Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 4

This makes me super nervous because I ordered this dress and it should be here this weekend for our upcoming trip (12 days    ) I hope it fits. What did you do to help make it fit---did you have to resew because I am out of time. I just had to resew a camp shirt I ordered for Russell(1)---it probably would have fit Roseanna(4). I have been sewing like crazy and turned to voldermort for some help---but turning into not so helpful.

Don't let these sellers disuade you from the "e" place. I know for me I always make sure the customer is happy. I would hate for someone to be unhappy. look at there feedback. if anything is less then excellent than you have to think about it!

I got my first Negative feedback this week. I started my account around four years ago!!! This lady was unreasonable. She got the deal of the lifetime and still complained. I had documented proof from USPS (she got free shipping too.) and she still gave me a negative score. Sometimes, you cannot help how long the USPS takes. I at least commented on the negs but it is permanent.

I think I showed you all this one, before it was finished. Well I finally got the waist band on it and took my pictures for Valedemort, or Wallyworld, or whatever we're calling it..:rotfl:

I think this is one of my favorite safari Minnie outfits ever!

You guiys are making me want to have more kids and I am 48 y.o. ! These pics are so darling. I'm wondering if I can hold on 'til January when my DD has her baby. Do you think it would be too much to make a Disney outfit to bring the baby home from the hospital in?? :rotfl:
If you want an unbiased opinion, you are asking the wrong group!!! You should definetely make a disney coming home outfit!!!! Is it a boy or girl? Congratulations Grandma!

These pics aren't great, I nabbed them before taking DD to the bus.

Her pirate skirt.....It has one band of black with white skull and crossbones at the top then the full part in pink pirate. Under it a layer of black tulle, then a layer of white.
She loves it. She is wearing it with a homemade Elizabeth Swann tee that says "Hello poppet" She came up with the saying.

She looks adorable!!! Cute outfit!

My husband doesn't get it either. When my parents were sitting for the kids down here they took them to Weekie Wachie and DH was like, why are they going there? For the mermaids of course! Sheesh! Megan has an icon on my desktop so she can look at the mermaids whenever she wants.
See, someone else agrees with me! REAL mermaids!!! Come one! That is SOOOOO COOL!!
Well, we're off! Finally Gracie will wear her outfits. If you see us at the parks say hi!
Have fun Angel!!! I can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back!
In defense of Weeky Wachy (I can NOT figure out how to spell that!), I was about 12 years old the last time I went. So, maybe that's why I didn't like it. Do 12 year olds like anything?
NOT if their name is Heather Sue!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Poor Mom. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
The skirt was pretty easy to make...until I got to the hem. UGH!!! I don't have a clue how to sew a curved hem and this had 18 curved hems to sew. It doesn't look very good when you look at it closely.
I beg to differ, I SAW this skirt up close, and it STILL looks good, even the hem!
As to where you went wrong- you took me everywhere with you when I was 11 and you were 16. Did you really expect me to think the Mermaids were cool after that (cruisin' Westnedge Ave in a Malibu station wagon)?
:rotfl2: About Marna's wedding.
But, you were so much fun!

I KNEW you would like that about Marna's wedding! ;)
Thanks everyone for the compliments on the Pony dress. I pretend that I sew for my children, but it's actually to earn acceptance from all of you. :flower3:
As if the love and adoration from her big sister weren't enough! :snooty:

I made this to try out ribbon before I do my shirts and my best friends daughter can wear it.

Very cute!

Okay, if anyone's curious about what the Weeki Wachee show is, here's a link to some of the show on youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=G52eNM4wsaY&mode=related&search=
Great, I just spent the last 15 minutes watching mermaids on Youtube with Liddy! I sure hope Weeki Wachee doesn't close before we get there in May! Lydia wants to go so bad! Of course, she is convinced that those are real true mermaids, and who am I to tell her otherwise???? Hehe, even Arminda believes it!
Mostly just a lurker here - but I wanted to share some of the things
I've been doing. This is Sophie, our youngest, she's 20 months. She
refuses to pose for photos, I have to bribe her with candy.:scared1:
(I'm a dietitian:rotfl: ). She also has drool all over her because she
kept taking the candy out of her mouth and looking at it.:rotfl2:

I actually made this last year for MNSSHP, my husband calls it her disco
mickey outfit. I'm going to lengthen the straps a little before our next trip.

Back to school outfit for the older girls first day...
th_101_0729.jpg

This one I just did for her because she likes "kitties". My mom had ordered
this redondo twirl skirt pattern, so I thought I would give it a shot. Not easy!!!
Anyone have any tips on sewing the strips together? Maybe it was b/c I made
hers by a size 1/2 and the spirals are a little more tight?
th_101_0728.jpg

And then the Minnie Safari outfit...
th_0724.jpg

I used the link from Teresa's bookmarks (from just tutes) to make the peasant
style shirt. It was pretty easy, but I down-sized it by an inch all around and it's
almost too small. So if anyone needs to know, I think the pattern is about a
size 2T. Have a great night everyone.
Sophie is adorable!!! I love the outfits!!
2cutekids and tonya,
I am ashamed to say, but I cannot remember who made the cindy bows. i had so many things made the last few months. I will try to find out though.
As for the dress...I wanted it super short w/bloomers. I like it longer but for my daughter, something short and easy to move around in would work better for her. We are wimps in that Florida heat! I didn't have any issues with the size, thankfully. Are we allowed to post who made the outfits in an open forum here (from that place where you can buy stuff by bidding...I see you all have cute nicknames so I honestly have no idea if I can even put the *E* word here)? I don't mind doing so if it's okay. :goodvibes

I have been told, by WebmasterDoc, that we can post Ebay usernames here. However, most sellers would prefer you ask them before posting their usernames on a public forum.

I love these!!!!!!! I'm dying to know if it's using the YCMT spiral skirt pattern? Anyone?
It looks like it to me.
When that started playing, dd16 said "what the heck are you watching"? It was pretty funny! The halfway through it she said I remember Paris & Nicole doing that on their show. And sure enough, I searched youtube and found a video of them, but didn't watch it.

I have to admit those mermaids look pretty impressive! We might have to go there Heather!
AHHH, another convert!!!! I will single handidly (with the help of Heather, Steph and T.) SAVE WEEKI WACHEE!!!!

Let's see if I can explain this - put a basting stitch at the top (without backstitching either end). Then pin at the 1/2 and possibly 1/4 marks (so that everything is even), then pull one of the threads to gather everything up. Sew in place. Did that make sense? (Was that even what you were asking?) I don't have a ruffler foot, and can do some dandy gathering. This is how I was taught.

That helps as well - thanks!

I have three guesses already!!!

I just love the disco mickey! Perfect for the POP! I may just CASE that one!!

Yup those are custom jewels! Although after looking at the pics, they were always backwards, and half way around my neck. On my Aladdin set, Genie's hair kept stabbing me in my neck, so I kept flipping him upside down, of course he'd turn right back up. Oh well. I strung that one a bit too short.
All the character beads are from our favorite bead maker on Voldemort (pm me if don't know who it is). I had fun with them!

I meant to mention, even my tink set was too big for DD3. I remeasured her about 7 times. I was so nervous paying so much and getting it wrong. I was able to remove one seam that held the elastic around the chest, and carefully pulled it forward into the bodice part, by about 3 inches, then stitched it back down. Good news is she'll be able to wear for the next two years! The jeans were big too, they will just be capris next year.

Okay, I think I just spent 45 minutes watching Weeki Wachee youtube videos, checking out their websites, watching the comedian tryout to be the merman, now I want to go! I love history, so when they said it's a historical site, I say "Save our Tails!" I sure hope they win the court battle. I thought I grew up in a small town, (9 families) they have 9 residents!

Of course I know Adelaide! It is the sole city that helped me to keep my sanity while we were in Broken Hill.... even if it was 5 hours away from there! I just loved that city- it's so beautiful. I have many , many good memories of Adelaide. You are a lucky girl to live there!

Thankyou very much we love Adelaide it is like a big country town. Broken Hill can be an interesting to place.

For some reason the tear away stablizier decided to tear away as I sewing so the letters are really jaunty!

Oh this is so cute!!! I plan on doing some custom stuff for me too if my DH ever decides to OK a trip to Disney.:confused3

I love it, great job!

YES! We have another one! I hope they win too, I would be so sad if it closed. It's such a part of Florida history!

That guy trying out for a merman was pretty funny!

I went to JoAnn's last night to buy some batting for the rag quilt I have on my to-do list. They had 3 different types that I found: Lo-Loft, Hi-Loft, and I can't remember the 3rd. That's helpful. It sounded like it was higher than Hi-Loft. Something like Extra-Loft? Anyway, I wasn't sure which one to buy, so I went with Hi-Loft. Is this a good choice? There was no Middle-Loft. When in doubt, I like to go with the middle option. Since one was Lo, one Hi, and the third Extra, I decided on Hi because it sounded like the middle option. Did I do good or should I return it for something else?

I need to leave negative feedback, but I hate to!
I've got my research together, I just keep dreading it. The seller put in the auction that the big magic card can be used with SE-270D, but it can not.
and I've emailed the seller with no luck. Here's what's been said:

I really could not tell you. I do know that is works on my machine. The other machines that it will work on which was stated in the auction is: Innov-ís 1500D, Innov-ís 2500D, Innov-ís 4000D, PC-8500D, PE-170D, PE-750D, SE-270D, ULT-2002D, ULT-2003D. that is all that I can tell you. I naver had any problems with any of the card that I had or have. Thank you and good luck.

Any suggestions on how to handle this?

I had to take it in about an inch on each side :scared1: ! I wouldn't worry, it's been kinda hit or miss with her though (the dress also smelled like cigarettes) I got this dress at the same time from her too and it fits pretty good. Same measurements :confused3 She was going through a move so maybe that had something to do with it, too busy?

If anyone wants her id pm me, she's on etsy too - I'll try to find it!

Can't you file a dispute or is that just to get the refund on the money. I actually had an issue where i bought a phone and the cell sent me a tracking number that wasn't valid. It was 3 digits less then what it was suppose to be. I tried and tried to work it out with her. But she insisted that it had been signed for and recieved. Clearily it was received by someone and but not me. And I couldn't get the correct tracking number from her. She sent me a VERY nasty email where she said i had signed at a particular time and day. Meanwhile I had actually been in the hospital because my husband was having a HUGE surgery...so..ummm, no I wasn't an hour away at my house. I even told her that. but then she refused to respond to me.

I told her that I would have no choice but to dispute if she didn't send the correct tracking number so that we could sort it out. So then I filled out a dispute and gave them then tracking number and referenced her emails. They investigated and said that I was correct and they gave her the opportunity to send the correct tracking number as well, so they could verify where it had been received. She sent them a nasty gram. So they actually refunded my money.

She left me a negative feedback, which was crazy. But I had the opportunity to comment, so i just hope people see what when they lookat the negative. but some people are jsut whacky!

Castle Creations:

Did you have a pattern for your Minnie Pirate outfit? I love it and it's so darling!

Traci - where did you get your Cindy bows? I'm looking for a set for DD to wear with the same dress!!

I must say that I love seeing all the beautiful creations, but it is some much more special to actually see the pictures from "The World"!

Karrierock - Where did you get the SMiles around the world fabric and ribbon? I LOVE IT!

Beautiful girl...... great outfit!

Nana ~ THanks for the fabric. I got it and have been soooooooo busy! I can't wait to make something for my youngest dd.

Karrierock ~ I just realized I posted from within a post..... oops! :confused3 Anyway.... I love your SmilesARoundtheWorld fabric/ribbon. Where did you buy it?

Hi. Been too busy to post much lately.

Wanted to ask why we lost our boys folder in the disbotique photobucket. All my boy shirt images are gone.

It was a lot easier to find boy outfits with a boy file.

:confused3

Hey Ladies,

I would not often post things of this nature, but feel this is something really worth your time. It's a newscast about another form of breast cancer that is not detected with a mammogram and many women have hardening of the breast tissue and play it off (there is no lump w/ this cancer) and others are treated for bug bites..... It is not long but it could save yours or a loved ones life.....)

Blessings,
I just received this from a friend. I'm glad she passed it on to me, as I was unfamiliar with this type of breast cancer. Please watch the video, it could save your life or the life of someone you know.

Okay, I confess -- I really hated this fabric until I saw what you did with it. Know I need to make one for DD!!! I love the fringe!!!

Great job on all the other outfits. Sophie is a real cutie too!

Hi Everybody!
So...I finally tried to make something (rather than embellishing ready made clothing). I tried a twirly skirt and even put a JoJo ruffle (a la Lisa) on it...I am going to add more...just haven't quite finished yet. I know it's not as twirly as some, but what do you think??
Thanks!
Kay
