Kidani Standard View Grand Villa ??

I was hoping to get the Savanna view for my first visit, but it is not available. Can anyone tell me if the Standard view is going to be worth all the points?? (crossing my fingers)

I have never stayed in the GV at Kidani but I did stay at the GV in Jambo! We did have a savannah view! Beautiful Room. Is Jambo available. Just want to make sure that you are aware...I believe that their is no QS location in Kidani..I think you have to walk to Jambo..ex..to get breakfast/coffee.(hopefully someone else can confirm)

Although our Kidani grand villa was savannah view, I can tell you that these grand villas are absolutely stunning. We loved the villa so much that we spent little time outside looking over the savannah anyway. The balconies on the grand villa are split into 3 different ones so it's not like you can all be out there together on the balcony enjoying the savannah anyway.

I have owned DVC for over 15 years and the grand villa at Kidani is my absolute favorite villa of any size at any resort.

There is no counter service at Kidani but it's not the end of the world. We ate in our villa quite a bit and never missed a counter service--it's not that far to get from lobby to lobby anyway--a 7 minute walk. I've had longer walks at the Boardwalk and SSR.

Personally, I wouldn't stay at AKV in anything but a savanna view villa. People always say there are viewing areas all over the place, but to me, I want to sit on my balcony watching from my villa. So I can hop out in the morning or evening and watch the animals in my pajamas and robe.

The savanna is the reason for AKV to me.

I appreciate how beautiful the Savannah view is and was looking forward to it, but because I had to revamp my reservations, I will have a Grand Villa but with only the Standard view and was hoping that someone had stayed there once and will tell me something positive.
