I was surprised at how crowded it seemed at the Statue.

For the love of God, let's hope for this trip Kate decided to wear a coat and cover up the girls. I really don't want to know if she was cold.

They all had on fleece vest and long pants. That is why I don't want to go to Alaska. If I wanted to be cold in summer, I would stay home in Wisconsin. Wisconsin did have a record breaking warm summer this year. Average temp was 78 degrees. I don't know how they come up with that number, when it was in the 80's, low 90's almost all summer.

Exactly what I was thinking. This all started because she was this "regular" mom of multiples.

All the shows start that way, as 'regular' mom and dads. I wouldn't expect any of the TV moms to continue being regular moms. I think all of their lives changed on these shows, once they hit TV. I just don't get why none of them learned from each other, that maybe this isn't good for their marriages. The show with Jenny..man I can't see that marriage lasting...that husband seems to always be at fault. And this new one, where they mostly keep their babies upstairs (quints, I think?). I don't see that going good either. Of course they are in desperate financial trouble and need the money from the show).

I guess if Kate is comfortable in those clothes and shoes, and it's her life (and her discomfort, if it is uncomfortable), but I know I wouldn't be. I don't really care what she wears, I just don't like seeing the 'girls' lose on anyone.

I think the new show Quints is different. For one they work as a well oiled machine. They work as a team that is headed in the same direction. They truly appreciate the volunteers and she was not whining when she had the children by herself.

Did anyone else notice in this week's episode that at the beginning Kate is talking about the last trip where she called her divorce attorney and then at the end they showed a graphic that said, "one year ago" and Jon was in the footage? You would think that TLC would take better care of their cash cow and not make editorial errors like that.

I loved how she made it a point to say that her kids were not going to be able to keep quiet for the baby turtles and yet she was the only one talking.

The "story-line" with the kites and going to NYC really proved that she is unable to stray from the expectations of what the network wants to film, even when conditions are not optimal. I mean who really thought that flying kites with 6 year olds was going to go well with that kind of wind to deal with.

Loved how she talked about the tups taking their naps again, I think she is the one who really needs them to nap not the other way around.

On a positive note- I saw the photos of her running and her abs look amazing.

I think she is grounded but that's a lot of money to come up with with not a lot of employment in the house. I hear him being fearful about the lack of money a lot. I also hope they tell the kids first, that they are not his bio chldren before someone else does. I don't see any need to put that on the air. I just kept shaking my head. I thought that was sort of personal, and had nothing to do with the story.
In any case, I don't understand why these people keep going on TV with their personal lives (yeah, I know, prob for the money) when they see what has come before them.

I think the new show Quints is different. For one they work as a well oiled machine. They work as a team that is headed in the same direction. They truly appreciate the volunteers and she was not whining when she had the children by herself.

One of the other boards said that Jon said he was paid extra for that showing.

I wondered if it's part of the contract that they had to do it..although I loved it when she had them crunch them up..when she finally realized it wasn't going to happen for the kites LOL. Maybe they thought the wind was a good time to fly kites.
NYC would have been a lot harder to change plans on (not like kite flying..just do something else in the house), and it could have been rain, instead of heat next time. The kids seemed to do ok there.

Anyone that can't see the difference there must not be watching. those 2 people treat each other with love, there is no voice raising and snapping or ugliness.

Nope, none of them. He has no live ones. I would have rathered not had that be on the show.

Jenny and Bryan..I totally agree with you. I think they need a different marriage expert. One that doesn't always find everything Bryan's fault LOL! She must fly into FL..isn't she the same one they had before they moved?

The major difference. They are actually down sizing. Sure they had a big house to begin with, but I don't think Kate would ever down size, she would have gone up from there. She never whines and is always smiling, and even when stressed she seems happy. Kate could take some lessons from her.

The bottom was on the way down before they had all the kids..but I think they still hoped it would sell for a good profit. They actually built it as an investment and never intended to keep it. It just won't sell now (so far). He just seems so depressed, like he has the world on his shoulders. You are right..nothing seems to bother the wife, she always has a smile. I hope he gets some well paying work before too long. Just liek them, Kate has a show, and so far she seems to have saved enough to keep her house. If she was in the same circumstances, I don't think she could either.

Well they may be from a donor, but I see more love from him than I ever saw from Kate or Jon. Not once have I heard a sceam or a OH MY LORDY BE. Kate freaks out over everything. These guys don't.

As far as Brain is concerned, pretty much everything is his fault. He wanted the new career, he wanted to move (yes Jenny agreed and I think she wanted to also) But just who is working in FLorida, that would be Jenny. And Brain just complains. Even my DH says that guy is a jerk and should keep; his mouth shut. I would not put up with it. He is nasty beyond all belief, in the way he speaks to Jenny.

I do have to say, I don't understand after all K & J have been through, why anyone would then go on a show like this.

And when Bryan and Jenny started, many people on the Dis stuck up for them and thought they were wonderful. They all (k & J included) seem to go downhill as the show goes on.

I don't care that the quints father isn't the bio either..I just wished it hadn't been announced on the show before the kids got old enough to tell them. But that's just an opinion..means nothing to those who don't agree, and that's fine.

I'm glad for them..it was a real burden. Hope they found one to move into.

Kate had a very small house, I have read and I do believe although i don't have proof, but I think she marketed them before they were every born. I do believe that they asked and demanded things. Also, there is no way that believe that Kate would ever down size. She is becoming bigger than life in her own head.

Also Casey has said over and over again that she doesn't care where they live and what they have as long as they are together, that is all that matters. But Kate has to get a huge plot of land and a huge house becuase the kids deserve it. I see a huge difference between the 2.

Also at least the hubby on the quints was working, Jon couldn't keep a job. Sorry but there is just a world of difference. They don't have an entitlement issue where Kate does and I believe always has.
