Poor you at theborder !!The customs people can be really evil!! But they also catch a lot of drug smugglers and terorists too So Iguess I'll forgive them!!
Dang...remind me not to drive to Canada anytime soon!!! Sorry you had a hard time with that, but at least you got across the border![]()
Sorry you had such a tough time at the border, looks like you got lucky and got the random "special treatment". I think they have to hit a quota each day of how many cars to pull over etc. We cross the border ALL the time and every time we just get waived through, except for once, we didn't do anything differently but for some reason that day they decided we needed to be grilled and the car searched. I think it is totally random or you just got a guard on a bad day.
What a mess!! So sorry you had to deal with that. I hope the trip got better from there...
Sorry about the border problems! Did you cross in Detroit or Port Huron? It's nice to know their searching single moms, they're the most dangerous criminals out there!!![]()
You're not joking about the pot holes. They are HORRIBLE!! We have the worst roads ever! The local news actually has a "Pothole Patrol" segment every night. Last winter, I hit a pot hole and took out the passenger side of my car. At the time I was driving a 2007 Chevy Impala and hit a pot hole coming off of I-275 onto Michigan Ave. It was 10pm and snowing. I blew both tires on the pass. side, bent both rims, ripped the undercarriage off, needed a new rear side panel and new bumper. $4300 in damages!WHAAA? I have a $500 deductible that I had to pay so I filled out a complaint to the state and was reimbursed my deductible. Oh, by the way, I was 1 of 6 other cars stranded on the side of the road that night. Mike was out of town and I had to call my Mom to pick me & Emily up. She was in the middle of chemo and not very strong at that point. It was H. E. double hockey sticks!!
Anyway, I can't wait to hear more about Canada! I'm also happy M is doing good! I hope you two can have dinner soon! He sounds like a nice guy!

Bank statements? WHAAAA? I can't believe that, we have been over the border many times and have never been asked more than our citizenship, destination and length of stay. WOW!
The kissy pics of Rylan are soooooo CUTE!!!![]()
You came back through Detroit and had to go west on 94? Why didn't you stop by? I'm only about 20 min. west of Detroit. Actually, I'm closer to Ann Arbor!
Haha that's crazy! I had to take 94W to 275S to 75S I believe. I think that's right. Whichever one would take me into Ohio (Cleveland I think?). I was going to ask where you lived but I figured it would be no where on the way!
*thumbs up* for the bathing suit and Tink shirt..I love wearing Disney-themed shirts--and have one for each day we'll be there--might buy more too![]()
And again I'm sorry you had a hard time getting across the border. Why does it matter why you're going? It's none of their business![]()
Wow, I can't believe you had to go through so much to get to Canada. I'm so unfamiliar with all that but dang! I mean proof of how much money is in the bank? well, I'm glad you made it and the pictures of Rylan are precious.
Our GPS tries to take us random routes all the time. I like to make fun of how it pronounces local streets. LOL
I love the bathing suit and the shirt!! I am one of those people that wears a disney shirt everyday. Although the June trip was the first time we did that but I loved it so much that we were completely engulfed in Disney spirit. This year I am just going to buy shirts from Disney shopping instead of making them. Brad tolerated it last year but he doesn't want to wear matching shirts. He likes Grumpy and POC shirts.
I love the luggage!!!![]()
That luggage is sooooooo CUTE!!I love it! It will be so easy for ME to spot at the airport when you fly to Disney..hint, hint, hint!!!

Where is the Turf Club? I've never eaten there or heard about it. I think I'll head to allears to see the menu!
Okay...so I am thinking about changing my major...to paralegal studies...not sure. After this semester with anatomy I just don't know if I want to get much further into nursing.... I already have almost all the pre reqs done for the paralegal program so it wouldn't hurt me. Anyone know anyone who is in this line of work? Or even criminal justice? Anyone have any thoughts on it?
The law has always intrigued me. I find it interesting that there are so many loopholes and specifics when it comes to that. I don't think I would actually go into law school, I don't have the time nor the money, but I am almost positive that this program doesn't require admission into it. I believe you can just take your courses and graduate. I have to call the school tomorrow. I would probably just do the paralegal studies and work as a paralegal or legal secretary. I would love to work for the state or federal government.
