KFK's First TR!

So am I to understand that the CM was petrified that you had discovered that the parade floats are actually stored backstage?? Oh heavens, say it ain't so!

But he wasn't worried that you had stumbled upon the biggest of all Disney secrets....the often rumored but never discovered, keep-it-out-of-the-public-eye-at-all-costs.....Snickering Rabbit Room??? :confused3

:rotfl:

It was worth the wait. Funny and smart too. Ok, I guess I believe you were at the Fort. If that's really you?

Yup to both.

:goodvibes

:rotfl:

I know! Crazy ain't it?

I would never have guessed that the parade floats were kept in warehouses backstage.

I thought they automagically appeared at parade time. :confused3

The Snickering Rabbit Room was quite a discovery for me. I felt kinda like Indiana Jones on an archeological dig.
My only regret is that I didn't open the door to see if there were, in fact, snickering rabbits in that room.

That poor CM was muttering something about "protecting the magic" as he walked away.

KFM and the cuz were howling w/laughter, pointing at me and saying "Busted"....

Until they saw the SRR and the warehouse pics that is.

As I said before, that CM was no match for KFK. *evil laugh* Muuuuuahahahahahaha!!!!!

:rotfl:

:scared1: You cropped my pic and turned it into a portrait!

If that's not me then I have an evil twin out there who stole my shirt and went to WDW with my family.
Besides, if I were trying to pull a fast one, I would have chosen a pic of a random Heidi Klum look alike and said THAT was me. :rotfl:

I may have to post a few more pics when I find them for supporting evidence just to tie up any loose ends and cinch up the case.

LOVING your TR :thumbsup2

And laughing out loud ....

I did the Keys to the World Tour a couple years ago and they were working on those floats back there. The guide took us behind the wall where the floats come out and showed us quite a few things you wouldn't normally think about. We saw the backside of SM. Even though it was a great tour it kinda ruined some of the magic.

KFK-

I am proud of you! :thumbsup2

Great job on the Splash photos! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

And on outwitting the castmember. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Snickering Rabbit Room????

What the Fort?:confused3

You are a true Fort Fiend!

KFK, I am loving your trip report! You are hilarious & your family is adorable. Thanks for giving me something to do on my "Tropical Storm" day!

What I think is funny is the name of the room,...Snickering Rabbits Room....

and seriously do they expect you not to take pictures of the ride breaking down? if there's stuff they don't want the "world" to see,..then they should have a back-up plan for a ride breaking down...imo....I'm glad you snapped away....and quite cleverly, might I add---:worship: lol!

Don't post alot here but this trip report is great. Also I must say you take great pictures of your 5yr old. We have a 7yr old with the same issues and it takes forever on a good pic. By the way did you buy that "lease" at WDW because I would love to get one like that if you could tell me where you picked it up.

Also thanks for the pic of the cabins as we'll be there on Sun yup I said it this Sun so stoked. Sorry if I'm rubbing it in. But have been to WDW in 5yrs and never at the fort. Looking forward to the fort fun.

I'm wondering if the CM was acting on his own. There are about 60,000 CMs at WDW. We all have cell phones with cameras and we have access to a lot of the back stage areas. So wanting to see your pics seems kind of silly. Is there a black market for backstage photos? I wonder what he would have done if you hadn't shown him any pics? I can see it now, KFK walking out of the MK in Minnie Mouse handcuffs . Now that would be a picture.

I think this no photography policy must be something that they drill into the attractions castmembers.

We got stuck on Pirates not too long ago. We had just been seated in our boat and the ride shut down. After a couple of minutes, the lights came on, and they announced that we would have to get up and exit. There really wasn't anything much to see or photograph, but the castmembers were having hissy fits and were very vocal about not taking photographs. Of course, I took a few, but there really wasn't anything of interest. No snickering pirate room or anything. We got a free fastpass for our trouble.

Great TR! Thanks for sharing, and allowing us a glimpse to your vacay...

Thank you for following along. We still have a way to go so I hope you stick around for the rest. :thumbsup2

I know what you mean. I am not the backstage type myself.

I prefer to keep the magic in tact.

Soooo... if they didn't want me to take a pic they shouldn't have led me back there.

Let that be a lesson to them.

I did it once and I'll do it again.

Thank you very much.

From disappointment to pride.

I'm doing my job.

They'd just better be glad I didn't have my high tech broom handle and duct tape handy. Imagine the pics I could have gotten then.

I'm actually surprised they didn't catch me on surveillance and hold me captive in the Snickering Rabbit Room to interrogate me while shining an ultrabright light in my face.

The CM was just that dramatic.

A true Fort Fiend you say? The highest of all Dis honors.

My heart is full.

KFK, I am loving your trip report! You are hilarious & your family is adorable. Thanks for giving me something to do on my "Tropical Storm" day!

Thanks a million. Very sweet of you to say.

I've always felt it was important to find humor during a Tropical Storm.

It helps take the edge off.

Agreed.

That was exactly my point in taking the pics in the first place.

I do NOT like going backstage.

I paid to feel the magic.

Not to see dirty walls and smell garbage cans.

Serves them right.

I'm glad you chose to post here. Please jump in more often!

Thanks for the compliment on the pics. You're right, it's hard to get good pics of ASD kids sometimes. I also take a lot in hopes of one or two being pretty good.

In fact on the trip down, DS7 started to cry and when I asked what was wrong I found out his feeling were hurt because he thought I was taking lots of pics of his brother and only a few of him. :rotfl2: Of course, I explained and he felt better about it.

The leash did not come from WDW. It actually was the one I used for our Shelty. :rolleyes1. Enough said. :lmao:

:rotfl2: DH sure didn't want me to go along, but I couldn't resist.

I'm such a stinker sometimes.

I thought it was weird, especially since I've seen similar stuff on the Travel Channel in HD.

I didn't really find my pics all that interesting until the CM made such a big deal out of it.

It was then I knew I was onto something BIG! :rotfl:

Made me stop and wonder.......

What REALLY goes in the Snickering Rabbit Room? :confused3

We may never know.

I'm just loving your trip report - the chatter and the pics... Great job!:thumbsup2

:rotfl:
What did you think I was talking about?

Is that a Musket Mickey on there?

TCD

:sad2: You should have known by now that I am too sly to fall for that one.

Besides, anyone who read your last TR knows full well that you go for the Groovy Granny types dancing in their swimsuits on Clementine's Beach.

I believe the quote was "Meow". :lmao:

Sure you were.

My emotional journey on that comment:

:scared1:..................:lmao:..........:rotfl2:

I'm just loving your trip report - the chatter and the pics... Great job!:thumbsup2

Glad you're here.....

afterall, it's the ONLY place I can find you! :rotfl:

OK, back to business.......

I am really enjoying your TR, so should come more often, but this one isn't done yet. I wish I could do one, but not great with getting my feeling on paper or taking pictures (even thou I have like 7 cameras) as u can see by my 1st TR.

Just to tie up a couple of loose ends of day 5 before moving on......

The KFC's came to our place to dry off after the downpour at MK and the kids played and played. It was nice to spend the afternoon together.

But as all good things must....the visit had to come to an end due to Cuz's ADR's.

It was getting on into evening so we decided to hop on the GC and take the boys to Pioneer Hall playground for a bit before we settle in too much more.

DS5 didn't do well, so we brought him back and DH took DS7 back for a bit. :thumbsup2

I decided to go ahead and cook something and have it ready when they got back. Aren't I the good wife and mother here?

Here's what was on the Nathan's Famous Stovetop Griddle........

102_6388-2.jpg

Here we are on day 6.

The site was a bit messy after the weather on day 5 so DH was sweeping up a bit.

A DH who sweeps. Aren't I lucky?

102_6390-1.jpg

My parents and Bro haven't seen the MSEP yet soooo....we're all going to go to MK...again...., but not now.

Not before we enjoy a nice leisurly morning and early afternoon at the Fort.
Here's a couple of pics I snapped while enjoying my morning cuppa joe under the awning.

My idea of Fort Heaven.

102_6392-1.jpg

102_6393-1.jpg

102_6394-1.jpg

Notice what is hanging on the awning rail just behind DS.

Plaid Shorts.

MY plaid shorts.

I was wearing them on Day 5.

Since the plaid has become a hot topic among some circles on the Dis,

I thought I'd share. ;)

102_6395-1.jpg

102_6396-1.jpg

Love seeing my baby lovin' the Fort. DS7 was content to watch cartoons.:sad2:

102_6397-1.jpg

Now why not take the golf cart out for a morning spin?

I can't think of a reason why not...

so off we go.

Here's a random pic of the bus stop for 600 and 800 loops.

102_6400-1.jpg

Sorry, but I didn't take many pics this time, well, except for clotheslines.

I posted those on AuburnJen's clothesline thread.

Now the tumblies are rumbly, so we head back for a late breakfast.

Here's what KFK whipped up for the family....

102_6413.jpg

Seeing this pic reminded me that I need new plates. Those circa 1970's Correlle plates are a little dated.
