Very nice pictures!! Wish I was there now!!

Thanks for posting!

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. But are they really from Jan 2008?

It is probably because the pictures look like they are on the beach in the summer and Eeyore is up in Jersey thawing out with snow on the ground right now. ;)

This was part of a land and sea trip last week of January 2008. I have the pictures of us dressed in fleece because our 3 days at the Beach Club were spent in the mid 50's for temps.

It was nice. We got on the ship, and woke up in summer time.

what great photos, thanks for sharing!!!

I am vicariously cruising on the boards until our first cruise in December of this year with land/sea...hoping for great weather then, too!

thanks so much for posting...your family is precious! Cannot wait until Sept cruise!

There doesnt seem to be a very good description on what to expect the day your are in Nassau. Here is what we did.

We woke up as we were pulling into port, and this was the view out our stateroom.

There was another ship from Carnival parked next to us in port. I took this shot.

As you walk off the ship you see this.

Again, horrible with details, but in the same square there was this.

Looking up the Queens Staircase. And yes, I had to carry a stroller up it.

Looking back down the stairs. At the base of the stairs was a nice lady selling hats and stuff. I bought my Nassau hat a necklace and a couple sodas for $20. She was so nice I gave her an extra $5 ad she just was overwhelmed. I felt ssad for them and wanted to help them make a living any way I could.

We walked from the fort over to Graycliff for lunch and I wanted some fresh cigars. These people were so snotty and rude. They made it obvious that they didn't "do lunch" and the chef would come out to see what he could prepare for us. We decided to leave and head back to the boat.

The infamous STRAW MARKET. I sat outside with the kids while the wife browsed. Just your normal junk sale. I felt bad for a kid who came out just buyng a few DVD's of some movie that was in theatres at the time. He was all bummed to open a nice cd package with a nice cover only to find a blank DVD with the title written on it in Sharpie.

We then boarded the boat and spent the rest of the day at the pool. I'd guess we walked around Nassau for 3 hours or so.

At the pool, my daughter 6 (far right) made freinds with a lot of kids.

If I had it to do over again, I would pay for transportation a little further out from the ports. Beyond shopping, there is not much to do.

Uh, yeah. Why would you think different?
Because I thought they would be from 2009. The pics are beautiful and your daughters are adorable. I love the hamming up the older one is doing. And thanks for showing pics of the straw market in Nassau. I always wondered what it was. Now I have no desire to go (or at least put it at the bottom of the list.):rotfl2:

And yes, I am frozen solid in Jersey right now!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi
Just wondering what camera you have. We are looking a purchasing a new one and your pics are awesome!! We need some advice on a new one!!
Thanks

Thanks. These were with an old Minolta 5d (6.0 mega pix dslr)

Do your homework. Mega pixal is the last stat you want to look at. If someone tells you more mega pixal = better camera, walk away, it's not always true.

You have to factor in the body, type of lenses, and about 20 other important features.

There are a number of good photo sites. Google will giove you all the help you need.

But the camera only does 20% of the work. 75% of what makes a good picture is the photographer and how well the shot is set up before the button is pressed. Give 10% of credit to the subject :)

:sad1: I don't see any pictures...
