Kerry and Bush supporters. A question for y'all.

I have voted for myself before in a VA Senate campaign (Oliver North vs. Chuck Robb). I actually convinced 2 other people to write my name in as well. Strangely enough, despite tripling my support in the last few days, I didn't win.

Wow, now you have in for Entrepreneurial Italians? Where does it end? j/k :)

I disagree with Kerry on too many things, most importantly pro-life/pro-choice, to ever vote for him. Also, the next President is likely to replace one or even two Supreme Court Justices. And being conservative, Bush is the only way I'd vote.

No surprise here....Kerry.

As far as not voting if some unforseen circumstance came up....At that point, if it were that bad, Kerry would undoubtedly have to step down and someone else would take his place.

So, fellow Dem's, no need to skip voting or go Nutter, you can still vote Democratic!

I'll be voting Democratic, no matter who the candidate is, even if it's Guido the killer pimp.

Save the typing space, no need to post what if "whoever" was the Democratic candidate...the answer is still yes. There's not a person on this earth who could realistically be nominated by the Dems that isn't a better choice than bush.

I'm with wvrevy. I honestly wouldn't vote for Bush if someone offered me 30 million bucks to do it. Even if I were guaranteed no one would ever know that I voted for him, my heart and soul wouldn't let me do it.

I'm with wvrevy and Saffron in how strongly I feel about voting for Bush and NEVER voting for Kerry. Nothing could get me to vote for Kerry. I'd just not vote.

Now, if the candidate against Bush were someone with character and substance like maybe Edwards, Dean, or especially Leberman, and something HORRIBLE came out about about Bush, I'd be probably be able to vote for one of them. So for me it's a Kerry issue and not a Democratic/Republican issue.

Ok, I really am not trying to start a debate about Kerry's virtues (or lack there-of) but I honestly don't understand what the man has done that could make someone feel that strongly about him. Seriously, could you tell me what it is about Kerry that you find that objectionable ?

While I am and will be a Bush voter for all of the right reasons, I must say that I would never vote Kerry, for president, senator, or local dog poop remover. The things that are coming out on him just tells me that he won't be effective, will only be for himself and his cronys, and will make the USA the whipping boy for all other countries.

With the latter, we shouldn't be going back to the Jimmy Carter days. Haven't we learned our lessons already?

Sharpton?

I'd vote for Kerry for local dog poop remover!

Now that might make me change my mind! I'd vote for Bush for local dog poop remover! :teeth: :bounce:

I wouldn't. With his attendance track record on the Intelligence Committee, I'd have a BIG pile of poop waiting to be picked up.

Spear- How could anyone make us look worse than we do now with "all the other countries"?

I don't believe in falling for the gossip and rumor mills. Too much "high" drama and hysteria surrounding the campaigns. Why buy into it all?

I'm definitely not changing my mind, my vote for Kerry is rock solid.:sunny:

I really can't believe I'm defending Kerry...

What things in specific have come out that make you feel so?

Let's be blunt. Bush may be a little more fair IMO, but he is just as much for HIS interests as any other Pres. would be for their own. The USA is already the whipping boy, though I'm ptoud that we can stand up against world opinion and act on our conscience. Kerry will be just as effective as Bush, but in the areas Kerry cares sabout and the direction he wants to take us.

And Bush has ? Terror attacks have increased, with more attacks and more deaths worldwide...we've angered pretty much the entire middle east, and have completely failed in our handling of post-war Iraq...Our economic "recovery" is turning out to be considerably slower than advertised....and Bush's tax cuts have the middle class paying a higher percentage of their income in taxes while the uber-rich get to pay less. You consider that "effective" ?

Yeah, because I'm sure he'll be granting no-bid contracts to Edwards' former company....No, wait, that's right...the current guy does that :rotfl:

As opposed to Emporer Bush, who wants to conquer them all  Since when did diplomacy and tact become a bad thing to have in a president ?

Doesn't it bother any Kerry supporters that he missed 76 percent of the meetings while on the Senate Intelligence committee? And all of them in the year after the 93 WTC attack. Yet he says now that he'll immediately reform the intelligence community.

Or is that another pack of Bush "lies"?

Set me straight please.
