~ Kate Plus Eight ~

I guess I didn't see what you did. I didn't see her acting like her kids were so much better than anyone. People here kept saying, if her kids weren't tossed out, why wouldn't she come forward. So she did, and you think she's a liar. I thought her kids went to private Christian school..and here there is no entrance exam for that. I don't know that she's a liar..and I don't much care. She did what most parents would do, stuck up for her kids. As for if the school is a good one or not, I don't know. Maybe like a lot of private schools they aren't equiped to handle kids with problems. I don't know if the problems are because they are a bit behind, maybe as premies, or really trouble makers.

As for the camping show, maybe it will be like the motorcycle show and be on both shows. Or maybe it was always meant for SP's show. I never heard either way...just that they were with her.

I think she is lying about the mental state of her kids in general. She implies that her kids are so smart because they go to an academically challenging school. She gushes over how great her kids are. If you haven't seen the repeated gushing then you aren't watching the same interviews that I am. I don't believe that the school is all that, I don't believe that her kids are all that. I also don't believe half of the stuff she says about Jodi or anyone else. She comes across as the only one who has ever done anything right as far as the kids go. Sorry just don't buy it.

There is a huge difference in sticking up for your kids and behaving the way she does. And really why did she come out after the show, BECAUSE< if she came out before the show, the ratings would not have been what they were. Probably TLC driven. This woman need s to get the kids off the show and do something herself, but I think she knows that people don't care about her, they only want to see the kids. I think those poor kids should be taken away from everyone in that family and given to someone completely different. I will be going now, as I hate to devote anymore time to a woman that despise. I never did care for her, but now, well she isn't fit for anything so I am done giving any kind of thought or time to her.

I guess she would have been a much better person if she said her kids were trouble makers. After all, none of us would stick up for our children. Obviously, if they don't know what a triangle is, she can't be lying too much (if kids that age are supposed to know what one was), and they might just be a bit behind.
Again, she's darned if she does and darned if she doesn't give outa bunch of dirt on her kids and why they were removed (I haven't heard the school or her say they were expelled..just one source, picked up by many others, word for word). She said it was a mutual decision..I have no idea if it was or wasn't, but I'm glad if the kids need extra help with school work (which wouldn't be unusual with preemies) or dealing with the divorce (which also wouldn't surprise me), I'm glad they appear to be getting it.
As for the Santa thing, how silly.

Actually, I have friends with preemies, triplets. They are all in gifted.

Wasn't the original lure of the reality show that she and John were an ordinary family raising a family of multiples?
Let me ask this..what exactly is ordinary about her any longer? She is a celebrity. How exactly is this show "reality"..especially for the children? I must be the only one on the planet...but I just don't get it.

Okay..she's got eight kids. She isn't the only person who's had to raise eight kids. So, the idea that she needs to keep the show going to support them, sorry but I don't buy into that. Yes, they're multiples..and that was interesting while they were young. I mean there was a certain curiosity to see how a so called "ordinary":rolleyes1 couple raised this large family.
At this point..these kids aren't babies, and their mother needs to think twice about having their lives chronicled in every sleezy tabloid at the supermarket check out.
Particulary in regard to her two older girls. The time has come to stop this...before it comes back to kick her in the rear end. Although it looks as if that's already started. At some point..the cameras will go away. The children are going to be in for a rude awakening. I think they will face many of the same issues that so called "child stars" have faced when their shows and celebrity come to an end. Wouldn't it be better for Kate to put a stop to this now, while the kids are still young enough to adjust and acclimate to a life out of the limelight?
I'm just sayin'......:rolleyes1

:worship: :worship: If only everyone thought like you do....

If only everyone thought like you do....

But they don't, and there are still people interested. I haven't seen any of her interviews, just what I read that is posted here lately. I guess I'm not interested enough to actually watch her interviews. Didn't even know there were any, or that she talked about how academically well the school was. I guess I haven't been devoting time to her.

Some preemies do very well, like your friends, but not all of them do. Looks like 4 are doing well and 2 are not. Or the divorce may be hitting them harder. I haven't seen much about any of the family, other than to see on the cover of a mag this week that Jon has an IT job. Other than that, I have no idea what they are up to, or how many specials are going to be on.

I get it Mhs, you despise her and aren't going to be devoting any more time or thoughts to her. It's a choice you made, I understand.

Well, I guess we know what happened to the rest of the vacation in Alaska.
Kate said on the plane, that they would be in Alaska for 2 weeks.

I would love to go to Alaska, but not for awhile.
She proved my point, that it is cold in summer and my summers are short enough, I don't want to go to a colder climate in summer.

Kate is sure getting raked over the coles by the gossip columns. She should of just crawled in a tent and had Sara give her hand warmers and went to bed.

Ever see that last season of Roseanne? Where they one the lottery and lived it up?

Kate is the "reality" version of that final season.:rolleyes1

It would be funny if it weren't true.

If they had asked, I could have told them she's not the camp out kind of gal LOL.

I still find it interesting that so many people say they aren't interested, but darn if the gossip mags don't think she still sells the magazines, and the internet gossip columns must be enjoying having her to rip again. I only saw the one story about her leaving the camping early, but it sounds like she is back in the 'news'.

The nature of humanity. The gossip tends to feed our "evidence" troughs to prove how __________ someone is.

So if you think someone in a negative way, the gossip columns help to feed that feeling in you.

I'm not afraid to admit that I read such items on occasion. We are a curious species that finds it difficult to mind our p's and q's. Hence all of us are on a discussion board. That isn't necessarily a bad thing.

So I'm just dying to know.

How did the all the Kate supporters feel about her on Sarah Palin's Alaska show?

I'm definitely not a Kate supporter (actually definitely not a Sarah Palin supporter either) but I thought Kate sure made Sarah look good.

I never saw such a spoiled brat of a mother. I really felt bad for the kids. When one of them said they wanted to stay Kate said they were a "Palin" not a "Gosselin".

As I said on another thread to me it's just typical. All Kate, all about me.

Some people are actually angry, Kate was so bad that Palin haters are now saying she was great compared to Kate and they had to take Sarah's side. lol

To everything you said - exactly!!!! :thumbsup2

I couldn't believe what a whiny little ***** Kate was being!! And rude! And making everyone uncomfortable! My GOD!! Asking Piper Palin - "So you actually LIKE this?? This is FUN for you????" That was a child she was talking to - a child who was excited to have her and her children there, and she was attempting to make her feel foolish??? Unreal! She did it to her own kids, as well!! It was disgusting.

Her temper tantrum! :sad2: "I'm hungry!!!!!!!!!!" Then flipping eat! Oh, I forgot - there were no paper towels or "hand cleansing items" Why didn't SHE bring it, if it was so important to her. The Palin's provided everything!!!

Not to mention - while she stood like a primadonna under the tent, everyone else was watching and taking care of her children.

She's a piece of work. I had my jaw dropped for that entire camping segment of the show. She made Sarah Palin look like a class act, though.

And let it be made clear - I HATE camping and would never camp. But I'll tell you, I would have NEVER acted the way she did. She knew what camping was (it was clear with the multiple comments she made about it - such as "acting homeless") Why did she agree to it?

I can't flipping stand that woman. She makes me furious just looking at her.

I totally agree with both of you. I am not a Kate hater either but I was appalled at her behavior on last night's show. What a spoiled brat:sad2: I really felt bad for her kids...they were having a great old time and she was just standing there under the tent whining. It's Alaska, and it's camping...what did she expect???

TLC rewarded her with a trip to Austrailia and New Zealand. She must have really complained to get to go to a warm climate. I wonder though if they are avoiding all the flooding. I also read Jon tried to stop the trip to Austrailia months ago. Some feel he is mad because he can't go along, but at least he was trying to stop taping again for the sake of his kids.

I thought he tried to stop it/argue in court because he was supposed to have them for that holiday.
It doesn't seem right that it's his holiday (if it was..not being in court, who knows what was said) and he doesn't get to have them. I wonder (and have no way of knowing) if he is paying his support, and if he isn't (just supposing and could be way off) if that's why the judge let her do this, since it's considered work.

Off topic, is it warm right now in Austrailia?

I read the same thing about Jon wanting to put a stop to the Australia trip because it was during the time he was supposed to have custody of the children. I think this latest ruling is ridiculous because everything she does is for "work" and her 8 children are her laborers so I guess anything goes from now on. First she takes them to Alaska and now Australia for weeks on end, if I was divorced and my ex was allowed to do that with our child, I would be furious. Poor Jon.

DMRick- any comments on the Sarah Palin show that featured Kate?
