Hi Everybody!
So...I finally tried to make something (rather than embellishing ready made clothing). I tried a twirly skirt and even put a JoJo ruffle (a la Lisa) on it...I am going to add more...just haven't quite finished yet. I know it's not as twirly as some, but what do you think??
Thanks!
Kay

Hi. Been too busy to post much lately.

Wanted to ask why we lost our boys folder in the disbotique photobucket. All my boy shirt images are gone.

It was a lot easier to find boy outfits with a boy file.

:confused3

I reorganized the folders to make it easier for everyone. It was too much of a pain to flip through 50 pages to find the one outfit you were looking for. For the boys specifically I moved all the pictures to merge with the girls. It was hard to separate out the boys outfits since almost 50% of the pictures also had a girl (usually sister) in the picture with them. Since many of the outfits can be adapted to boy or girl I just merged them. But I promise that all the pictures are still there. Just look under the specific character. Most of the boys stuff was either mickey or pixar in nature. I bust my hump to keep that site up and to make everyone happy. I hope that it's still works for you.

I went to JoAnn's last night to buy some batting for the rag quilt I have on my to-do list. They had 3 different types that I found: Lo-Loft, Hi-Loft, and I can't remember the 3rd. That's helpful. It sounded like it was higher than Hi-Loft. Something like Extra-Loft? Anyway, I wasn't sure which one to buy, so I went with Hi-Loft. Is this a good choice? There was no Middle-Loft. When in doubt, I like to go with the middle option. Since one was Lo, one Hi, and the third Extra, I decided on Hi because it sounded like the middle option. Did I do good or should I return it for something else?

Chantell

Chatell,

If I am working on something with fleece then I use a low loft or no batting... thinner fabrics I use the hi-loft...

Only 30 minutes more to get guesses in!!!

Kristina

Sorry, I can't remember where I got smiles around the world at. Someone here told me to go to a website, (a quilters site maybe?) there were several fabric stores listed, and I went through all of them and found it. Maybe I can go look through all my paypal transactions and find it. I think I used pay pal for it anyway. I bought a bunch of fabric in one week a couple of months ago...

I did a google search for Little Einstein Shirt and I got Zazzle.com - I think it was...you can also get one on the disney shopping website.

The shipping is immediate from the Zazzle site - and it is the exact same place that Disney uses...but Disney is a long shipping delay.

I got a June shirt and an Annie shirt. I got a toddler size and I was able to get a little pink trim on the one and a little blue on the other.

I think they will be adorable. I should have put Makayla's name on them, but I have this thing about names on shirts...afraid some pervert will call her name and she will think they know her...I know I am an old fashioned nut, but I can't help it.

Makayla also loves the Einsteins and we are dining with them, so I hope I get the shirt in time...making a skirt or something to go with them....

Oh, I certainly appreciate all you do with it! I just can't find my pics. (I tried looking under Mickey/blue but didn't find them)

Robin, I just did a quick search found them in: mickey minnie and dots>tshirts and tops

I happen to look last night at the photo album and couldn't believe all you had done with it! It has got to be so hard to keep up with. I did enjoy the boys for a quick simple look, but glad they are intertwined now since I found so many more good ideas on girl shirts that could go either way.

Thanks pixiedust in AK for keeping up with it! Have you been sewing lately? I hadn't seen too many new pictures ?

No Way!!!! How cool is that!! Thanks so much!!! You just made my day.

I will PM you. Thanks Aimee.

Robin - sorry the organization is really hard. I put them under tops. My mind was fried trying to decide how to group together 800 original outfits into categories. Sometimes I just get lost! :headache: If I lost any somehow just let me know and I'll add them back.

Jessica- no sewing for me lately. DH is gone with the army, I've had morning sickness something fierce, and have three kids to chase alone. TO say the least not much is getting done around here :rotfl2: I am actually trying to get three halloween costumes done. I've been working on the first one for about three weeks, so I may get them done by Christmas :sad2: Oh well. DD wants to be bumbles - the abominable snowman from rudolph. There is no pattern out there for that so I'm inventing things. Then ds5 is a tiger (simple enough if I ever get started) and the kids decided ds1 needs to be a skunk since he stinks all the time . I have a pattern for that but I'm kind of afraid of it. Hopefully I get motivated soon!

Thank you everyone for the comments on the photo site. I hope it makes some sense. And if anyone else has organizational ideas please let me know!!!!

That's super cute!!! I want to make one of those ruffle thingys but my serger book says that I need a rolled hemming plate(?) that I don't have :sad2:
