This is a photo from our escapade to Sea World, along with the other 1 million folks who decided to join us...LOL

This outfit is all done, except the skirt still needs hemmed! It looks like I'll be driving an hour to Hancocks to pick up a stinkin hemming foot! Anyway, as long as you don't look too closely, it looks ok! I shirred the back a little bit, she doesn't like how big peasant tops look on her. Not too bad for my first time, I didn't even practice first!!

Question: Do you think it needs a ruffle to make it longer? Dd doesn't want one, but I'm not sure if it looks too short or not?

CRTSarah3.jpg

Notice the black string on her eye? I didn't notice until after the pics, but it has been clipped!

And this one because I thought it was too cute! Her sister thought she needed a crown for her photo shoot!

This turned out great! Awesome job on the face. I think it looks fine, but I would probably add a ruffle in the contrasting fabric just to kinda tie it together. But that's just me.

I agree Jasmine looks GREAT! I think it would look good with a ruffle but if DD is not going to like it after ruffle maybe you should stay ruffle free lol.

That looks like the Don CeSar, a resort in St. Petersburg. You're right, that place is gorgeous.
You are very right, Steph! It is the Don CeSar. I fell in LOVE with that place, and cut down my guest list drastically to have my wedding there! We got married the week before Christmas, so it was decorated SO beautifully.

WOW!! That outfit is just stunning! I love it! Emily's new favorite princess is Jasmine, and I'm sure that she'd love this! Good thing that she's asleep right now!

And, I think that the length is just perfect!

Wow this turned out beautiful. I wouldn't add a ruffle and I think you will like the way the blind hem foot works. It makes a very nice almost invisible stitch.

Well, I had a multi-quote going, but I think I had about 47,000 posts quoted, so I thought maybe I shouldn't post something quite that long.

Everything has been fabulous - all the wedding/pregnancy photos. I'll have to see if I can do the picture of a picture thing and post some.

OK - off the top of my head here - I LOVED Heather's Cinderella pumpkin bodice (can't wait to see the finished product!) t-beri's minnie and princess toile outfits, all the tutus posted, the ribbon pants hanger storage thing (may have to case that) and TSNCS's dress. Oh, and angelfallenhere - that princess dress is darling! And desiab - so are those overalls! Stephres, my DS loved those pokemon pj's!

Nana, so sorry to hear about your fall/injury! I hope you heal quickly and feel better soon!

Whew! I'm sorry if I missed anyone - I seriously need to do a better job keeping up with this thread!

Ok, here's one thing that's been keeping me busy - a little pirate skirt for DD. It's the petal skirt pattern from YCMT. It wasn't too hard, really - but it took me forever to do the rolled hem on all those petals!

th_pirateskirt2.jpg

I need some help - what kind of top do you think I should make to go with this? I was thinking some kinda simple since the skirt is so busy? Maybe a red t-shirt with a pirate mickey head applique? Or a peasant shirt? What do you guys think?

Hope everyone's having a great weekend! We're finally going to the pumpkin patch tomorrow, so I'll have to post pics of dd's pumpkin outfit tomorrow when we get back. She is so over trying on clothes/having her pic taken today. :rotfl:

I personally like the peasant tops. The skirt is too cute! I've watched that e-book author's creations on ebay and they go for a ton! Yours is just as cute!

Awww, Sophie still has her puppy nose! Scrappy turned a year in May and sadly, does not get people food so I have no idea if he likes bananas or not. That is the cutest picture! His favorites to sneak if they fall on the floor is popcorn and anything chicken.

Was Sophie hard to house train? I kept telling Jacob, Scrappy is this cute because his cuteness is the only thing keeping him alive right now! I thought he would never get it, and I stayed home a lot with him!

My Oscar (I'm going to have to take a picture of him and show him off too I guess!) was pretty easy potty training after I learned to only give him food and water 3 times a day until he "got it". He has food and water all day now but it really helped him learn and I didn't have to watch him like a hawk! DD4 was 10 months old when we got him and very jealous too! One day he had an accident in the house and I ran and got paper towels to soak it up but didn't grab enough. I ran back to get more and when I came back Grace had picked up the used paper towels and was sucking on them:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: ! I almost started to cry but I kept telling myself, "Urine is sterile, Urine is sterile" like a mantra! Of course DH was out of town as always so no help there! What I do for my silly dog!

I have LOVED seeing everyone's wedding and preggo pictures. I can't find any of the preggo ones, but here are a few from our wedding.

Nana made my dress, except for me hand-sewing about 3,000 pearls onto the bodice. If I can find one later, Nana also sewed all the bridesmaids dresses, my MILs dress and the flower girl's dress (then she went out and actually bought her own :lmao:)

Beautiful, where were you married?

Ok I didn't so it but I am very happy with my Good Will find! Thanks for the idea revrob!
th_PA200008.jpg

I got him pants too that I am going to dye a dark brown. I know I need to get him the red and white sash ... any leads on fabric for that? What else do you guys think he needs?

I was some red and white striped fabric at Wal-mart (the stripes were about a 1/4 inch thick).

Cute skirts! Girls are adorable and look like the are having fun! Got to love those Target tees!

I agree that it could use a ruffle to tie in the coordinating fabric, but if your princess doesn't want it I wouldn't worry about it. It does look like it is long enough. Fantastic job on the applique too!

Okay, I am done hogging all of the posts and I multi-quoted this time!

Okay, I'm not trying to hog posts but.......I know a lot of us scrapbook too. The big chain store in my area (Dallas, TX) is Recollections (owned by Michaels arts and crafts stores) and it is going out of business. I got an email the other night saying that it would be business as usual until January 1 but after that they would begin closing stores. I used to live in Kansas where we had Archivers and I liked them better but now I'm not going to have anything as far as big stores go. The crazy thing about this is that the three locally owned stores that I have bought from in the past have gone out of business (one just 2 weeks ago) b/c they couldn't compete with Recollections. The nearest scrapbook store after they close will be close to an hour away. Very frustrating! I'll still have Joann's and Michaels close by but Ugh! Anyone know anything about this?

HI Doggie Friends!!

Zoey would also like to say Hi to the puppies!!!!
stuffedzoey3.jpg

Awwwww, your dog is so cute. I just lost my beloved Jack Russel, Suzie. She was hit by a car. I tear up everytime I see a dog these days. But, I love them, though!

Awww Hi Zoey! :wave2: You are a cutie pie sitting with all those Disney Friends!

So sorry to hear about Suzie, we lost our Gadget Kitty back in May and that is when we decided to get our little Sophie. She was old and had Kidney failure. I still tear up when I see her picture. This morning I saw our other kitty sitting on the back of the couch and I thought it was Gadget. I miss her a lot.

I found a little tiny Tinkerbell Costume at Target this week! Sophie is going to wear it for Halloween! I will have to post a photo of her once I get DS's Peter Pan costume done.

Can't wait to see Oscar!

Off to bed for me. Good Night!

I am loving all these wedding photos. DH and I just got married at the courthouse, it was his 2nd time and I wasn't into a big all out planned wedding, we have no family near here and didn't want to do it in another state, but we never even got a picture of us the day we got married. I am still sad to this day about it. I remember thinking that day about it but no one was around to take one!

So I am living through all your photos!

Ok, I was very jealous of everyone's beautiful pictures that I found mine. I was 24 and Tom was 25. I hate sleeves so I wore a short sleeve gown for 30 degree weather in February. My mom thought it would be cute to have all those little trees around, looks kind of Christmasy to me. I was not into planning and beside picking the dress and asking for yellow roses (my grandmother's favorites) she planned the whole thing.

Pregnant with M, sorry it's from a scrapbook page:

Meghan looks exactly like you!

Love it! Walmart had red/white striped too a couple weeks ago, $2 a yard.

OMG! The girls are so cute together! I am not sure I ever seen a picture of them together. I love the outfits! Hope all are going well for disney in a week!

Gorgeous! I love it! And the last photo is darling! I think it fine without the ruffle, although wondering if it would be easier to add a ruffle vs hemming but if DD doesn't want it then skip it!

I almost forgot, look what my mom made for Megan. She had a Halloween party at her dance studio tonight and she looked pretty stinkin' cute, if I do say so myself. She wanted her outfit blue with ELA for Jacob's soccer team (East Lake Arsenal). She plans to wear it to his games and cheer for him, isn't she sweet?

That is so sweet of Megan to cheer for her brother and want that on her uniform. Her hair is awesome by the way!

th_Scan005.jpg

Nana, heal quickly! Your work is beautiful and the place chosen for the wedding too, the sand looks like snow almost! I had to do a double take.

I have taken a break from sewing and officially decided Dallas is pretty much too old for most customs. I had some for disney we never even wore because they looked to toddler-ish. Guess I'll go back to making his Sesame Street quilt that he'll be 20 before I finish!

I figure I'll have more time back on this thread though as I love to watch and follow along. Had about 60 pages to read today, we had been gone to Ohio for the last 9 days! So happy to be home again!

I used that red and white striped fabric from Wal-mart in these skirts I made my girls:
