My DD's bday is March 3. We are cruising March 13th. Could I still have the cruise line do something?

Thanks!!:D

Absolutely! Just have it noted on your reservation that you will be celebrating a birthday (pick which night you want to do it) and the servers will bring your daughter a small cake at dinner and sing to her. :D

Does anyone know if an age cap exists relative to birthday celebrations on the ship? We are planning a Feb '04 trip with my brother-in-law who is 44 and developmentally disabled. BIL is very much like a child in many ways and a celebration of this nature would truly make his trip magical!

PiperG-

I am positive that your brother-in-law isn't too old to have a celebration cake and song :D We got one on our cruise for our honeymoon and it was delicious. It was white cake with a strawberry jam filling. It also had a nifty Mickey Mouse decoration on it. We took it "to go" and ate it the next day in our room for an afternoon snack. You can get free milks from room service to go with it if you decide to do that. That is what we did :D

On our cruise they were giving away cakes left and right on the last night of the cruise. They were actually having people celebrate their anniversaries and birthdays when they were months away. It was fun watching nearby tables think up a celebration for their cake. I think that they must have had a bunch of extra cakes that they wanted to unload :)

That is great to know. My BIL will love it!

One more reason for me to be sad we are missing cruising together by one week :( My DS's birthday is also March 3! He was born in 97. He shares his birthdate with my sister and my grandma :D (and none of these births were induced, lol). We have plans to be at WDW for the 3rd next year so he can celebrate turning 6 with the mouse. The cruise in 2004 will be for us ;)

OK, strawberryblonde, this is turning freaky:D ! My DD was also born is '97!!!! Come on, can come a week earlier!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

PiperG,
Let your head server know about your BIL's birthday and also his special situation, and I know that they will make sure that is celebration is special. He will get a cake, singing, and even a special pin...I'm sure he will really enjoy it!

Spooky :)

My plans were to book for your week before I realized leapyear pushed the 20th to a Sat. instead of a Friday. I thought spending our 10th ann. on Castaway Cay and then dining at Palo afterwards would be so romantic. Getting off the ship after a so-so breakfast doesn't sound near as exciting :( so I decided to begin our cruise on the 20th instead of ending it. That does mean I will have the ressie scramble and abit of stress on our day but by dinner it should be great. I don't think we can do Palos that first night, don't know if the kids would be comfortable enough in the clubs by then. Lots of time to plan, lol! It is too bad that our freshly turned 7 year olds will not meet :(, so close!
