That shouldn't be an issue. Just got off the Dream yesterday. They don't even put the lock on the bands of 3 year old's (choking hazard) and tell you to take it off when they aren't in the club. My 9 year old pried his band off with the lock on it. I don't see why you couldn't just cut the lock off when he isn't in the club.
