Key to the World Cards - Leftover tickets?

If your KTTW (Key To The World) card is from the past 7 years or less, the assets would be expired. Only exception to that is, if you had tickets on the KTTW card, and they were never used. Unused tickets never expire and they are good to use at a future time. If tickets on the KTTW card were partially used, the remaining days would expire 14 days after first day's ticket was used. The only way to check on the assets of an old KTTW card would be to take it with you to WDW and have it checked at either a park ticket booth or a guest services facility.

... Provided that you have not paid to have the "no expiration" feature added.

I have just such a KTTW card now, and it's not likely to be used for awhile because I am getting APs these days. It is in a safe place at home, with a note attached telling how many days are left, and the original receipt which may help a CM assist me should the card fail for some reason.

True. I overlooked that. Thanks.

Would it not be possible to take your KTTW card and use the unused/unexpired days and exchange them for an AP and then only pay the difference? AP's for non-Florida residents are expensive so every little bit counts.

There is a sticky at the top of the Theme Parks and Strategies board that is "everything you want to know about tickets."

Hopefully at some point, the moderators will move this thread over there.

You could do that only if the entire block of tickets had not been used. If you used some of the tickets, that started the 14 day clock after which no upgrades could be made. If you had bought the non-expiration option, you would preserve the days remaining, but not the ability to upgrade after 14 days.

Is there a way to check credits left on these KTWC at home?:figment:

I don't remember what it is, but I know in the past this was asked and someone posted a phone number to call for this purpose. If this is no longer possible, you would have to take the KTTW cards to WDW with ID to find out what's still on them. Hopefully someone will have that number to post or have information on whether or not this is still possible.

Here is a link to the sticky at the top of the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies forum. It's written by a Disney ticket employee and our DisBoards ticket expert, Cheshire Figment. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1452684

Post #15-F. How can I Check on What Remains on Old Tickets?

Any Ticket Window or Guest Services Location can read your old tickets and tell what the remaining entitlements are. Also, if the ticket has become demagnetized they can issue replacements. The Resort Lobby Concierges may not be able to read all tickets.

See Post #13 in this thread for how to determine the serial number of the ticket(s)

There used to be a special phone number which you could call. It appears to be no longer available. If you are able to contact the Ticketing Office, the only information they will be able to give you is if the ticket is valid or not, they cannot tell you what remains.

I had the same question. I have an 11 year old KTTW card that should have 1-2 days worth of hoppers w/ water park fun and more on them. I should have 2 but DH threw his KTTW card out at our last breakfast!!

Cheshire Figment's ticket sticky, "Everything About WDW Tickets," has many suggestions for those with lost tickets. Go to Post #13, Lost Ticket Procedures. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1452684

As previously explained, all research must be done in person at WDW. Bring your old KTTW card with you at the time of your inquiry, and any other info as explained in the ticket sticky. Good luck.

Call 407-566-4985

They will be able to help you.

They can tell you ONLY if the ticket has entitlements remaining. If it DOES have entitlements remaining, they cannot tell you the number of days remaining or whether or not there's park hopping/water park fun & more on them.

I just did this about a month ago. I had hard ticket admission media - it wasn't coded to a room key. So I'm not sure if they'll be able to help you over the phone with a room key.

Good luck! :)
