When we are at WDW in June we will be celebrating my DD's b-day. We arrive on Friday and will be spending that afternoon and evening at Epcot. My DD's birthday is Sunday. (This is the important part!) Her absolute favorite treat is croissants, which I seem to remember them having at the Boulangerie Patisserie. If I buy them on Friday night and put them in a ziploc, do you think they will still be tasty on Sunday morning for breakfast? We do not have hoppers and will be at AK on Saturday and MK on Sunday, but do not want to take the time to stop anywhere Sunday morning (we would rather eat before the park opens). We will be staying at CBR. Thanks.

They will most likely be ok, but I think you can get croissants at the boardwalk bakery too. You'd not have to go into a park of course.

I know they have Mickey shaped muffins there. :teeth:

We just stayed at Coronado and they had them at Cafe Rix for breakfast so your resort might have them for breakfast as well. You might want to check there before buying and saving one for a few days. A ziploc might work but as the wife of a bread baker (for fun) we use the bread bags a lot. See if you can fond those and any bread will stay super fresh for days (they are similar to the Green bags for fruits and vegetables but for bread and well worth it)

Real french croissants are meant to be eaten on day they are made - they have no preservatives.

I wouldn't think they would keep. Maybe ask when you go to buy? I think you'd be better with other fresh pastries bought on the day.

I think they'd tend to be quite soggy if kept in a ziploc from Friday to Sunday. As the PP said, you can get croissants at the Main St. Bakery in the MK.

They also have them at the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery in AK (outside of Tusker House) if you wanted them on Saturday.

Are the ones at Boulangerie Patisserie special? Are they really French? I went through there last time and they looked like the ones every where else, but I didn't try them.

I don't see them on the menu at CBR's Old Port Royale, but I do see a croissant sandwich, so I'm sure they have plain croissants too. Almost every CS breakfast place will have croissants.

From the pictures on some website with CBR on it, it looked like there is a bakery there called Cinnamon Bay Bakery. Does anyone know what is available there?
