Well, now that we've taken our first cruise, on the wonder, I know what all the fuss is about. She is a beautiful, spotless ship, and you feel like you are royalty when traveling on her. I can really see how once a person has cruised Disney, you might be reluctant to try another cruise line. But, I do wonder....for instance, I thought the food on the Wonder was very good (didn't do Palos)but not "awesome" How do other cruise lines compare foodwise, anyone?

We've done three Celebrity cruises in addition to three Disney. The food on our most recent Celebrity wasn't nearly as amazing as the first two times, but still much better than Disney.

That's not to say Disney food is bad...it isn't. But it's not at the same level. I guess it's because Disney appeals to a more mainstream audience.

My wife has sailed Carnival and she feels DCL is superior to their food.

The one thing DCL could really work on is presentation. Visually, some of those meals could have put you to sleep! This I found surprising.

DCL has better poolside fare...pizza, hot dogs, chicken fingers, etc. This is all quite good by comparison.

Edge for breakfast and lunch buffets would have to go to Celebrity, simply because of the broader options they offer. Quality and taste are about comparable.

DCL does have Krispy Kremes though...:p

All those donuts at breakfast? Yep, they're Krispy Kremes. We saw them hauling boxes of frozen donuts through Topsiders one morning.

Mmmm....jelly.
