Just Wait Until You Read "The Drama"

Hey, thanks for reading cajunfan!

My husband and I have talked about renting an ECV but I'm scared. I've never used one before and I don't want to run anybody over with it. But we haven't completely ruled it out yet. Maybe I'll try it out one day and see how I feel about it.

So Alex finally got in touch with his grandmother in Venice and we are meeting her and her husband on Sunday, Nov 15 which is our DHS day. We're meeting for lunch around 1 pm and Alex said that he would prefer to not have to be back in Orlando at any particular time in case they want to spend most of the day together. So we'll see what happens. I still really have my heart set on riding Tower of Terror (my favorite ride of anywhere of all times) and The Great Movie Ride (the montage at the end is, I think, my second favorite thing in DHS - it makes me cry) and I have my heart set on seeing the Osborne Family Lights since this is going to be the last year.

I'm not going to try to get back in time on Sunday if everybody else is having a good family togetherness time, but if we do get back in time Imma be rushin' to get to the park. If not, we have park hoppers so I'll try to do it another day. I'll have to play it by ear.

Little over a week to go. Made arrangements for our apartment to be cleaned before we leave. I can do laundry and dishes and whatnot, but cleaning the bathroom and doing floors is nigh impossible so we're having somebody come in the day before we leave. I also made an appointment to have my nails done next Thursday at a place that's walking distance from the apartment so I'm excited for that.

Currently watching grav3yardgirl Disney-centric videos on YouTube.

Oh, I forgot! I've been wanting to have a TS breakfast while we're in Disney. Originally I was thinking about either our Epcot or MK day but 1) nothing was available at either park or any of the Monorail hotels (reasoning: getting to the park(s) fast afterwards) and 2) I didn't want to take too much time away from the parks.

So I became brilliant and thought, "Hey, we can have breakfast before we leave Thursday morning! And we can do it anywhere (as long as it's not in a park)!" And now we have TWO ADRs for Whispering Canyon Cafe. One for 7:30 am and one for 10:20 am. Because those were the only ones available but one's really early and one's kind of late when we have a roughly eight hour drive ahead of us. I figure we can pick which one we want once we get closer. But it'll probably be 10:20 am. Calling it.

It's Wednesday. The trip is Saturday. I'm starting to worry.

Yesterday I started to pack and was starting to feel anxious about forgetting something. Alex and I are headed back to North Carolina after WDW and we're going to be gone for a total of two weeks. There's a lot of stuff to pack.

While packing I managed to knock over my cane (I don't use anything inside the apartment anymore so it was hanging on the back of a dining room table chair) and it hit my big toe on my right foot. Ow!

Maybe two minutes later a banged the big toe on my left foot against the frame of our bed.

That one really hurt. Enough to make me sweat and hyperventilate. I could feel it in my shoulders! As my nerves try to recover from GBS, I get a lot of hypersensitivity and my feet are the worst off.

I called Alex because I was starting to really feel down, but he was busy with work (lots of stuff to do before vacation). So I tried my mom. No answer.

Then I called my dad who was driving home from work on the east coast. My dad made me feel tons better. We chatted for a bit and he told me that as long as Alex and I were on the plane, we could buy anything we forgot.

My toe was still hurting some when I got off the phone so I got into bed to watch Netflix and wallow.

After one episode of whatever it is I was watching I decided to pull myself together, get up, shower, get dressed, and walk to Walgreens because I was out of wine!

I've been moving away from using my shower bench (unless I'm shaving my legs - that's hard, y'all) so I took it out and started warming up that water.

As I bent to pull the thingy that switched the water from tub to shower I pulled a muscle in my lower back/hip area.

It's at this moment that I really wish we could curse on the Disboards. How about a growl? Ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

To my credit I managed to stay upright. Things would have been all over if I had fallen. I got myself out of the shower, into a robe and onto the bed.

It was a rough day yesterday. Alex left work early at my request (he was not happy about it) and brought home dinner and a heating pad. He was upset about missing an important meeting but still took care of me.

I have problems sleeping anyway so I have Ambien which really helped me sleep through the pain last night. Today I'm still in pain, but I can tell it's not as bad. Bending over and moving from sitting to standing is horrible. I'm really hoping that this is resolved by Saturday's cross-country flight. Ugh.

I have things to do, muscles! I don't have time for this!

On top of that I got an email from touringplans.com showing that the crowd levels for DHS and MK have been bumped up to 6/10. More growling. Gggggggggggrrrrrrrrrr!

I know I need to be more positive. Think happy Mickey thoughts!
