyone for the compliments on the "Kiss the girl" Dress. :goodvibes I'll have to remember to put the pictures into my "Recreate-able Designs" category...

I haven't been on here in a few days and I'm not going to attempt to go back and read everything. But, of course I have to comment on some of my sister's comments because I love her best. If anyone was wondering, I'm feeling good! If you weren't wondering, TOO BAD!

AWW....I missed out on so much! Look at these gorgeous girls with their daddy!! I can't believe these pictures were taken almost 2 years ago!!

I LOVE to hear about close family and sisters! It seems that so many aren't. Brian's brother once told me that he was suprised that our kids didn't fight, because he thought all siblings fought with each other. He was actually talking about beating each other up!!! :scared1: I always empahsize the importance of siblings to my kids too. They may bicker,(mostly with their older brother, poor boy!) but I know they love each other, and will always be there for one another.

I haven't actually tried it out yet though. But, it does come with a little DVD that I have started watching. Now, what can I do with this machine????
Yup, we very rarely faught as kids- especially physically. But, I think it was CampingGriswalds that made a really good point. My mom didn't LET us fight!

I know what you can do with that machine, give it to your sister!!

   Ds and Dgd are coming for Thanksgiving!!!!!

They'll be here from Monday pm until Friday!! Now I have to make her an outfit to match dd2 WooHoo!!!! But the sad news is they won't be able to go to WDW with us :sad1: Ds can't get off work. I guess we'll just have to go again in May, right Teresa & Heather? ;)

WOO-HOO :woohoo: about seeing your ds and dgd for Thanksgiving. How sad they won't be able to go to WDW with you, though. Yes, you will definitely HAVE to go in May, perhaps sometime between May 3- May 17!!!

. Now, what can I do with this machine????

Send it to ME!

Ok I won't take up any more room here- I'll have a ton more in my report- I took over 800 pictures. That's after I deleted the bad ones!!!! :scared1:

You guys are just adorable!!! I bet your son LOVES that pic w/ Buzz lightyear. I so wish we had run into each other!! Glad you had a fabulous time!!

Teresa, you know that quilted jacket someone posted last month? Where is it in the index? It was kind of an I-Spy jacket with tons of piced Disney characters on it. Did you index that?

I haven't been around for a few days or I would have answered you. This is my jacket if you have any questions. It was mostly a guessing game at first. I'm using the patches to make a twirl skirt on a overall top. I'm having trouble with the overalls. So I set that project aside whil I work on some Xmas twirls.

Heather!!! Glad to see you up and around! Hey, I might could swing a trip out for a singalong campfire in May- what do you girls think about that??

I don't usually get to post during the week because of work, Physical Therapy and Dr. visits. But I happened to be off today. I've seen tons of GREAT looking outfits that impress me much!

Is anyone familiar with YahooGroups? I belong to quite a few email lists for various interest. I found a few that have boutique clothing from people that sell on the "site that shall not be named". It helps to give alot of ideas. Too many for me to make in this lifetime!!

and here is the pics of the down on the farm. I won't be using this fabric into something else. I like it, but Josephine says cows are for babys. geesh and it was from a sheet set so there is a ton left.

That is adorable fabric. I can think of someone I know that would love it, if you're going to be getting rid of some of it. :rolleyes1

   Yeah T!!!!! Congrats on the job.

Everyone's new things have been great. I was only away for a few days & it took me 2 to catch up. I may never get caught up after next week. But, hey, Disneyworld is worth the catch up time. :cloud9:

Hey everyone - I promise that tonight after work, I'll post some pictures of the Little Einsteins fabric that I bought last night at Hancocks. And, I forgot all about some fabric that I bought on :wizard: from some place in Asia. I picked it up at the PO today, and it's just so cute. One is Tink and one is Mickey. I'll post those tonight too.

Thanks everyone for all the congratulations. Now I just have to sit and wait for them to finish checking references etc. :headache: I hate waiting! But at least I have time to catch up on the housework :laundy: before starting back to work. And maybe some sewing too...hey can we get a sewing smiley???

Would you mind sharing the names of the groups? I've been trying to find a few places that I could hang out and gain inspiration! (Nothing could beat this thread, though!)

Where did you get Pokemon fabric? My son is gaagaa over Pokemon right now and I would love to make him some pajamas.

BTW, did we ever see your Pokemon trainer things you made?

NO!!! I have asked (begged) to see them and she is torturing me for some reason. I got my Pikachu fabric at my local quilt shop, pm if you want me to run by and see if there is any left.

I would be interested too: that sounds cool!

Heather- what happened?? I was never able to get through all the pages I missed when I was at WDW I know I missed a lot. So glad you are feeling better though.

T- Yes congrats on the job. I love when things fall into place :) I hate wait too!!!

You guys have all had some great creations- I especially like the nemo mickey head and the grinchy outfit. But all of them are SO FAB!!!

I have not had a alot of time since we returned with all the :laundy: , mail, bills and work oh yeah and catching up on sleep- You just don't realize how tired a Disney trip can make you until you get home and it catches up with you!!! And now dd is sick- on both ends if you catch my drift- fun fun!!! At least she is sleeping a little more so I hope she gets over this soon!!!
So we had to skip preschool today- No need to expose all ds's classmates to the virus!!!

Go to Yahoogroups.com. I did a search of Boutiqueclothing. I'm new to all of them. But I found Boutique children clothing, sewing boutique for kids and mub. There are alot more. The mail comes to your email. Either individually, or by daily digest (no pictures). You can opt as no mail and go look at the forum on your own.

Hope you find something of interest.

Really I should just shell out the $10 for the pattern...but I'm cheap, not to mention broke ( I can't wait till my new job starts) so I thought I'd see if some clever craftster has figured it out yet.

I love this!! I think I'm going to try working with some fleece once the holidays are over. Any tips??
