Ok, these pics aren't too bad considering I had to use my camera instead of dh's, a little light maybe, but oh well... I appliqued Cinderella on this fabric before putting it together to make a peasant top for dd6. I embroidered the face after watching those needlenthread.com video tutorials several times and practicing even more times. I still need lots of practice, but it's not too bad and dd6 loves it! I just hope I can get the peasant top put together without any problems!

WOW! This is cool! I wish I were brave enough to attempt this. I'm working up my nerve, just not quite there yet!

I keep thinking how much easier it would be for me to use fabric markers for the face (eyes, lips, nose), and then I remind myself that it is probably cheating, and I shouldn't settle for the easy way out. When I work up the nerve, I'll give it a go.

You did a great job here!

Here's what my daughter will be wearing to the princess breakfast. I added the rick rack to the collar but feel it needs something more? Any ideas? I am making similar outfits for my DNieces in Ariel and Snow White. They will be wearing shorts under them and with the shirt before the breakfast. I don;t think they will want to go on rides with them on??

Hi Everybody!
th_labordayschool021.jpg
I LOVE it!!

I reorganized the folders to make it easier for everyone. It was too much of a pain to flip through 50 pages to find the one outfit you were looking for. For the boys specifically I moved all the pictures to merge with the girls. It was hard to separate out the boys outfits since almost 50% of the pictures also had a girl (usually sister) in the picture with them. Since many of the outfits can be adapted to boy or girl I just merged them. But I promise that all the pictures are still there. Just look under the specific character. Most of the boys stuff was either mickey or pixar in nature. I bust my hump to keep that site up and to make everyone happy. I hope that it's still works for you.
Thank you so much for keeping those pictures organized. There are so many categories now!

YOU DID SO GREAT!!! Here are those dancing bananas I promised you!   Although, I'm a little miffed that you didn't e-mail them to me before posting them on the board. :snooty:

First off, the Ninja Turtle in the background cracked me up. Second, I just love that skirt and the rick-rack on the shirt was a great idea. I just bought Tessa one of those shirts for $3.99 and it's so pretty! Would you want to add rick-rack or a little tulle to the bottom of the shirt? I think it looks fine as-is, though.

Of course they will want to wear those beautiful skirts on the rides!! I think you'll have a hard time getting them to take them off!

Hey Ladies,

I would not often post things of this nature, but feel this is something really worth your time. It's a newscast about another form of breast cancer that is not detected with a mammogram and many women have hardening of the breast tissue and play it off (there is no lump w/ this cancer) and others are treated for bug bites..... It is not long but it could save yours or a loved ones life.....)

Blessings,
I just received this from a friend. I'm glad she passed it on to me, as I was unfamiliar with this type of breast cancer. Please watch the video, it could save your life or the life of someone you know.

Thank you, Lexeca!! I heard about this form of breast cancer for the first time today, but didn't know what it was. Thanks for the link, very informative!

OK, so I have some fabric I want to cut princesses out of to apply to a shirt. I have no clue how to attach them other than to glue them on, and I dont really want to do that this time. The fabric store lady said to use wonder under....but of course they are out of it. Does walmart sell it usually? Is there something else I can use? I am too afraid to try to sew them on to the shirt without attaching them first, and even then I may not want to sew them anyways. She said wonder under basically would turn them into an iron on, is that right?

For some reason the tear away stablizier decided to tear away as I sewing so the letters are really jaunty!
I may need to hire you so I can have a few matchy tops too!! I'll never finish all of Little's outfits let alone add a few tops of my own. You're such a good mom.

My husband doesn't get it either. When my parents were sitting for the kids down here they took them to Weekie Wachie and DH was like, why are they going there? For the mermaids of course! Sheesh! Megan has an icon on my desktop so she can look at the mermaids whenever she wants.

Okay, I think I just spent 45 minutes watching Weeki Wachee youtube videos, checking out their websites, watching the comedian tryout to be the merman, now I want to go! I love history, so when they said it's a historical site, I say "Save our Tails!" I sure hope they win the court battle. I thought I grew up in a small town, (9 families) they have 9 residents!

Who doesn't GET mermaids??? Hello? They are MERMAIDS!!! and that 9 residents thing is a little tricky. The only reason they were made a city was a marketing ploy a LONG time ago, make them a city=put the park name on the maps. The mayor has always been the current manager of WW. and they haven't been doing all their paperwork. Not that it much matters they've taken away all the attraction except the mermaids and are having a hard time. I keep my fingers crossed for some excentric billionaire to swoop in and save the park. It's a shame what's happened to the place. once a month they have alumni shows w/ old mermaids- that's pretty cool. My mailing address is technically W.W. but the 9 citizens are pretty much the inhabitants of the bunk houses they have on property. But still- I LIVE where the mermaids are- how flippin' cool is that??? You guys wanna gtg let me know.

Thanks for not completely bashing my feable attempt at appliqueing. I will finish the top soon. I have way too many projects and way too little time!!

I think the top looks fine as is. If you wanted to add something, how about rick rack around the arms, too?

I love the skirt. Every time my DDs see one of these, they want me to make one. I have too much to do already!

Chantell

Traci - where did you get your Cindy bows? I'm looking for a set for DD to wear with the same dress!!

I must say that I love seeing all the beautiful creations, but it is some much more special to actually see the pictures from "The World"!

Karrierock - are those custom jewels I see around your neck?! Very cute, and I love your smiles around the world skirt - I might have to CASE!! DD has this outfit - I'd match!!

Where do you find this fabric! I would love to have some for a trip to Epcot! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

We would have been practically neighbors. I used to jog the path along there when I was training for a marathon. This area is booming with real estate. We love suburbia so we LOVE it here. The schools are great and everything you need is right here. It's a good thing there are a ton of restaurants here because I don't cook. I rarely go north of College Blvd.

The schools there are fabulous! I taught in Blue Valley (at Harmony Middle on 143rd and Switzer) and I am so sorry my little ones won't be in school there. I truly don't think you can top them for the education. Enjoy OP, we sure do miss it!

I like the product "Heat n Bond Lite" for appliques it is similar to the wonder under but has a paper backing that after you cut out your applique pieces you just peel off the paper and put into place and iron the piece on. Then do your satin stitches around it. You can get it BTY at Joann's and Hancock. Don't forget to put a stablizer under the applique though which you can also get BTY at Joann's. Nana

HOW CUTE!!! I am working up the nerve for a pettiskirt for DD but $$ is WAY tight right now so I will have to wait!

Is she going to be wearing the ninja turtle costume or the Princess Aurora shirt & skirt? :rotfl2: Sorry, I couldn't resist!! If it were me, I'd add ribbon around the hem and make it ruffle. If you need help with how to do that, just PM me. It's very easy and I think it would look great! Great job on that skirt!

OMG, I wasn't sure what a pettiskirt even was, but now I remember and I HAVE to have one for dd2!!!!! Super cute!

I also want to say thanks for the comments about my Cinderella. I'm nowhere near as good as some of you, but I love doing it and the girls love it too and that's all I need. :)

Wow great outfits everyone! I haven't posted in a while but I have been reading and admiring all your new creations!

I have been busy scrapbooking (DH  bought me a Cricut) and shopping and cleaning and what not.

So today I picked up some Overalls from Wally world. DD seems to like the decorated overalls a lot. I hope to work on them soon. I have a pile of Halloween fabric waiting. I almost bought more :lmao: today! But I resisted and put it back. I may make a peasant shirt to go under the overalls for DD. What do you think? I also picked up a cute long sleeve Little Einsteins shirt for DS at Target. I am going to find a coordinating flannel and maybe add it to the cuffs of some jeans. Luckily it won't be cool enough to wear it hear until say oh November so I have some time to get to those.

All the mermaid talk cracks me up. I have read about them in the paper and I have always thought it would be neat to go.

Pixie Dust in AK Thanks for keeping all the photos organized!:flower3: :flower3: :flower3: (three flower minimum)
It is a wonderful place to see everything.

Welcome to our new ladies! Georgia Aristocrat I read your Trip Report Loved IT! Your Twirl skirt is adorable. I love the fabrics you chose.

I'm in the process of tying on all of the tule pieces to make a skirt for my dd's pirate halloween skirt. Do I sew around the top to keep the "knots" from coming loose? 25 down and 75 more to knot! (Should be about 100 yds - one fluffy pirate!):scared1:
