Just Signed My Contract!

It's so exciting. We just signed our contract and sent in our deposit. We're getting married on August 16, 2006 at the Wedding Pavilion and Reception in the Living Seas. Now we wait. :thewave:

you should get a call from your event/wedding planner in about 2 weeks, i love all this planning & ideas stage. i cant wait for the big event 6 1/2 months to go.

We should have a wedding planner within a week and half. I'm still so excited. Can't wait to get the ball rolling. Is anyone going to go to WDW for a planning session? I don't think we'll be able to afford one, but who knows.

*DisneyBride* - When is your wedding date? I am not sure if we will be able to travel down to for a planning session either - which makes me sad But i am not worried about Disney planning over the phone. I'm hoping I win some money so we can go down in November

Luvndisney we're getting married Aug 16 2006. If only we could win the lottery. We're having a custom wedding. Originally my family said they would be paying for but now all of a sudden they're saying they'll pay for what we can't. So we're trying to save as much as possible, so no trips until next August.

Umm... I think maybe you should contact Disney. Typically for a custom wedding, you get your contract 8 months before your wedding. It is now 5 months before yours and you haven't received anything yet? Not to make you worry, but I would be a little concerned!

I have my wedding May of 06 and there are just not done with the contract yet and I think that is horrible but if I was in your shoes I would be a bit crazy! Good Luck!

PookieB, have you called them yet. I would get on them! I'm a little less than a year away and I couldn't stop hounding them. Is it an Itimate or Custom wedding?

Definately get on them about the contract. We are 10 months out and our wedding is at EPCOT so we were able to sign ours now. But usually its 8 months.

Disney Bride Its a Intimate wedding. I originally called in Feb of 05 to set date then called in June and was told i would be called in Aug because of the prices and changes for 2006 then told again I would be called in late Aug/early Sept and still nothing. So I think Ill give them to the end of the week before I call again for 4th time.

I called my coordinator this morning and left a message and she called back to say they still dont have the pricing for next year finished yet. and I was told intimate weddings dont have contracts so that is a relief.

that's good to hear. I'm glad you called her. I wonder what's taking them so long for the pricing? it's not like 2006 is that far away.

I know that I am not getting married until May but I am paying for it myself and not know what the prices for is a real pain in the b^%#. It seems like everyday there is another reason why I can't get the prices and I am sorry but none of them make me feel any better and this is suppose to make it easier and it is not!
