Just the two of us- WDW May 09 countdown on! **UPDATE Trying to change plans AGAIN!**

We're not flying a participating airline this time either, but we'll still use DME. It's still very convenient. We usually pack shorts in our carry-on bag so when we get to our resort we check-in, change, hand our bag off to guest services and we're off. Actually, we've never waited more than an hour for our bags, but I know that's not guaranteed to happen for you. If you don't want to wait, you can always claim your bags and take them on DME with you. As far as the return flight, you can check-in and get your boarding passes at the airline check in desk even if you are not on a participating airline. You can also have them hold your luggage for you on the last day after check-out, before you are being picked up by DME. I think the biggest inconvenience with using DME is having to check your bags when you get to the airport to come home, but you will have to do that even if you don't use DME. Plus, DME is free and roundtrip in a taxi or town car costs about $120.

Just my 2 cents!!

Yeah I just saw that the town car would be WAY too much to spend. I will probably use DME. I am just worried about the hassle of checking baggage at the airport with Rylan in tow. In Indy I will have help but I am gonna have a ton of stuff. Will someone there help me with my bags? I had already planned on bringing a carryon with clothes in it just in case!

I can understand the hassle of luggage and toting Rylan around! I'm pretty sure there is curbside luggage check-in where DME drops you off. If you check-in at the resort airline desk, you can just use the curbside luggage check. If not, or if I'm wrong about the curbside, the check-in desks are right inside the doors where DME drops you off. You won't have far to go with the luggage. I think i'm going to post on the transportation thread to see if they have the curbside luggage check since we will be doing the same! I'll let you know what I find out!!

 Happy Valentine's Day!

Sounds like a great date except for the end part!! I understand not wanting to let you in if he is sick, but like you said, he's not giving you a choice. Hopefully, his doctor will confirm that nothing is wrong and he can cheer up! Right now, he's just scared of the what if!

I'd be checking to see who else is out there on Match.com:surfweb: (don't put all of your eggs in one basket!!), but I'm a glass half full kinda person.:rotfl:

No, seriously, it's probably best to take it slow anyway. What do I know about taking things slow, DH and I went out and he moved in with me 4 weeks later. We've been together 10+ years now!:lovestruc

Wow...that is fast! My parents got married on a car ride to California. My dad had come to Iowa to pick up my mom and move her in with her sister in California. They had only meet 2 before. They have been married 30 plus years!

Glad the date went well. Hope his Doc has good news. I think DME is the best choice. When I fly with just me and the 2 kiddos I always do curbside check in. Or stumble into the airport and usaully someone takes pity on me and helps.

Thanks :) I hope he gets good news too. Luckily I took his mind off of it last night :) He texted me today and said he didn't sleep well because he was bothered. I thought he was talking about the tumor. He said no not at all it wasn't even on his mind because someone got him all worked up :lmao: :lmao:

LOL I have the opposite happen at the airport! People see me struggling (one time I was even in tears!) and walk right past me! I have two suitcases, a diaper bag, and I am carrying a baby and they don't even bother. Hopefully this time will be better!

I posted this thread on the transportation board: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2090441 and someone replyed that they used curbside luggage check-in for SWA, so once you're off the bus, you can just check your bags at the curb and only have Rylan in tow. That's good news! Should make things easier!:thumbsup2

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!! This is sounding very promising!!! :lovestruc What happened to taking this slow? He MUST have been doing some "thinking" about you last night!! :rotfl: How was his family? popcorn:: I can't believe you're leaving us hanging!

Haha sorry its so late! I actually ended up driving Rylan around to get him to sleep (he is having major sleep issues as of late) and we stopped by M's. I actually introduced them which is unlike me. So I just got home after getting Rylan to bed.

Anyway, my day has been great! Let me start off with the fact that M is totally anti Valentine's Day. He hates what its become so he is not super interested in celebrating it. He texted me for a while today and ended up calling me and eventually mentioned he wanted to grab coffee tonight. I literally called everyone I knew to babysit and couldn't find ANYONE. I convinced my dad and by that point M had decided he wanted to go out to eat. So he picked me up and we drove north to go to a couple stores that he wanted to go to and then went to Friday's and put our names in. On the way up there he told me his mom had invited me over and we could go if I wanted. I said I didn't care what we did so he took me over there while we were waiting for dinner (we had a 30-35 min wait so we just drove). His parents are totally cool :) His sisters were there too. We didn't stay long since we had to make dinner. On the way to his mom's he said something about did I get his message he left me earlier. I told him no...and he said my phone was off so it was this morning when my phone died. I never knew I had a voicemail. So I listened to it in the car and he had left me a message saying that he was headed to his mom's and in the cheesiest voice ever told me Happy Valentine's Day :) It was so cute.

So we get to Friday's and had THE weirdest waiter ever. It was so fun though. He felt bad since he didn't plan it out and really had wanted to take me somewhere a lot nicer. I told him it was okay we had plenty of time to go somewhere else some other time (his parents were giving him hell for taking me to Friday's LOL). So we ate dinner and laughed the whole time. He was talking about law school and asked that if we were seriously dating, would I be okay with him going to school 5 nights a week and only having weekends and a few hours a day to see each other. Of course I told him it would be fine with me.

He took me back home and on the way we drove by a lot of the mansions by where we were. We drove by Nancy Irsay's house (Colts owner), the Simon's house (owner of Simon malls), some other guy I forget his name but he was the person who invented voicemail and owns ChaCha, and more.

Anyway he dropped me off and kissed me again. He was telling me that he had a great time :)

I texted him after to tell him thank you and that I had a really good time and he texted me back to say "No thank you I had a great time and my folks liked you too"!!! He said his mom especially likes me and I guess she called him after to see how the date went and told him she likes me so that's good right?

We hung out with Rylan and he was SO good with him and was totally involved and played with him it was awesome. Rylan gave him a hug before we left and everything.

So yeah :) That was my Valentine's Day!

WOW!! How awesome, OK, forget what I said about seeing who else was on Match.com, this guy is SMITTEN  with you and it sounds like you are feeling the same way! He got the Mom thumbs up approval :thumbsup2 and that's usually a big deal for guys. Just the fact the he is already talking to his family about you is HUGE! OMG, you are totally changing your reservation to add him, aren't you!?! A lot can happen in the next 3 months, you never know!!! :rotfl:

I'm so happy you had a great Valentine's Day! :lovestruc

Oh I forgot to add. He was messing with my Blackberry adding applications and on the browser on there match.com was on there because I was trying to unsubscribe to email notifications since I get them constantly. He asked me about it and I told him and said I had canceled my subscription. He said he canceled his account too. That match.com had served its purpose :goodvibes

He is a self proclaimed momma's boy too so I know it has to be a good thing (haha mom's adore me, they always have).

He was supposed to go to Disney in June with his family but they canceled their trip because his dad might get laid off. I told him I would totally let him go with me if he wanted but there is no way he could get off work. He is going to San Francisco during that time instead since he already took time off.

:yay: :woohoo:

I'm glad you had a good V-Day and got meet his family. And I'm glad that you got along with them...that's VERY important too. If you don't get along with someone like that, then you could have potential problems. But I'm happy for you and being able to do that.
