Glad to hear it.
Great TR! Thanks for sharing, and allowing us a glimpse to your vacay...
Thank you for following along. We still have a way to go so I hope you stick around for the rest.
I did the Keys to the World Tour a couple years ago and they were working on those floats back there. The guide took us behind the wall where the floats come out and showed us quite a few things you wouldn't normally think about. We saw the backside of SM. Even though it was a great tour it kinda ruined some of the magic.
I know what you mean. I am not the backstage type myself.
I prefer to keep the magic in tact.
Soooo... if they didn't want me to take a pic they shouldn't have led me back there.
Let that be a lesson to them.
I did it once and I'll do it again.
KFK-
I am proud of you!
Great job on the Splash photos!

And on outwitting the castmember.

Snickering Rabbit Room????
What the Fort?
You are a true Fort Fiend!
TCD
Thank you very much.
From disappointment to pride.
I'm doing my job.
They'd just better be glad I didn't have my high tech broom handle and duct tape handy. Imagine the pics I could have gotten then.
I'm actually surprised they didn't catch me on surveillance and hold me captive in the Snickering Rabbit Room to interrogate me while shining an ultrabright light in my face.
The CM was just that dramatic.
A true Fort Fiend you say? The highest of all Dis honors.
My heart is full.
KFK, I am loving your trip report! You are hilarious & your family is adorable. Thanks for giving me something to do on my "Tropical Storm" day!
Thanks a million. Very sweet of you to say.
I've always felt it was important to find humor during a Tropical Storm.
It helps take the edge off.
What I think is funny is the name of the room,...Snickering Rabbits Room....
and seriously do they expect you not to take pictures of the ride breaking down? if there's stuff they don't want the "world" to see,..then they should have a back-up plan for a ride breaking down...imo....I'm glad you snapped away....and quite cleverly, might I add---

lol!
Agreed.
That was exactly my point in taking the pics in the first place.
I do NOT like going backstage.
I paid to feel the magic.
Not to see dirty walls and smell garbage cans.
Serves them right.
Don't post alot here but this trip report is great. Also I must say you take great pictures of your 5yr old. We have a 7yr old with the same issues and it takes forever on a good pic. By the way did you buy that "lease" at WDW because I would love to get one like that if you could tell me where you picked it up.
Also thanks for the pic of the cabins as we'll be there on Sun yup I said it this Sun so stoked. Sorry if I'm rubbing it in. But have been to WDW in 5yrs and never at the fort. Looking forward to the fort fun.
I'm glad you chose to post here. Please jump in more often!
Thanks for the compliment on the pics. You're right, it's hard to get good pics of ASD kids sometimes. I also take a lot in hopes of one or two being pretty good.
In fact on the trip down, DS7 started to cry and when I asked what was wrong I found out his feeling were hurt because he thought I was taking lots of pics of his brother and only a few of him.

Of course, I explained and he felt better about it.
The leash did not come from WDW. It actually was the one I used for our Shelty.

. Enough said.
I'm wondering if the CM was acting on his own. There are about 60,000 CMs at WDW. We all have cell phones with cameras and we have access to a lot of the back stage areas. So wanting to see your pics seems kind of silly. Is there a black market for backstage photos? I wonder what he would have done if you hadn't shown him any pics? I can see it now, KFK walking out of the MK in Minnie Mouse handcuffs . Now that would be a picture.

DH sure didn't want me to go along, but I couldn't resist.
I'm such a stinker sometimes.
I thought it was weird, especially since I've seen similar stuff on the Travel Channel in HD.
I think this no photography policy must be something that they drill into the attractions castmembers.
We got stuck on Pirates not too long ago. We had just been seated in our boat and the ride shut down. After a couple of minutes, the lights came on, and they announced that we would have to get up and exit. There really wasn't anything much to see or photograph, but the castmembers were having hissy fits and were very vocal about not taking photographs. Of course, I took a few, but there really wasn't anything of interest. No snickering pirate room or anything. We got a free fastpass for our trouble.

I didn't really find my pics all that interesting until the CM made such a big deal out of it.
It was then I knew I was onto something BIG!
Made me stop and wonder.......
What REALLY goes in the Snickering Rabbit Room?
We may never know.
