I hope she gets to work from home, that sounds like a blessing disguise. :goodvibes

Michael really is a great guy and for the most part goes along with my hairbrained plans. Think Desi and Lucy minus the substance abuse.

That was my thought about Dina.

That sounds like Scotty and I. He makes me work for it though.

Anything fun planned for this Halloween weekend? What are the kids dressing as?

No big plans thankfully Scotty is working. After the paycheck being short 4 days this time because of the plant shutting down we really need the money.

Well, as you know my kids are all in high school now so they are kind of unique in how they dress up. Kacy my oldest went to school as a zombie Marilyn Monroe, Kody my 16 year old went as a stoner, she went so far as to write on her hand yes on 19 referring to the legalization of marijuana proposition, and Loren went as a zombie. Kacy did everyones make up and she straightened Loren's hair, his hair is getting really long.

How about you? Any fun plans for the weekend? What are kids dressing up as?

That stinks! I am so sorry. :goodvibes

I dressed all through high school and am dressed today at work.

:lmao: What great costumes!!!! Love the stoner one! :hippie: I would love to see a photo.

Gabby (13) nerd with her BFF; Chloe (11) Eskimo complete with stuffed Walrus; Joshua (9) dead Real soccer player.

Tonight Gab is going to her friend's house. She was invited to a party but doesn't really want to go. :confused3

Michael and I are taking Joshua, Chloe, and a few of their friends to the Dinosaur Park for a spook alley/tour/trick or treating thing tonight. It's really cold out though so I hope their friends bring coats and gloves.

Tomorrow night we are going to my in-laws to trick or treat. They live in this great neighbor hood and it's tradition to go there. Each kid is bringing a friend. We'll do pizza first.

Sunday they have religious school and I am not teaching so I am debating allowing them to miss. I would give anything to sleep in just one morning this weekend. I cannot think of the last time I slept past 6:30 am.

They put together their own costumes and I was amazed they took the initiative to actually put them together. Kody chose to wear an old pair of flared jeans, her brothers Ramones t-shirt(he wouldn't lend her his John Lennon one), and a jacket that my mom had ordered for Loren that was too small for some rock group. She didn't brush her hair and Kacy gave some serious eye baggage. I had to laugh. I wish I had of taken pictures this morning. I do have a picture of Loren's hair straightened.

I had not realized quite how long his hair had become because it is wavy. I am bordering on telling him to get it cut, but I am trying to let him be a little independent,it's hard.

It sounds like you have a full weekend planned. I think I would be tempted to take just the one day to relax.

I love his hair! I think he looks terrific! My philosophy is that kids are going to individuate one way or another. Hair is not a battle I choose to fight. It's actually mundane and a great way for them to express themselves. :goodvibes Brava mama!

The kids had a blast last night at the Dinosaur Park. They had about 20 ToT stations, a gift wheel, slime making station, pics with Cone Wars peeps, and then obviously Dino fun. Well worth the $5 per kid.

Just cleaning and catching up on chores before tonight. DH wants me to make that chicken chili again sice he ony got one bowl last time.

I am in a Halloweenie pirate kinda mood. Argh!

:thumbsup2 I will! I had everything but an onion but I am going next week for sure. You know life is good when you get to try a new store for spices. :lmao:

They have these soup packets and I bought them for the first time this last trip. Scotty and I really enjoyed the lentil soup but the kids were meh on it. Last night I tried the noodle and vegetable packet, boy was it good. Be ready for a great food department.

:hyper: I cannot wait!

I briefly mentioned WDW in October 2012 to DH, said the words F&W Festival, and he was sold. However, he thought I meant instead of Dec 2011 not in addition to. I felt like I won the lottery for a fleeting moment. He said and I quote: no way can we do WDW 2x in a year. Too much money with 2 bat mitzvahs etc..I know he's right but I haven't given up completely.

:thanks: It's not like if we did Disneyland for a few days it would be a horrible tragedy but I really want to do F&W but the only way is to cancel next December which I simply cannot imagine doing.

The funny thing is that 3 day park hoppers for Disneyland don't cost much less than 5 day hoppers. I think he needs time to think it through. Maybe I will make him a spreadsheet of sorts.

I know I was amazed to see how little money difference it is.

I hate to break it to you but the best fuzzy disney math is based on real calculator math! :lmao:

It's a stretch but I am confident you'll be an AP holder.

Funny, just catching up on the TJ versus WM conversation and I've never remotely even considered them in the same category. WM is great for lots of things, as is TJ but with the exception of wine, I don't buy the same things from either of them so don't see the direct comparison. For me..

TJ. Great for jarred sauces and certain frozen items, canned tuna (random I know)
WM. Great for wine, cloth napkins, general home decor and cheap wall art.

I wouldn't buy spices from either to be honest! Then again, I don't go to either all that much though I like them both.

Just wanted to share our Halloween pics. Utah celebrated on Saturday because *gasp* we can't observe a holiday on it's rightful day when it lands on Sunday. :rolleyes1

Cynthia, I like your WM/TJ comparison. Having never been to a WM, the only thing I could think of was TJ. We have a store here called Tai Pan which is amazing for decor and cheap wall art. WM sounds like a bunch of great stores put together.

Went shoe shopping for the kids.....$250 later. :faint:

So cute!!

I am going to send you friend request okay?

I think of WM as like Pier One with wine :) And better wall art (though I like the candles from P1 better). LOL! TJ to me is just a specialty grocery store.

Cute pics! There was an article here about the whole moving Halloween to Saturday movement. That's just wrong!

:goodvibes Perfect. And just so ya know, I keep all talk of the DIS off my FB but I have found that many of us do.

Ahhhh, got it now. I love Pier One.

It is total BS. I told the kids I would take them around the neighborhood tonight. They will basically get candy from the other kids' bowls as they won't be expecting us. :rotfl2:
