KFK's First TR!

Yeah, that chick freaks me out.

But if you want to talk about sweet....well, this here is my HERO!

evilqueencel.jpg

My hero is Jasmine over at Epcot. I feel safe when she's around. :rotfl:

Whoa!

Wait a minute!

Is this a joke?

You have got to be kidding me!

You have C & D as your avatar.

And you think this is Chip?

Your Fort Fiends membership is hereby revoked!

Please turn in your card and lodge hat at the front desk.

Tsk. Tsk!

1. Hippies for sure! But, luckily, I don't see any accordions.

2. I'm going to guess that the site in your photo is from the 1400 loop. On the outside. I think I see the bridge that goes over the canal there in the background.

3. Neat props on that Inferno-there used to be a place near WDW where you could buy that kind of stuff. Those Infernos are cool trailers!

4. Good job on the Camp Rock photo.

TCD

Where is your attention to detail TCD? :sad2:

You must've missed where I wrote that I wasn't able to get the shot of Chip patting DS on the head. Both munks were there, but I could only get a pic of Dale.

TsK, tsk.

I Edited to Add a notation for you in that post. We had a little trick for remembering which was which.

Fort Fiend Status:

Still in tact.

Ding! Ding! We have a winner folks! 1400 loop is correct. 1402 to be exact.

Nice job! You really do know the Fort don't you?

Sorry.

My bad.

I read your post as meaning that you didn't get the photo of Chip with your DS, and that you just got Chip.

My misteak (did I spell that wright Dave?)

I'm glad actually.

I didn't want your FF status revoked.

But it would have been.

And, yes, I do know my Fort.

That photo was a challenge.

But, I used the process of elimination.

Plus, I am working on a little project that I am going to get around to posting some time. It points out the differences in the utility locations on the loops. See, in 1400, the electric is way back there at the back of the site? And, there are no fake stumps? That helped me to limit the possible loops that this site could have been in.

You are continuing to do a great job on this report.

Keep up the good work.

After looking at the post regarding the chipmunks again....

MY bad.

Poor sentence construction.

I see how referring to one munk while posting a pic of another could be a little confusing. I had a pic of Chip, but his head was cut off so I didn't post it.

Glad we're still FrIENDS. :thumbsup2

BTW, nice process of elimination. Glad your attention to detail isn't fading.....

and thank you.

Very observant KFK. What, they didn't notice the sign?
hippie4.jpg

:lmao: I guess even hippies need to feel the magic every now and then.

I'm not sure what kind they were.

No accordians were in sight, but they could've been in the tent or VW van.

No drug paraphenalia (spelling?) was seen, but could've been in the above names places.

:confused3 We may never know.

Photobucket just sent me an e-mail saying I've only got 3G of bandwidth left....

I don't know what that is, but I've got a feeling I'm coming close to the limit.

May need to go Pro.

'Let's eat Grandma!' or, 'Let's eat, Grandma!' Punctuation saves lives!!!

:lmao:

Who knew! :rotfl2:

I'm glad no one was injured due to my poor sentence construction. :rotfl:

I'm thinking you're as warped as we are, welcome.

Probably more... ;)

Yep, another twisted sista! :goodvibes

Actually quite tasty with horseradish. Or fava beans.

That is soooo wrong...

They're better served with Cowboy beans. :lmao:

Right, from the classic movie "Silence of the Fiends".

"I ate Grandma with some cowboy beans and a nice kungaloosh".

:rotfl2:

Very good, Dave.

I am going to call it.

This is going to be the second best thread of 2010.

Nice job, KFK.

Oh, BTW, I went pro last year.

But my DD's told me that I should have just opened up a new photobucket account. All you need is a new email address, which you can create on yahoo or gmail or such.

So I'm 2 for 2 so far....

Awesome!

I'm just glad everyone is having a good time, 'cause I sure am!

I may just go ahead a go Pro. I don't think $25.00 per year will break the bank....but then again we did just get back from WDW.

2 photobucket accounts may be more than I can take. Can't keep up with all my passwords and usernames as it is.

Back to the TR....

After a nice leisurely day at the Fort, we've agreed that it's time to head over to Hollywood Studios. DS is chomping at the bit to get in on the Jedi Training Academy.

Of course the first order of business upon arrival is always TSM and pics with Woody and Buzz.
Since the photobucket account is reaching the max, I'm going to go light on the photos in this installment until I upgrade my acct.

DS7 has to take advantage of every photo op possible and this was no different. Since only Woody was going to be there this time, I'll just share these couple of pics I took while we were in line.

100_6652.jpg

Look at that wait time for TSM! Glad WE didn't have to wait that long! Hallelujah for the FP!

100_6659.jpg

I don't recall everything we did before lunch, but I do know it included Star Tours and meeting up w/the parents.

Here's DS striking an Idol pose.

100_6704.jpg

By this time we're good and hungry. The KFParent's have already eaten so we decide to split up for a little bit and meet back later.

Our HS lunch tradition is ALWAYS the Commissary.

100_6711.jpg

100_6713.jpg

Since DS really wanted to go to the Jedi Traning Academy......
we headed on over.

Only to discover that you now sign up in advance and all shows were full.

Bummer.

We promsie DS we'd come back another day and make sure he was signed up early. He was cool with that. :thumbsup2

I think after that we rode the Great Movie Ride and then headed to my personal fave at HS.

KFM and I are the only ones riding and since I didn't have a FP, I was just going to get in the single rider line.

Then a magical moment happened.....

The CM realized mom had a FP and I didn't and said, "Oh wait, I think I have an extra one right here!!!!"

She dug through a few of her things and sure enough, there it was!

We're feelin' the magic.

100_6719.jpg

100_6720.jpg

100_6722.jpg

Next I remember we rode the TOT. Very cool special effects.

I'm not going to give it away for any of you who may not have seen it yet.

I know I'm probably leaving a lot out, but i can't remember....

and you get the idea anyway.

The end of the day has come. We're tired. We're hot. We're ready for some Fort time.

After a little R & R at 912, we thought..."Hmmm.....why don't we go down to Bay Lake and watch the fireworks?"

Poor DS5 didn't make it, but DS7 had a blast playing in the sand watching the water pageant and the fireworks.

Perfect end to a really great day.

100_6766.jpg

I'll call it first - this is the cutest picture ever!

Thanks for such a great report!

:thumbsup2

I will have to agree with this.

First we have little bro conked out- covered with sand.

Then big bro monkeying around in the background.

And dad just sitting there taking it all in.

Perfect!

That is what it is all about!

Hi Kampfirekim!
Love your trip report. I do have a quick question I will be headed to the fort next Sept. YAY my son will be almost 5. When you did your days at the parks for instance Epcot do you remember what time you went to Epcot and what time you left? I am just trying to figure my days and how long my 5 year old will go before getting tired, so the melt down's won't begin. Thanks so much - I need to go finish reading your TR!

Just to tie up a couple of loose ends of day 5 before moving on......

The KFC's came to our place to dry off after the downpour at MK and the kids played and played. It was nice to spend the afternoon together.

But as all good things must....the visit had to come to an end due to Cuz's ADR's.

It was getting on into evening so we decided to hop on the GC and take the boys to Pioneer Hall playground for a bit before we settle in too much more.

DS5 didn't do well, so we brought him back and DH took DS7 back for a bit. :thumbsup2

I decided to go ahead and cook something and have it ready when they got back. Aren't I the good wife and mother here?

Here's what was on the Nathan's Famous Stovetop Griddle........

102_6388-2.jpg

Here we are on day 6.

The site was a bit messy after the weather on day 5 so DH was sweeping up a bit.

A DH who sweeps. Aren't I lucky?

102_6390-1.jpg

My parents and Bro haven't seen the MSEP yet soooo....we're all going to go to MK...again...., but not now.

Not before we enjoy a nice leisurly morning and early afternoon at the Fort.
Here's a couple of pics I snapped while enjoying my morning cuppa joe under the awning.

My idea of Fort Heaven.

102_6392-1.jpg

102_6393-1.jpg

102_6394-1.jpg

Notice what is hanging on the awning rail just behind DS.

Plaid Shorts.

MY plaid shorts.

I was wearing them on Day 5.

Since the plaid has become a hot topic among some circles on the Dis,

I thought I'd share. ;)

102_6395-1.jpg

102_6396-1.jpg

Love seeing my baby lovin' the Fort. DS7 was content to watch cartoons.:sad2:

102_6397-1.jpg

Now why not take the golf cart out for a morning spin?

I can't think of a reason why not...

so off we go.

Here's a random pic of the bus stop for 600 and 800 loops.

102_6400-1.jpg

Sorry, but I didn't take many pics this time, well, except for clotheslines.

I posted those on AuburnJen's clothesline thread.

Now the tumblies are rumbly, so we head back for a late breakfast.

Here's what KFK whipped up for the family....

102_6413.jpg

Seeing this pic reminded me that I need new plates. Those circa 1970's Correlle plates are a little dated.
kampfirekim,

Howdy neighbour! We were the Canadians with the honking truck camped beside you at the Fort. (Unfortunately our boys accidently set off the truck alarm and didn't know how to turn it off.....the parents were still walking back from the swimming pool!) You can just see our fifth wheel in these photos.

This was our first trip to Fort Wilderness.

I noticed your lime green mickey right away. We did get to meet your husband.

Did you see our clothesline?
