Too funny! DW saw these at Waldemort tonight and said "Perfect"!

So that is what we went with!

DD is asleep, so I will have to have her model this later!

Fantastic as usual!! Do you pick out the fabrics as well, or is that your wife's doing??

I think your DW's suggestion is perfect. Once again you did a great job for your Princess.

Thank You!

You however are the MASTER!:worship:

I have shown DW some of the things that you have done. We are both awestruck!

Oh... to only be able to applique like you one day!

Perhaps, with practice, for my grandchildren!;)

We both do!

Long, long, long, ago, I managed a paint and wallpaper store. I did this for about 15 years. I have become quite good at color matching and coordinating fabric.:goodvibes

Ah yes.... black piping, my nemesis! I can't tell you how frustrated I was when I began.

Once I did some research and found out that the zipper foot is the best way to sew it in, I did fine.

I don't know why I have to add a level of difficulty to everything I do?:confused3

I keep telling myself KISS! Keep it simple stupid!

For some reason I don't listen to myself very well!:rolleyes1

Ah-ha!!! I KNEW there had to be logical reason for the color co-ordination ability!! Hmmmmm.... maybe I need to go and manage a paint and wall paper store so I can develope that talent too!

You both do a wonderful job. Thanks for sharing your creations with us.

I need a little help with a circle skirt.

I have all the peices cut, the top will be a cotton, middle is tulle and bottom is cotton again. Do I gather the tulle before I sew it in, or just sew it onto the waistband like the others?

THanks!

Oh the bottom peice is longer than the tulle to keep the ichies away

Oh one more question.

I am making little pirate outfits for my pirate princesses for the unknown trip to DL.

Anyway I am looking for the black fabric with small skulls and some black and white striped fabric. I can't find either at JoAnns. Where else do I look? Any online options?

Perfect choice! The flowers echo the B&W print plus pull in the yellow from that print. It sounds like you and DW have a good partnership in designing. :)

Thank You!

Oh my, if you'd seen my struggles with applique today you'd know I'm no master. :rotfl2: Let me just say I have at least 3 seam rippers so I'm never too far from one when I need it. :rolleyes1 Thankfully, I didn't do anything stupid... like ripping the tshirt along with cutting the threads (and yes I have done that this week, too :headache:).

I think this is adorable! Of course, I like everything you do.

DH is usually pretty good about helping me with color combos when I need it. He works in in video so he has a pretty good eye.

Thank you everyone for the complements! I really do appreaciate them!

Someone had asked me why I put the bow on Minnie that way?

Well, DD knew that this was the dress for dinner at Chef Mickey's, so she said that she wanted it to look more like Mickey!
Who am I to argue with that logic!:rotfl:

Am I allowed to give you the link to a website??? I just ordered a bunch of fabric from here. Take a look at this:

I have at least 4 seam rippers! A SUPER DUPER sized one! I have to be careful with that one!:scared1: One that I rounded the point off, so I won't rip through something that I shouldn't, and 2 small sharp ones for seam ripping!

I have cut through things too while trying to do a more complicated applique this week. Sadly, that thing is now in the TRASH! KISS! (keep it simple stupid!) I have to remember this montra!

What were you doing...watching a horror movie :scared1: while sewing???? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I just crack myself up. BTW Lisa....if you have posted 1900 times, why does your thing still say you are a Mousketeer and not a Dis Veteran??? Just wondering why it didnt automatically switch :confused3

This is the fabric I am looking for, the skulls

http://s204.photobucket.com/albums/...ies outfits/?action=view&current=IMG_1599.jpg

Does anyone know what it is called?

I have that fabric. I bought it at Joanns on July 4th. I don't have much left, though. And the part I do doesn't have much wording on it. One piece says An Original Screen (the rest is cut off). Another piece says (beginning cut off) s 2006 Exclusively at Joann Fabrics. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Did you try Joanns online?
