"Keep moving down"...

Funny! I always think its funny that people want to sit in the middle of the row in the middle of the theater.

Occasionally I'll see people quasi-pushing in to get in early and claim a middle seat, then when the CM announces that everyone has to move down to the end the light bulb goes off and they realized they messed up. That's always an interesting moment, as is their subsequent decision as to whether they're going to comply or if they're going to try to stay where they are.

I find the CMs dont really do much more than ask people to move down - and probably why many people we've encountered just stay seated. If you want the seat then have at it - but at least get up so we're not climbing over you.

I'm the person who gets to a row, and heads over to the far end...maybe about 10 rows from the end. That way, I'm out of the theatre quickely, instead of getting stuck behind all the slow pokes. And yes, I've also trod on toes when people insist on staying in the dead center of the room! I say excuse me, saying that I'm just trying to comply with the CMs instructions...never on little kids toes, just the adults. The ones that are now glaring at my group! As they stay seated, making it almost impossible to get past them without a struggle.

I can deal with Laugh Floor, Tough to be a Bug, Mickey's Philharmonic, Pixar Shorts, HoP, CoP, etc - because it's easy to hold back as the stampede enters so I can pick a seat. I find it essential to sit in the back for anything 3-D or I have trouble with the resolution of the images and I get sick.

What I don't like is when I get a FP for FOTLK - and I go to the VERY END of a row - can't fit anyone else on the end. And then - they ask you to move in the opposite direction - now trying to get me to move someplace else so a non-FP person entering very late into the theater gets a better seat than I do. This one makes me angry. I had a FP, you told me to sit any where I wanted, and now you want me to move? I typically just ignore them. At some point - I might get kicked out - and then I'll complain to a manager. But so far - the CM just tends to give up on my moving.

Not necessarily - I sat at the far end at Mickey's Philharmonic and the bend of the screen or whatever it was, distorted some of the 3D images and created havoc in my head. :sad1:

Try closing one of your eyes during the show. That works for me.

For rides where I'll be told to move all the way down I don't care about the shortest line. And since we are big mover-downers (LOL), I know that every seat (we've been in) has a decent view of the screen.
Yes, this. Having been in practically every seat, there are really no bad ones. Except if you have someone 6 foot 4 or taller wearing a hat seated in front of your 3 year old then even the middle of the row won't save you.
