I never got a flyer about it, but today through Sat Joann has McCall's and Simplicity pattersn 99cents, and almost all of the fabric was on sale, a lot fo 50% off....I did get a coupon for 20% off entire purchase including sale items, and so I got a huge discount....the patterns came down to 79cents with that...and got tons of fabric for my stash...I am addicted to buying fabric. Now if only I became addicted to sewing it together!

Sorry about dropping out on the thread for a little while ...
I got busy with halloween outfits. + I wasn't feeling well for quite awhile.
Then, about 4wks ago, I was in the hospital for 2 days & a night = a "suspected minor cardiac infarction" ... nice, huh?!

We still don't know what caused it.
One morning after putting my 5yr old the bus, I SUDDENLY felt super-yicky, started passing in&out, left shoulder/arm hurt, I went NUMB all over, had troubles breathing, etc ... This had never happened to me before.
10 minutes later, I kept getting worse = so, I went to go to the ER.
As I was trying to get there, I fell down 1/2 a flight of stairs & fell out of the car. I was really weak & numb = I couldn't control my body/legs.

At the ER, we found out my BP was at 40/30 & 50/30! (usually I have HIGH Blood Pressure, we keep it well regulated, though)

Basically, my body was going into SHOCK ...
ekg's were off, but enzyme tests came back fine. (that's good!)
+ it was not a panic attack & I didn't double my HBP meds.
blood sugar was a tad high & iron was a tad low ...
neither really explained all of this mess!
They shipped me to the cardiac ward for observation.
Thankfully, the "incident" did not repeat!
Even as I left as an outpatient, they didn't know much more, but scheduled a ton of tests, for later.
Hopefully, we'll figure it out soon! !

I'm only 37 ... with NO intentions of leaving my babes without a mommy, NOR setting a new family record for youngest heart attack/death.

I still feel a bit yicky 24-7 ... + I can't even think of being more active = standing, walking makes me feel worse.
I am just taking everything ALOT EASIER/SLOWER now!
I hate it, but have no choice ... for now.

Well I have some prego pics to post, I haven't dug out my wedding pics yet,
because that means I need to scan them and then upload...not today!
I am too lazy!!! Ok these pics are from last summer when my DS was born.

A week and a half before I had my DS.

And because I love you all so much, either that or I must be drunk!!!!
Two days before my DS was born and the last time that I wore a bikini!!!

Here is my hospital pic, only a few minutes after my 9 pounder was born

Sophie was hard to house train but not as hard to train as our male schnauzer he is still a naughty dog and is not allowed upstairs where the carpet is. He goes in his crate when we are not home and at night.

It's not just male schnauzers that are hard to train!!! We have a female schnauzer who wasn't what I would call housetrained until she was over a year old. She JUST stopped chewing everything she sees and she's 2 1/2 years old. We had to crate her every time we left or she'd chew up all the kids toys. Now she's actually a really good dog, but a little weird. Ah heck, here's some pics of her when she was a puppy. This is Josie, or Josie Grossy as we tend to call her:

It was actually "funny" at times, because I was ready to leave after the 5th hour of being in that super-quiet cardiac ward!
I just kept saying that I wanted to GO HOME AND SEW!
I'm sure they don't hear that very often & probably thought I was a bit "off". But it was true.
I figured it this way = I could either sit there all wired up & plugged in, feeling yicky & not accomplishing anything ~OR~ be home feeling just as yicky, but happy that I was still able to sit & sew ...

One "good" POSSIBLE explanation, and that's still SCARY to contemplate really, was that one of my HBP pills (took them that AM) MIGHT HAVE BEEN "compacted" wrong at the manufacturer.
One of the doctors said "Oh, that sort of thing happens more often than you'd think! We see it about once a month, at least!" ... yicks!

They looked & felt the same as always, though! hmmmmm, makes ya wonder, right?! ... no one wanted to test my blood levels for those meds, to check that "theory, though ... I wondered why, for a bit, but it's too late to check now.

Also, he said something about the conversion of main ingredients & minor ingredients between NAME BRAND MEDS & GENERIC MEDS =
He said = sometimes, the generic versions of name brands are not exact copies = meaning they have the same MAIN ingredient, but alot of the other/minor ingredients will differ, sometimes ALOT! ...
yicks! That's the first time I ever heard that, too!

I love a good puzzle or mystery = but I really dislike medical ones~!

So I FINALLY got my DD's halloween costume finished!!! Well almost, I just have to hem it and close the back with snaps or velcro, I am NOT going to put in a zipper in. This has been the pattern from beeeeeep! I guess that is what I get for telling my DD that she could pick out the pattern. My model is not home right now but I just have to share this with someone will appreciate all my time and effort, that would not be my DH, he just keeps asking when I am going to be done with it so that we can eat at the table again! Any how my pics are done downloading so here is my DD's toothfairy costume.

Oh I tought about lining the teeth with sequins? Any thoughts, I thought at least the one on the bodice?

That is such a great idea! And the dress turned out gorgeous! The teeth look pretty sparkly from the photo, so I don't think you really need to do anything more to it.

My DH is a pharmacuetical sales rep and this is VERY true! It makes him so mad when drugs go generic or insurance that only wants people to use generics. Just because they are generic does NOT make them work the same way as the name brand!!! What happens is the patent on the drug expires and then the generic companies can make a similar drug with the same MAIN ingredient. Generics are cheaper, but they aren't always as effective!

I think I'm in love with Zoey!! She reminds me of my little Pepe Le Pew that we had when I was growing up. I still miss that dog!

Awwwww, your dog is so cute. I just lost my beloved Jack Russel, Suzie. She was hit by a car. I tear up everytime I see a dog these days. But, I love them, though!

I'm so sorry to hear about Suzie. It's so hard to lose a pet. We had to put my wonderful 16 year old schnauzer/cocker mix, Tomia, to sleep in January. I still cry about her on a regular basis.

One day he had an accident in the house and I ran and got paper towels to soak it up but didn't grab enough. I ran back to get more and when I came back Grace had picked up the used paper towels and was sucking on them ! I almost started to cry but I kept telling myself, "Urine is sterile, Urine is sterile" like a mantra! Of course DH was out of town as always so no help there! What I do for my silly dog!

I am loving all these wedding photos. DH and I just got married at the courthouse, it was his 2nd time and I wasn't into a big all out planned wedding, we have no family near here and didn't want to do it in another state, but we never even got a picture of us the day we got married. I am still sad to this day about it. I remember thinking that day about it but no one was around to take one!

So I am living through all your photos!

How sad! I 2nd my sister's opinion that you need to renew your vows and take some pictures!

What a cute idea! This costume turned out great and it doesn't look like it was easy. I think I have this pattern, but haven't had the guts to try it. It would be really cute with some "bling" around the tooth, but it looks great without it, too.

FYI I just looked at the Hobby Lobby ad from this week and Tulle is on sale. Both by the yard and the spools. Of course the week after I buy 50 yards of tulle.

I REALLY hope someone can help me here! I ran out of the dark brown sparkly fabric I used to make the ruffles on this bodice:

I still need to make a really long ruffle all around the bottom of the skirt. So, I went to all 3 of our local WalMarts and NO ONE has the brown sparkly fabric left!!! Does anyone on here happen to have 1/2- 1 yard of this fabric that they would sell to me? Please!!

Thank you! We had a lot less stress doing it that way. But after the wedding we didn't know what to do. So we changed our clothes and went shopping!

We had to take my mom to ER for the opposite problem: her blood pressure was so low she kept passing out. I'm glad you are feeling better and I hope they get the med thing straightened out.

Former Pharma Sales Rep- There can be up to a 20% variance in the drug formula between generic and brand name. But also a lot of times the generic is manufacturer in the same plant as the Brand name but sold under the generic name (usually in this case there is not much of a price difference).
