hi all planning first trip to Disney in December -- me DH and DS almost 4 at time of trip -- i don't really get this key to the world thing?? its your room key, park tickets and u "charge" stuff on it?? can someone help me out
ok we are doing a split stay between AKL and Cont -- 3 nights each -- so can i use the same card the whole time? also i plan to book and pay for hotel, food, tickets everything in June -- so will just need money for souviners. which i just plan on bringing cash no credit cards -- so if i charge things on my key thing can i pay that off in cash at the end of the stay?? sorry for so many questions -- appreciate the help!!

You will most likely get a new card/key when you switch hotels and not keep the same one the entire trip. You are issued a card upon check-in for each person in your group. It is your ticket to the parks which you slide through a machine at the turnstiles, it is your room key, and you can have charging privileges added to it at check in, if you choose. You have to give them a credit card in order to activate charging privileges and then the charges you make are actually charged to your credit card later, so you won't be able to pay cash for them at the end of your stay. Hope this helps!

Yes, you can put everything on your key (room, tickets and "charges"). If you want to charge (and pay cash at checkout) I suggest turning in your cash at checkin. They will have you with a credit balance that you can use. (This way there isn't a safety issue with so much cash). If anything is left, they will obviously give it back.

You will get a new key at each resort, they expire at checkout. If you get tickets at your first resort, they can transfer it onto your new key for you.

Enjoy

I asked and was told if I wanted to use a credit card to charge then pay in cash later that was fine, BUT be sure to go and pay the balance early on the night before you check out. I think the charges are made late at night/early in the morning for the express checkout. You would have to do this twice if you are switching hotels. I held all of our keys since they were our ticket/room key/charge card.
