Does anyone know where I can get a description of Kali that tells how big the drop is? I don't care for drops or coasters, but I want to try Kali. I can handle the small drop in Pirate's, though I don't really like it. I've been on Splash Mountain and the drops in the dark I HATE, but handled the other because it was over so fast. Is there a website that describes rides in detail?

Lori :)

Honestly, I don't even remember a drop on Kali. I am not saying that there is not one; I am just saying that I don't remember it if there is.
I am just like you, though. I hate drops. Actually, the one on Pirates is as far/deep of a drop as I can handle. I can't do anything deeper/farther than that!!! I can't do any coasters with drops!!!! So with that being said, I don't think you have anything to worry about with Kali. I don't have a bit of a problem with that ride. I love it!

The drops (if that's what you want to call them) on Kali are not very steep at all. If you can handle pirates, you can definately handle Kali without a problem - as long as you're not afraid of getting soaked!

I believe I saw on another thread that the drop is 25ft. Just enough to get a few poor souls in your raft extremely soaked!

As previous poster implied, it's not a very memorable drop, but it does manage to get at least a couple people soaked. We loved this ride, especially in the heat of the summer, and we must have gone at least 1/2 dozen times whne the crowds were low. Great ride!

I am an extreme nervous nellie. I dislike drops immensely. I don't do roller coasters. I have neve been on Tower of terror or Rockin Roller Coaster. I have been on Splash Mtn numerous times and I still HATE the drop BUT........Kali River Rapids is one of my very favorite rides. We do it over and over and over again. There is absolutely NOTHING to be afraid of. I mean NOTHING. Go ahead and try it once and you will be proud of yourself.

Up you go....
It is a very easy drop. Anyone can handle it. But wear your raincoat unless you want to get drenched. ;)

The drop on Kali isn't all that big, it's probably about the same size as POTC. Just be careful that you aren't the ones to go down the hill first..you'll get soaked..

There is hardly no drop, nothing that you would be scared of. Its a great ride, be prepared to get wet

Guess what you guys?

You have totally convinced me to try this ride in May.

I too, never ride coasters, TOT, or aything like that...but now am willing to try Kali River Rapids...I don't even know what park it is in because we've never done it.

Can anyone tell me?

Animal Kingdom. We got my mom on this one and she is a chicken when it comes to rides. She loved it.

Thank you all so much! You have convinced me. DH & I are going just the 2 of us next trip and he loves it, now he won't have to ride anything but RNR, ToT, SM, SM, & BTMRR by himself, and EE of course. I can't wait for August! Thanks for the photo Tinkerbellemagic, that helps. But it looks like it goes up a long way. I remember the long, slow trip up the rails on BTMRR. I felt like I had just been sentenced to the gallows! And once I got off the ride, my legs were like jelly. At least I now know Kali will not be like that. So I won't feel dread as we are going up. Thanks again everyone!
