I PMd you. :flower3: It looks as though CL in October is filling up but not for my dates, yet. I'm going to have to be on that phone right at 7 am. Wonder if my chances are better by trying to book online? Guess I can do both and see which gets me through the quickest.

I agree, I think GFV will be next to impossible after the 11 month mark, very similar to the GCV. I bet they'll do a CL too. The GF screams CL.

Did you go on a wait list for BCV for August?

I wonder how many CL rooms are at Jambo House. I've read it's very limited. I wonder why DVC hasn't converted more rooms at Jambo to CL rooms. They don't have to be on the same floor as the lounge.

GFV is going to book up fast. I read that in addition to the new building, some of the existing rooms will be converted to DVC. I would LOVE to see some CL rooms in the Sugarloaf building and main building transformed into DVC villas. I'm sure it's going to be a ton of points per night.

Well, I changed our reservation AGAIN! Originally, we were set to be at WDW from Saturday 8/11-Saturday 8/25. Because of another commitment, we can't travel on 8/11. So, I knocked off a few days and changed our dates to Tuesday 8/14-Saturday 8/25, with 1 night at AoA, 3 nights at AKV, and 7 nights at BLT. As my mom and I were working on our ADR list and my dad and uncle's 60th surprise dinner at WDW, we decided to go to Islands of Adventure to see Harry Potter. Well, I talked my mom into it. My older nephew and I are Potter fans. And both boys LOVE superheros.

Originally, I was set to book 2 rooms at Portofino Bay Resort. There was NO WAY I was cramming 3 adults and 2 kids into one standard room. One bathroom just wasn't going to work. I priced it out and, for just one night with one day tickest to IoA, it would have been well over a grand. We had points, since we cancelled those 4 nights at AKV, and we're renting a car. So, we decided to opt for larger accomodations, use points not cash, and add days. Sure, we could have fit it into our original plans, but I don't like taking days away from WDW.

So, our new plan is: 3 nights at BCV, 3 nights at AKV, and 7 nights at BLT. Let's see how long before I make a change. :lmao:

There are 10 I believe comprised of 5 Studios and 5 one bedrooms. :faint:

I bet it seels out fast. Even faster than GCV. Any rumors as to how many villas there will be?

:lmao: You are so funny! Your trip sounds amazing. Still long. DH wants to see HP too and will bribe Gabby to go. I can't wait to hear how you like it. Any more on your dad's celebration?

:faint: Over $1,000 for a night and tickets? Smart move sistah! :thumbsup2

MTE. ;) If you can swing the changes then I say go for it.

Oh DVC definitely needs to increase their CL inventory.

I've read a little over 140 villas at GFV. I can't wait to see the layout and decor.

I'll definitely post lots of IoA photos on FB.

I need to talk to the Disney party planner about my dad and uncle's celebration. We're still trying to figure out where the birthday dinner will happen.

I'd rather use the points than drop that money on a room. Tickets for 1 day will run about $450. I'd rather use the money that we'll save on a nice lunch at Universal and shopping.

As of right now, I'm really happy with the resort configuration. 3 nights in the Epcot resort area, 3 nights of AKV with a savanna view, and 7 nights walking distance from the MK. :cloud9:

Now you're retailing me into a triple split. I wouldn't mind SSR/AKV/AKV CL. I think doing CL first would lead to inevitable let down. I realize how ridiculously spoiled that sounds.

I'd always choose to use points than drop that kind of money on a room too. $450 is a lot especially for a standard room. How far is Universal from WDW?

Your resort plans are amazing. :cloud9: You get a little of what you like and a lot of what you love. It's perfect. :thumbsup2

I'm sure the GFV will be gorgeous.

I agree about placing CL at the end. A little pampering before going home is always good.

Are you sure you want to give up your THV reservation?

Portofino Bay is pricey. And it's $450 for 5 one day Islands of Adventure tickets. It's already going to be an expensive outing to see Potter.
I'm not sure how far. I need to research.

I love that I can watch Illuminations and stroll back to the room. Same with Wishes. :cloud9: And I'm excited about trying SAB.

Check your FB and get ready to pee a little. I did. :lmao:

I'm not sure about anything on this trip. I'm torn between doing a little SSR a little THV and a little AKV. We've got 11 nights.

SAB looks like a total blast and no need for a water park it would seem. :thumbsup2

That is HILARIOUS! LOVE IT!

A little of each might make for fun trip. I say do it. You'l get a little of everything.

Have you tried Disney Quest?

Stop enabling me. :rotfl2:

The kids did Disney Quest in 2007. They said it was okay but doubtful they'll do it again. Have you been there?

Now I want to add a night and do 4/4/4. But I can't! I mean I could.......:rolleyes1

DO IT! 4/4/4 just seems so right! You'll get a little SSR, a little THV, and a little AKV. How perfect!

I haven't been to Disney Quest. I need to research.

Early Spring in So Cal can be maddening. Layers. And extra pairs of socks.

That's the thing I hate wearing closed in shoes. I am a Birkenstock wearing hippie.:hippie: I am hoping that the latest weather forecast sticks.

Me too but flip flops, not Birks anymore. Hate wet soggy feet. :scared:

Me too. I am not a shoe person so I don't own very many pairs of closed in type walking rain shoes. I hate the thought of having to wear my hiking boots.

It's a big arcade basically. Total skip.

But what if CL comes through for like only a night? I can't do 3/3/3/3.

Definitely skipping that! And with SAB and the pools at AKV and BLT, I don't think a water park will be necessary.

Count CL in with your AKV days. A triple split will give you the opportunity to experience all three resorts. :rolleyes1

Hard Rock and RPH are less. And deals will not come out for probably another month. Just sayin'

The FOTL pass and walking to the parks is pretty priceless. BUT if you are only going for one day, not really worth the move.

I'll be sad if you give up THV I have to admit! It's so hard to decide but moving 3 times really will eat up some time so I'd just factor that in. After we did it in 2010 I swore never again. That was a 3/5/3 trip. Of course we will see if I can actually stick to that. :rotfl:
