Ok I won't take up any more room here- I'll have a ton more in my report- I took over 800 pictures. That's after I deleted the bad ones!!!! :scared1:
Aww your pics are so cute I love the little tink darling.

Hey guys, just wanted to pop in. I know I have been quiet lately. I probably won't be on here as much. I will occasionaly stop in. Dh and I have basicly decided we are done having kids and even though it is really my decision it is still a little heartbreaking to think of all the cute girl clothes I will never make. I just need to get my head together a little bit I think, but I will be back...with a vengence. ;) OK, I have no idea what that means but, it sounded funny.
Plus we are probably going to WDW in Dec. next year so I have to make some outfits for that!

I can sympathize. We recently decided that we are done having babies too. I sometimes get sad at the thought of not having a daughter. Looking at all these girl outfits never helps. I'm really hoping for a niece soon (only nephews so far). Unitl then I just think how much money I am saving by not buying all those American Girl dolls and adorable fabrics I would be unable to resist if I had a little girl.

LOVE the pics from the World! Thanks for sharing.

Alikat: I am jealous that you ventured over to Tampa without me! I have wanted to check out that Hancock's but with JoAnn's being so close I am just too lazy to try to find it. I don't even go over to the quilt shop much. It's probably better for my wallet that way.
The Hancock's is actually pretty easy to find. It's on Dale Mabry, south of I-275 a few miles. It's on the East side of the street, across from a Publix. We all might just have to meet there some day.

Guess what I got for $50??????? Can yah guess, can yah??? HMMMMM........should I tell yah??????? Yah, .......

A serger!!!! It's the Singer one, and I've heard they aren't as good, but for $50 I thought I'd give it a try! Laura (the Seamstress) told me about a dispaly model that was collecting dust at a Walmart near us. So, I called and talked to the fabric department manager, who then talked to the store manager. She just wanted it gone, so she talked the manager into letting me have it for $50!!!! I haven't actually tried it out yet though. But, it does come with a little DVD that I have started watching. Now, what can I do with this machine????

Yeah!   I hope you have fun learning how to use it!

So cute! I have Ariel fleece just sitting here waiting to become a jacket. You did a great job on yours!

Spongemommie told me she saw a Poke Mon outfit posted recently and I cant find it! Anyone know at a glance where it may be? My boys are Gaa Gaa over Pokemon! I just ordered my first BOLT of fabric...with Pikachu on it.

That is Jacob in his Pikachu pjs. I just happened across that fabric on the clearance shelf of my quilt shop. He loves them!

Thank you! I know how to go to the airport and that's about it. When Jacob was three we had just moved here and I took him to the Wiggles concert at th St Pete Time Forum. I got lost and drove around in circles forever! He kept saying from the back seat, don't cry Mommy, we'll find it! I kept running into cruise ship place.

You are so lucky!!!! Let us know how it works.

How cute they are! That fabric looks so tricky to work with, great job!

I was hoping someone would post pics of this new fabric!!!! I've been sick since Sunday night and I'm trying to catchup but now I have to get better so I can go to Hancocks!!!!!!!!!!

Deann...it's sick this relationship we are developing!!

It's still not 100% finished. I still have to stitch the ties on and decide if it needs anything else.
That applique is beautiful! Ireland sure looks much better, glad to see that!

Awwww very cute picture....I have "extended" twins, 15 months apart...:rotfl2: its great fun!

HaHaHa that is what I call my first 2, they were 14 months and 2 days apart! I sometimes look back and wonder how I survived that, especially when my youngest DS was 14 months 2days just recently.

LOVE all of these pics! Your kids are ADORABLE!

THANKS FOR REPLIES ABOUT LAYERING...NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT...GOOD IDEA, LONG SLEEVE TEE UNDER THE SHORT SLEEVE....CAN YOU TELL I HAVEN'T HAD KIDS IN A HUNDRED YEARS? NOW I RECALL DOING THAT WITH THE GIRLS YEARS AND YEARS AGO...REMEMBER, MY KIDS ARE YOUR AGES!

OK, SO those of you who applique...OR those of you who bought appliqued jeans...what is the method here, with cutting the seams.

I bought Nick a pair of overalls with Diego on them and the entire inner leg and crotch (can I say that, or should I say stride?) area were cut right at the sea and then stitched back together with a 5/8 inch seam, which makes them tighter, and I didn't like that heavy seam being against his little legs and tender skin...what do I do with the 5 pair that I have? How did you cut them? HELP Please...time is running out and my procrastinating is getting so bad...I could never make anything as beautiful as Tom because I never take the time to do it so exquisitely....I just fly by the seat of my pants...it's the nurse in me...rush rush rush, eat fast at lunch, you only get 30 min and 15 of that was waiting in line...rush rush rush, hope everyone has survived by the end of the shift, go home and worry about what you may have done wrong or didn't do...and then back again...no wonder I procrastinate...all that and raising 5 kids, I have a right to be nutso!

Oh, I am off track again, I feel like Dori, I have a short circuit in my brain.

Anyway, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Susan

There are still openings in lots of the groups!! We have 6x6 groups, Fat Quarter groups, and Yardage groups! You can do more than just quilt with the 6x6 squares - think of the cute decoupage jeans you could make. And Fat Qurters are perfect for Stripwork jumpers! So if anyone still wants in, come on over, we'd love to have you. Besides, the people in the groups that aren't full want you to join so they can send out (and get their) fabric! We aren't closing the swap until December 1st.

OK, I know I am WAAAAAY behind, but where are these swaps?

CASTLECREATIONS - What a darling poncho. Ireland seams to be healing up very well. Have you gotton any cards yet? I had a few other friends from another board im on send her some.

I have a question related to our favorite auction site. If you bid on something overseas, can you send them a money order. I asked the seller..and they haven't replied yet. In their listing, it says money order...but I'm not sure where to even buy an international money order...the post office, perhaps...hmm...confusing....

Sorry if someone answered this, I am 4 days behind on posts...but...You can get international money orders at the post office for many countries. You need to tell them which country, adn they'll tell you whether or not you can do it. Also, I THINK western union or some other money sending places can do foreign money orders. Do they want it in foreign currency or US dollars? THat's where I don't know.

Oh has anyone ever ripped the outer seems out of a pair of jeans and put in fabric to add a few inches?

I just make Cassie patch jeans high school musical themed and didnt try them on first:mad: of course they are to tight on her thighs..

I do this all the time. It's VERY simple. What do you need to know?

Anyone: what is that magic sizing stuff again and where do you find it? I washed and dried some Christmas fabric and it is horribly wrinkled even after ironing it. I looked in my JoAnn's today but couldn't find it.

I haven't made it to the end yet, so I apologize if this has already been answered. I buy my Magic Sizing at Wal-Mart. In my store it's in the laundry isle next to the other spray startches, stain sticks, carbona, etc.
I guess it's a sizing as opposed to an actual spray startch, but to me it just seems like a light starch.

Here is my shameless post.

Sammie could not keep her eyes off minnie.
OH, you guys are SOOO cute!!!
ALSO! Teresa, you know that quilted jacket someone posted last month? Where is it in the index? It was kind of an I-Spy jacket with tons of piced Disney characters on it. Did you index that?
Did you need the directions or just the picture? I'm not sure I indexed the directions. Sometimes these things slip my mind!

That's the Tink your Grandma made, isn't it? It is just gorgeous! What a bunch of cuties you guys are!! I can tell you were having a wonderful time!!!

I hope I can figure it out! I need to do some cleaning today, so I'm not sure if I will get to it. To be honest, I'm a little intimidated with the contraption! I need to try it out before Corey does though!

OH, you poor thing driving around lost inTampa with a three year old!

How cute they are! That fabric looks so tricky to work with, great job!

Hmmm, it never occured to me that the fabric should have been tricky to work with! I'm glad I didn't, because it all went very smoothly, and I'm not a big pin user. It's really noisy fabric though, so when they wore them to our meetings, I tried to get them to sit as still as possible!

WooHoo! Mostly finished with Chip and Dale dress. I have some acorn buttons I need to figure out what I want to do with.

Pardon the crazy faces she's making - we had ice cream after dinner and she's been bouncing off the walls ever since! I'm considering myself lucky that she paused long enough for a couple of pics!

Now I've gotta go catch up on all the new posts!

WHERE did you get the chip and Dale fabric?? They don't have it at the stores around here, and DS wants something with it!

WENDY I found the directions for you. I also added these to the bookmarks.

I took a sweatshirt, a size larger then you wear, cut it apart. You don't need squares, just different sizes and put them in any sort of angle you want. Zig Zag them down. When your done, do a freehand stitching all over it. It's a quilter foot. Put the sweatshirt back together. Cut down the front of the shirt, round off the corners. I made my own bias tape and edged it. I got it from a pattern at the quilt store, but I think the same woman has it on a Butterick pattern. 4056.
