Drum roll, please!?!?!?! Here are the pictures of the fabrics that I've gotten recently.

I got these on :wizard: from some guy in Asia. I love the Tink border fabric. I figure that I'll make Madison some kind of dress out of it.
th_IMG_9076.jpg
I WANT THIS!!!! Great fabric finds!!!!!

I CANNOT believe I missed the FISH KILLER dragging my good name through the mud, and trying to get you guys to side with HER!!!

I'm not the one disguising myself as a teenage boy and going around killing koi.

Yeah, Yeah, I only steal designs....Um...yeah....WAIT a MINUTE!!! I am not a DESIGN stealer. I'm just an idea stealer, a concept stealer, if you will.

Yeah, yah see, who's crazy now, HMMMM???

It's good to have you back Heather!!!!

I was at Hancock's today. NO Little Einstein's fabric here. I NEED it! I guess I'll wait and go back in a week and see if it's there. Or I'll BEG someone to get it for me.

I read the whole thing...gee I almost cried....everything you write makes me cry  I am appalled at the doctor's mis-diagnosis and the treatment you received at the hospital. I have no patience for stuff like that. Maybe cause my dad was a doctor but I am crazy about doctors care and treatment. I am assuming you have been treated correctly since???? Yeeshhhh :sad2: My poor little Heather friend...I'm sending much prayer and pixie dust your way pixiedust:
Wow, I didn't think anyone would actually read all of that! I'm sorry I made you cry! This disease is "new" (it was discovered in 1986), so there are SO many misinformed, uninformed doctors out there. I haven't found one that knows jack squat about it yet. I am on Coumadin (blood thinner) for life and that's the only treatment I'm getting currently. I am so thankful for the internet. I've learned a lot from other people with this disease.

This was such a scary time. I can't think about it or talk about it or write about it without bursting into tears. When I left the hospital every night, I didn't know if I was going to see her again in the morning. The day thay moved her to Ann Arbor was one of the worst. I don't know how I made the drive up there. Every mile marker I passed, I thought, "One more mile closer to Heather."

Have I ever mentioned that my brother has tons of baby pictures, Heather has tons of baby pictures, but me??? The MIDDLE CHILD has ONE! ONE single baby picture!! Apparently my beauty was too great for the camera to behold and it broke! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

HEATHER!!! That is SOOO cute!!!!!!! You are a clever one my sister! I love that baby! Could he BE any cuter!!!!???!!!

Oh Teresa, I was crying reading your reply to me. It WAS a scary time!! I really thought I could die and here I have these 2 precious babies, a wonderful family, a wonderful life. I am so thankful for every day now- even when I feel awful! I love you!!!!

I'm sorry mom and dad didn't take any pictures of you!! I've thought about giving you some of my baby pictures and letting you say they were of you! Our parents weren't too good about taking pictures of us at all, but you really got shorted in the baby picture department!

No, he could not BE any cuter! That kid just melts my heart!

He is soooo cute and the shirt is great too!!:thumbsup2 Glad that you are feeling better  and prayers for you!
Thank you!!

Heather...OMG you are amazing!!!! Love it:Pinkbounc I must CASE this! Actually, since it was such a breeze for ya-just make me up 2 for my boys!!:rotfl: I'm really glad that you're back & you're having a "good day"!!::yes:: You're in my prayers.

Sawyer is such a little handsome dude, you are blessed!!
Yeah, I'll get right on making those shirts for your boys....:rolleyes1

Thank you for the compliments! My kids really are little blessings. This disease also causes miscarriages. I didn't know I had it until after Sawyer was born. I've since learned that only 10% of babies live to delivery when the mother has APS. I lost a baby before Tessa and this may have been the cause.

TOO CUTE!!!! I love that little guy. Sawyer not the turkey-well, the turkey too- so that makes it doubley cute!!
Aw, you're so sweet!

Oh My Goodness! How ingenius to turn the turkey into an applique! AND he is such a cute little gobbler!
Thank you!!!

I vote for campfire !!!
SOOO glad today is a good day. And just so you don't feel like the only freak I have some crazy thing called "Raynaud's Phenomenon" which causes constriction of blood vessels in your digits (finger and toes) and sometimes ears, nose or lips to constrict and become ice cold and numb. Sometimes randomely, sometimes triggered by cold or positioning (like everytime I have my foot of the clutch my second toe goes completely numb) It's crazy and isn't life threatening or anything but only about 5- 10% of the population have it and my sister and I both were diagnosed w/ it. Crazy!!

Hey ther I am a lurker... I ahve Reynaud's too. I have not met very many other people with it. I have a severe case. My whole hand ans foot can go numb at times! It is a big pain!! The Dr. said that stress also causes constriction. I just wish their was a med for it!

Thank you!!!

When I was pregnant I saw a perinatologist, Dr. D. Ware Branch whom I believe is one of the leading experts in treating women with APS. He was sure gone enough traipsing around the world speaking about it! :rotfl: But he was an excellent Dr.

Hi, Chantell!
IMO the brother is the better machine it has a lot of features that I like and I have recommended it to my daughter, Alikat99. I personally prefer Brother machines. Nana

BTW, Thanks Everyone for the compliments on the "Kiss the girl" Dress. :goodvibes I'll have to remember to put the pictures into my "Recreate-able Designs" category...

THANK YOU!! I'm putting this on my Christmas list.

Well, it's not on sale 50% off anymore, but I know that our Hancocks had brand new bolts. I can go again if anyone wants it.

This is the new Tink fabric I got from Hancocks last night.

And, these are the 2 new Little Einsteins fabrics that I got at Hancocks too.

LOVE:love: all of the fabrics! Tooo cute!

Not that I'm asking, BUT if I was searching for those Zuma pants somewhere...does a zuma princess sound reasonable??:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Yes or you may want to try oh I don't know, princess zuma pants? Just guessing!;)

Oh wow, he really looks like you in that picture! That turkey is the cutest, I love his button eyes!

OOOH, that would be fun! Bring Steph!

She is being mean! Hey MISTY!!! teach Wendy to upload pictures!

I was pretty excited about the serger!!! :dance3:

Have I ever mentioned that my brother has tons of baby pictures, Heather has tons of baby pictures, but me??? The MIDDLE CHILD has ONE! ONE single baby picture!! Apparently my beauty was too great for the camera to behold and it broke! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

HEATHER!!! That is SOOO cute!!!!!!! You are a clever one my sister! I love that baby! Could he BE any cuter!!!!???!!!

1) Ok!
2) Yes, someone needs to teach her now!
3) I am excited for you!
4) My sister has hardly any baby pictures either. They tell her that our dad was in Vietnam when I was born so they took lots and he was home when she came around so they knew what she looked like and didn't take any. It's a shame, because she was a beautiful baby (red hair, blue eyes, very much like Lydia)
5) No, he could not be any cuter! I just want to pinch his cheeks!

Love that Tink! Megan told me the other day that Little Einsteins is for babies. I couldn't believe it!

I CANNOT believe I missed the FISH KILLER dragging my good name through the mud, and trying to get you guys to side with HER!!!

I was laughing so hard my husband came to check on me. His only comment, it made national news? I said, well, Michigan anyway.

And is there a universal pattern for the vertical stripwork jumper or has everyone used the one on YCMT.com ? Anyone willing to share there universal pattern if there is one?

I Frankensteined my own pattern for the stripwork jumper. I can share the specifics if you would like.

Don't feel bad, Emily told me the same thing after I bought that fabric last night. Thankfully, Madison still loves Little Einsteins, so at least I can make her something!!!

oh, I want some if you are getting some. I don't have a Hancocks or a hobby lobby or anything here...I will gladly send the money asap! Sale or no sale...a yard and a half of each would be great! or whatever you can get.

Susan

That would be GREAT !

First off - HeatherSue- your turkey applique is adorable, as is Sawyer.

Second- okay I just have to vent and know you ladies will understand. My husband was able to get 2 txs to Hannah Montana, the only problem is we have 2 girls who would both love to go. How are we suppose to decide which one goes? These are company txs so that's all they would give out since everyone wants them. Good DH for getting the txs, BAD DH for getting only 2.

Thirdly - here is the girls nemo dresses. I'm not really happy with them but since I made DS something with Nemo and I already had the fabric they wanted something too. I think I am going to attempt a Nemo applique on the front, I'm not afraid of simple appliques but this one scares me a little. Anyone have any other ideas that I could put on the bodice?

Lastly - There are some super cute Little Einstein jeans and a rugby style shirt at Target for boys. I didn't buy them since my kids don't watch that but I did get a cute LS gray shirt with Mickey and Pluto for $7. They also have LE outfits for girls with skirts and leggings underneath.

She carried this HEAVY rocket ship on suspenders all over the neighborhood..."I'm a wocket!"

Now you know why I need that fabric!

Susan

unfortunately I don't have my own computer and could not get to the one I used that day. But I've found it...thanks

Good news. I had my interview today at the blood bank and they offered me a position. It starts a dollar an hour less than I make now, but I'm also not getting any hours now so it will be better than nothing. There are lots of chances for pay raises though. If I want to get my CDL license they will pay for my classes and testing...so, totally psyched about becoming an official "truck driver" But at the same time a little nervous about driving one of those big blood mobile trucks.
Of course I won't start training till after backround and reference checks etc. Probably around Dec.3rd. too far away. but what are ya gonna do?
This job is really kinda perfect for me, I hope that they will be able to work with my school schedule next semester.

BTW...the nemo mickey head applique is just great!! I never thought of outlining the head and ears seperately but DH and I really like the way it turned out!

...t.

Congratulations!

Hi Everybody,
I wanted to post a photo of the Grinchy Fleece poncho that I made.

th_288100338.jpg

th_288100357.jpg

It's still not 100% finished. I still have to stitch the ties on and decide if it needs anything else.

Love this! How did you get that applique so exact? Great job!
here is my new finally finished Scottie Dog outfit! This 3 day weekend got me movin!
th_IMG_3487.jpg

th_IMG_3495.jpg

and here is the pics of the down on the farm. I won't be using this fabric into something else. I like it, but Josephine says cows are for babys. geesh and it was from a sheet set so there is a ton left.
th_IMG_3507.jpg

Love all of the outfits, especially the cow! How old until they stop being a baby? I would love that for my 4 year old!

Does this little guy look familiar?
th_11-13-07turkeyapplique.jpg

I love the little turkey in you all's siggy, so I made him into an applique for Sawyer. This only took me about an hour to do. I just told myself I didn't care if I screwed stuff up, he'll only wear it a few times. Here's Sawyer wearing his new sweatshirt (he loves it and kept saying "gobble, gobble"):

th_11-13-07littleturkeyinaturkeyshirt.jpg

And here he is busting a move:
th_11-13-07bustingamove.jpg

WOW! Sawyer's such a cutie pie! Great job on the applique!

That would be GREAT !

Ok, pm me if you don't understand any of this because I am just going to hope I make sense. I use a pattern for the bodice, I used McCalls M5310 but you could use any similar pattern (and there are probably some in Teresa's bookmarks). Then I made a pattern for the strips. I think a-shaped ones are the easiest to deal with and look the best. For my tall girl (size 5/6) I drew a line 4 inches wide at the top, 6 inches wide at the bottom and 12 inches long. Then I measure how many inches around the bodice is and doubled it and then divided by 3 (figuring that's how wide the tops of the a-shapes would be with seam allowance) and that's how I figured out how many strips I would need. I then added a 4 inch ruffle to the bottom. To figure how long to make the ruffle, I multiplied how many strips I had by 5 inches per strip (with seam allowance) and then doubled it. When I made a size 2/3 jumper I used an a-shape that was 3 inches wide on the top, 5 inches wide on bottom and 8 inches long. HTH!

Thirdly - here is the girls nemo dresses. I'm not really happy with them but since I made DS something with Nemo and I already had the fabric they wanted something too. I think I am going to attempt a Nemo applique on the front, I'm not afraid of simple appliques but this one scares me a little. Anyone have any other ideas that I could put on the bodice?
th_disboutique095.jpg

I love the pink and green together, very cute! When I made a Nemo outfit for my daughter I found the cutest Nemo iron on at JoAnn's. I think it would look perfect on the bodice!
