Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 4

I missed way too much and dont' have nearly enough time to post today...we leave for O-town in 4 days and I have to finish Littles patchwork skirt (should be today)and of course I was inspired yesterday when I ran across YARDS of shabby chic fabrics I had stored in Lily's room for a valance and some other fabric treatments in her room DH wants to do an animal theme (I'm thinking vintage circus??) for her room so the calicos are ALL MINE!!! Could I possibly squeeze in a last minute project??? eh, the dishes can wait till after vacay

Real quick, some stuff I want to comment on- though I haven't been through all the pages I missed... Wedding and preggo pics, you guys continue to stun me w/ your beautiful pictures.

Prince Charming... What a great idea and a great costume too. I bet the girls love their brother... The cars dresses on the trips are so FUN!!! They looked great.
Lots of great outfits, the pirate petal skirt is FAB, I was thinking of making this till you mentioned hemming the petals... it will wait until I have a rolled hem foot or access to a serger.

I have to go get to work on this patchwork dress...Hopefully I will be done tonight and can start working on my non-disney calico project- My DH thinks I've lost my mind.

PS. Can I just say I LOVE having a sewing machine at my house!!! This weekend was busy B had 2 shows and we had some other "things" going on, so I didn't get to sew at all and last night at 12:00 I was feeling like I hadn't accomplished anything and couldn't sleep so I drug out my patches and finishes sewing them together..I think I would have finished the dress last night if I hadn't decided I needed a black ruffle in between each tier (am I NUTS ) Of course I also decided I need a double layer ruffle on the bottom and I'm not sure I have enough of that fabric... we shall see...

Since everybody is sharing pics of there pets I thought I would share some too.

This is my Molly. She is a 2 year old Beagle.

This is my ds' dog, Patches. He is a 5 year old Lab/Dalmatian mix. We brought him home 4 weeks before Gladys was born.

DS wanted to take the kitten home with us- He said he didn't want a pet dog anymore.

DD wore her tutu to the pumpkin patch-

We went to a halloween party over the weekend, dd was a little witch (I bought the costume last year after halloween for like $2. And I made the Baby legs and we tie-dyed the onesie.

ds was buzz- I only got one decent picture of him he was to busy playing with the other kids- we lost the helmet part so we had to make a new one- looks more like a scuba diving helmet, but it will have to do!!! That's my mom with him- she was a witch too.

I just got back from WM and I didn't see any sparkly fabric, brown or otherwise! Sorry Heather!

I am thouroughly impressed by this entire board. This coming from someone who bought a Mickey head cross-stitch kit this weekend (you know the one; basic, supposedly easy). I gave up after the first ear. . Granted, I did take home-ec for two years in high school and made an attempt of a skirt. Oh jesh, that thing was wrong, wrong, wrong in so many ways.

Mary Poppins Outfit----Ms. Poppins was quite impressed!

Minnie Dot dress---This was the EASIEST thing to create...Took about 2 hours and $10 worth of fabric. Such an easy outfit to keep cool in! I can't find a picture of the front of the dress, though!

ok, so Josephine had a cute little dress made out of this pooh fabric from 2006 easter. well it did not fit anymore! So I re-worked it, tore the skirt apart and just made a stripwork jumper out of the panels! My hubby says it is boring looking. it is a little I think, but that is the color of the fabric! Anyways, it was nice to re-use the fabric into something now. this is dress length now and she will get to wear it for a little while longer.

Oh thank you!! I don't have a piece of the brown left. So, here's a closeup of the brown that I used in Cinderella's shirt. The brown fabric I need is just like this orange fabric in the rest of the picture, but it's dark brown. Our WalMart had it with the Fall type fabrics. I'd probably only need 1/2 yard to finish the dress. Just let me know if you find it!!

I'll look for you at my Walmart today!!!!! Hope I WIN!

THE TOOTH FAIRY DRESS!!!!!! I couldn't skim back far enough...but its AWESOME! What a great idea! I was the tooth fairy a couple years ago but I blacked out my teeth and handed out candy and told the kids NOT to crush their teeth so they'd look like mine....I was more of a tooth decay-witch!!!

Very cute outfit! DD4 calls glitter in her hair sprinkles too.

With all the pets being posted, I have to share too. Her name is Chewbacca, but we call her Chewie. Yes, dh does love Star Wars, thanks for asking. I had to promise him we cuold use that name if we got a cat because he kinda wanted a dog, but I'm soooooooo not a dog person.

i bought strands(trim) of rhinestones & i stitched on the strands...it was time consuming but well worth it!!
There are TONS of jewels...i never counted, but it was alot..lol

i love all the outfits all you girls make...it inspires me!!!!

HELP!!!

I'm making Butterick 5009 and have LOST piece 2 somewhere between when I last made it in July and now. It's the back piece for the bodice. I tried copying it off of the top I already have but the piece didn't mate up with the front piece. I'm making a size 6.

Does anyone have this pattern / piece that you can scan (it easily fits on a piece of paper) and email to me???

Awww..Chewie is so cute! I had a little calico kitty, when I was kid, named Tiffany. But, we called her T... No, we didn't call her T, but that would have been funny if we did!

I just got back from a quick weekend trip, and was behind 30-40 pages i think. It was so many i only skimmed the pages. Hope everyone is well. So many darling outfits, and preggo pics, and wedding pics and cute pet pics!

Your dogs are so cute!! I must admit, I have a slight aversion to beagles because my brother has an awful beagle that bites my niece all of the time and destroys everything in their house (that my husband and dad built). But, yours looks to sweet for that kind of behavior!

I would much rather sew than cross-stitch! You need to give it another try. Many of us had bad home-ec experiences! Show that home-ec teacher what you're really made of- make a twirl skirt! Come on, I dare yah!

I have no suggestions unfortunately. I am with you though, always trying to find something on their site and find the fabric hard to find what I want. And I now look at shipping as being so much easier then actually going too, too much gas and time, easily pays for the shipping! Good luck!

Just because I think it's funny - an extreme close up of my little ham. (Pardon the goose egg on her forehead - she fell hard the other day and went smack! on the wall. When DH was comforting her, he asked her if she needed a helmet and she said yes! She is very clutzy, poor thing. Oh and the stuff on her forehead is glitter, or "sprinkles" as she calls it. She insisted on it this morning.)

And one more, just so DH and DS don't feel left out.

Whew! I'm exhausted. I don't want tomorrow to be Monday!

What a fun time it looks like! Great family!

Ok, Just for laughs here is a picture of me pregnant with my DD the day I gave birth to her. I had a planned c-section a few hours after this picture was taken. My DS is 20 months in this photo.
My DD was a reasonable 8 1/2 lbs. My DS was 9 lbs 13 ozs. We had a 21+ hour labor and then went for a c-section. He was holding his head up in the delivery room!

I am wearing a mickey shirt but you can't tell LOL!

DS hair is so adorable! I miss that on Dallas! I wish it would still curl whenever I let it grow out!
