I just made a reservation for DD4 for the Wonderland Tea Party at GF. She's really into Alice right now (was Alice for Halloween) and doesn't mind being without us for a little while if she's having fun.

I think she'll be fine and enjoy it but was hoping to get some insight from anyone with experience with Wonderland Tea Party on what to expect. Did your kids enjoy it? Would they do it again? etc...

Thanks!!

My DD loved going to the Wonderland Tea Party!!! She's been to the party at least 5 or 6 times~ unfortunately, now she's too old, but if they'd let her go, I know she'd love to go back!

When you drop them off, they go in and have their tea party. They have some finger sandwiches (cut into different shapes), they each have their own tea pot (the tea is actually apple juice), and they each get a cup cake to decorate! My DD loved spreading the icing with her finger! Then Alice & the Mad Hatter would come in and read a story. They also had their picture taken with Alice & the Mad Hatter.

It really is a nice time for the kids - and if you try to peek in the "window" before its time to pick them up, they'll all yell - No Peeking!

Your DD will surely love it! We usually eat at GF Cafe while she's at the party, then I go get her and bring her back to our table!

My DD loved it more than the $200+ princess tea with Aurora. Its kids only and she loved it! If your dd is shyish sit her in the middle of the long table. The mad hatter and Alice sit on each end. DD would love to do this again!!!!

My dd9 just got to go for the first time in September. Your daughter will love it. She can dress up and also bring her autograph book. My daughter wants to go again. The "apple tea" party is only an hour. I sent dh to the resort for a nap and I relaxed by the beach.

My little guy did the Wonderland Tea Party last fall and LOVED it. It was easily the highlight of his whole trip. He's very social, but is an only child - so getting to be with all those other kids was a dream come true! They had yummy sandwhiches and fruit, decorated cupcakes, played games with Alice and the Mad Hatter, etc. He still talks about the experience, just over a year later.

Here are the pics I have from the event. They just let you go in to get the kids settled and snap a few quick pics, and then they kick you out!

Paul was only three at the time (the was before the age requirment was upped to 4) and he had no problems being separated from us. I did see some kids, though, who were very upset and clingy when Mom or Dad had to leave. If you don't think this will bother your daughter, though, I'd say it's an amazing experience!

She'll likely only enjoy it if she's the type of child who likes to eat her dessert first! :yay: My kids both loved it! My dd wore her Alice costume and my ds wore the hat from his Mad Hatter costume! They actually enjoyed it so much, that they often ask if we can have a "disney tea". Of course! How can I say no to dessert first! :dance3:

My DD10 did it when she was 4 and LOVED IT!!! I was worried about leaving her, since she didn't know anyone else who was there. However, she had a great time. The CM's were fantastic and she loved visiting with Alice and the Mad Hatter.

The above poster is right--they kick the parents out. Every time we tried to peek into the room, the Mad Hatter would have all the kids shout "NO PEEKING!" My DD still talks about it.
