I think we might like to do a Keys to the Kingdom Tour sometime soon, but I have a few questions you guys might be able to answer:

1) How far ahead do you have to book the tour? Is there a stand-by list for last-minute trips?

2) How many people are there in a tour? Are they almost always maxed out?

3) Are there provisions for bad weather? Does it really matter?

Anything else I don't know enough to ask? :listen:

AND...are there other tours that you REALLY enjoyed?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I can't really answer your questions, but for sure if you haven't done this tour, I highly recommend going.

It's a great tour, and fun.

I think the max in one group is like 20 but don't quote me on that.

When I and a friend went, we were scheduled for like 9:30a, but we were there early. So they asked if we wanted to go with the earlier group. Which we did, which was great, it was a smaller group then what we were scheduled for.

I think the time of year will determine when or how far in advance you need to schedule.

Not sure weather would be much of a factor unless another hurricane is coming thru <G>

Be sure to let them know if need special provisions such as using wheelchair, mobility devices, or have specific dietary needs etc.... I know in our tour we did a lot of stairs. And we had lunch at Harbor House which we chose what we wanted.

Oh and they didn't allow cell phones, camera's, etc... Actually they said not to bring even packbacks, bags etc.... But there was someone in our small group that had a backpack. I think someone had a cell phone but had it turned off. I think the cellphone was more an issue if you had a camera on that cell phone. No pics allowed in specific places/sites.

Take the tour and enjoy it. I learned a lot and had great fun.

It is an awesome experience. Just please be prepared to see more than you really ever want to. I am still scarred from it in so many ways. :earseek:

So true but worth it....

BTW, We only had our family of four and six others on the tour we took 12/23.

The group is limited to 20 people on KTTK. We had 17 in our group.
I LOVED the Segway tour at Epcot (only 10 people) as well as the UnDiscovered Futureworld tour, I think there were 20 on that tour.

Here is a link to info about tours.

I think you might have to call 407-WDW-TOURS to get answers to some of your questions. Don't forget to inquire about any discounts that you might be eligible for, AAA, AP, DVC, Disney Visa, etc.
Enjoy! :sunny:

Thanks for your help. I'm the kind of person who REALLY likes to know how things work, so I thought this might be interesting.

Anybody else have any thoughts/advice?

Thanks

HI!! As far as the weather part of your question, when we went on the tour in October, it rained off and on...at times it POURED during our tour and Matthew, our tour guide, had a giant umbrella for himself and he guided us under rooftops and pavillions, ect...some of the tour is inside....so just bring your ponchos and make the best of it!! It is an awesome tour!!!! :thumbsup2

I did the tour earlier this month. Our guide told us that the guides have the ability to overbook their own tours but that the tour schedulers don't. If you show up at the Tour Garden and ask REALLY nicely you could get in.

Take the tour! It was great!

We are booked for this tour in May. I was able to book it last August. I do believe that they have stand by in case there is room for more people. When you book you are told that the tour will go on rain or shine. Don't forget that you can get AAA and other discounts for tours.
