Yay!!! You'll be able to make your DVC reservation before you know it.
Are you doing 1 week at SSR and 1 week in a THV?

I truly don't know yet. Michael wants a 2 br at SSR for sure for a week which is great. As of now the other options I am considering are:
- THV
- BWV 2 br
- GV at OKW with Jenna depending on their dates
- Gabby is pining for AKV again
I think I will kick myself if we skip the THV. I am leaning towards that the 2nd half as we tend to relax more after the first 5 days or so.
The BWV are close to Epcot so that would work for F&W but also very hard to get during that time or so I have read.

THV would be great for the 2nd half. Plus, you get a 3rd bedroom for the same points as a 2 br at SSR.
AKV is a great choice too. A 2 br in Kidani has 3 bathrooms, which makes getting ready super easy.
A GV at OKW sounds just perfect.
Are you going to book 1 week SSR and 1 week THV then switch at the 7 month mark?
Oh, what are your October 2012 dates? Since we're buying APs again in August 2012, I may have to just visit for F & W and MNSSHP. I refuse to do that this year as our APs expire August 22nd and I don't want to renew this year.
I am for sure booking the THV at 11 months. They are almost impossible to get after that.I can always change if need be but my heart is saying SSR and THV.

We loved AKV but we've stayed there, same with OKW. I am really wanting to try different DVC but I also don't like to mess with a good thing and those are known entities. BWV appeal because of F&W location.
Our October 2012 dates are the 14-26. That way we only have to spend the points for one weekend. We also will overlap with Kirsteen and Jenna. It would be a blast if you could swing it.

I'm with you on not messing with a good thing. That's exactly my rationale for staying at BLT again.
BCV & BWV have such a great location, especially during F&W.
I'm sure the right choice will come to you by the 7 month mark!
I may be able to do those dates in October. A quick weekend trip for F & W.![]()
I just know we'll love the THV especially with DH cooking fabulous meals and we'll have all that room. New new SSR pool will be finished by then too. We are planning on some golf and spa time too which means we'll be at SSR anyway.
I am afraid to try being on the Monorail line- I may never go back. Tell me what you love about BLT.
I know BCV will be impossible and the points for BWV are lower. That clown scares the piss out of me though.![]()
October is far but that would be so much fun. And think, we could do the spa too.![]()
The clown scares me too!![]()
IBLT. I love being able to walk to the MK. It's so easy to stay late and see the parades and Wishes. If we stay until park closing, we don't have to wait for a bus/monorail/boat to get back to the room. It's just a short walk away. I love being able to take the sky bridge over to the Contemporary for shopping, the arcade, restaurants, or drink.
BLT is a short monorail/boat ride away from the GF, Poly, and WL, which opens up dining/entertainment/shopping options. I love that 1 bedroom villas sleep 5 and have 2 full bathrooms and 2 bedroom villas have 3 bathrooms. The Bay Lake view is so relaxing. We watched the Electrical Water Pageant almost every night.
Ithe Epcot resort area, too. I just fell in love with the YC in November. We went over to visit BWV and checked out their villas and were able to see a 2 bedroom villa at BCV as well. I find BWV and BCV smaller than BLT. In August, we went to SSR to see the AKV models and loved them. My grandmother and aunt stayed at SSR in a studio. Their room was beautiful.
Are you considering BLT? MK view points are high, but it is NOT worth it at all. We spent one night in a MK view studio in August and were not really impressed. I prefer to have a view of the lake vs. the parking lot. If you decide to try BLT, book standard or lake view. You and your family will LOVE it. It would be a totally different experience than SSR or AKV.
Oh a spa Dismeet sounds wonderful! Pedis and cocktails.![]()
I suppose we wouldn't see ourselves slide down but still.
Okay, being able to walk back after a long sounds amazing. I hate hate hate the bus ride back after playing all day.
The 1 brs sleep 5?![]()
I think all of the DVC have something special, I really do.![]()
I wasn't really considering BLT but now I am.I have seen pics of the MK views and having to look over a parking lot is still looking at a parking lot imho.
Lake view would be the way to go. Think it would be hard to score a 1 br in October? I am not sure though we could move from a 2 br to one bedroom without pain.
Cocktails and pedis sound fabulous!

Yes, the 1 bedrooms at BLT sleep 5. There's the king bed in the master and the sleeper sofa and sleeper chair. 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is spacious.
My DVC guide told me that most of the rooms at BLT are lake view, so it's easier to book that. Standard view, which is lower points, is hard to book at 7 months. I've heard the same for MK view, but I was able to score a MK view for one night 2 weeks before our trip. It was NOT worth the points. Watching Wishes from the balcony was nice, but you can do that at Top of the World Lounge. The lake view is super relaxing.
I don't think a 2 br at SSR to a 1 br at BLT would be a hard move. You would still have 2 bathrooms. Plus, you'd have an awesome location.
I'm taking lots of BLT pics for you this summer.![]()
I want in on a spa and pedi DIS meet during F&W!
I wish!!!!!!!!
Man, we were just checking our vacation days and seriously, with what is planned I have nothing left until Dec of 2011! But I can dream about food and wine in 2012, right?
Much as I love the idea of the BW during F&W, I do agree about the clown and the THV, with all that SPACE would be hard to give up.
Tough call but the great thing is that you'll have it booked, if you decide to change at 7 months, and can, then it's meant to be and if not, you have something really lovely.
That picture with everyone at the bus stop cracks me up. They look SO thrilled!

Just dropping by to say hi.![]()
Hi there!! I am back!!
Jenny I know you are a view junkie so I wanted to share this.

Having 2 bathrooms is paramount for us.
I am so drawn to 2 brs though because I love keeping the living space as living space; not having to tip-toe in the morning while making my coffee. Joshua and I are morning people so for him to be able to meander out and watch some tv while waking up is such a bonus.
I have yet to see an MK view that would be worth the extra points. The Top of the World lounge sounds neat!
That would be SO great, thank you. The location of BLT cannot be beat, truly. MK is my favorite park.
It's 596 days away, you might be able to swing it. That would be the best DIS meet ever!!!
It all start with a little flicker of a little dream.
Space has become a huge vacation issue with me over the last few years. I don't like to be all on top of each other, living out of suitcases.I totally unpack.
They look ridiculous. Especially after 11 days, DH was ready to go.
I need trip details please!!!
I love the FB pics but it's not enough.
Oooo, high floor. Love it!
Are you doing a trip-report?
Yes, I am. I have one I have been doing. The little link is in my signature.
I will check for a post trippie update.
