Just Saw NEW MOON!!

Loved it too! However, the score was TERRIBLE! The Music Director needs to be fired. Also, the actor playing Edward is becoming less attractive... he needs to switch roles with the guy who plays Emmett, cause Em sizzles! Can you say HOT!?!

Read the books and know what you are reviewing before you make a review. If you don't like the movie that's one thing, but at least know the subject. Geesh...critics.

If they are a movie critic, then they are judging what they are given to watch. If they had to read every book that inspired a fiom, there wouldn't be enough time for them to view all the movies that need to be seen and written up. The job of a movie critic is to criticize a movie on its' own merits.

If those who make the film cannot make a movie that is comprehensive and good without the audience having had to read the books beforehand, then perhaps the people making that film should look at a different subject matter and give the project to someone who is able to successfully translate the "inspiration" into a standalone film. Now if the first movie hadn't set up enough for them for some reason ,then there's a whole different set of problems.

Took dd13 and three of her friends last night....biggest waste of 11 dollars ever!:lmao:

Bring it on Im ready to defend LOL

:cheer2: I have a whole new appreciation for Jacob, after New Moon.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

So do I. My mom actually switched over to Team Jacob after seeing it this morning. She even bought a Jacob button at Target tonight :rotfl2:

I actually thought it was better than Twilight. It seemed to flow better and the cineamatography was amazing. I loved the wolves, they looked so real.

Saw it last night at midnight. Besides for the kid that stood screaming right behind us when it started, not much other loudness for the rest of the movie. It was really good and I'm going back Sunday to see what I might have not caught the first showing.

There were 7 of us (3 eleven year olds and 4 adults) who went and saw it at 7 pm on Friday as well and all of us loved it!! Its going to seem like such a very loooonnnggg wait until Eclipse!

What age group is the movie for. Is it appropriate for 9 year old girls? I am really not familiar with the story.

I saw it yesterday at 4pm (GMT) and really really wished I'd waited until 9am this morning to see it. Then all the teens would have been in bed and would not have screamed and whooped everytime Jacob appeared on screen, to the point that we missed a bit of dialogue each time.
From the film I can see how people would favour Jacob (the actor is much better looking than Edward) BUT if you have read the book then I JUST DON'T GE IT! It is quite clear in the book that Edward is THE love of her life and, no matter how fit and hunky Jacob is, Edward is the one whose soul connects with hers.
Stupid bloody screamy teens didn't get that either. ;)

I have been Team Jacob since I have read New Moon (it's my favorite book)
I thought the movie was very true to the book and I also LOVED the score!! I thought it was so much better than Twilight.

I remember when I read when Edward leaves her and I literally grabbed my chest, its a great description in the book. I was actually a bit disappointed with that in the movie (just my own personal critique) I wanted to see a bit more but its only a 2 hour movie.

For those that didn't like it, that is fine more for us that do.

just went to it with my kids...lots of teens giggling lol I liked it but was bummed over the way it ended..just sort of stopped..

DD & I saw it this afternoon & I thought it was pretty good. It was much closer to the book than I expected. At least they didn't screw it up like HP & the HBP.

DD 12 is in love with Jacob. Somebody needs to feed Edward - much too skinny!

There was 15 of us moms who went to see the movie at 12:01am. I thought it was very good. We all did! Other than the screaming when Jacob took off his shirt, the theatre was very quiet.

All I have to say is Wow, sharkboy grew up! Team Jacob all the way.

i'm going to the 9:50 show tonight. i got to the theatre at one today and most of the morning shows had sold out, so we went for a later one.

I am Team Jacob all the way as well... I have been since I read the first book. Edward was just always too... whiny lol. Plus, I have never been a fan of Robert Pattinson, so that didn't help me enjoy the character any more. Though when they put Taylor Launter into the part of Jacob I wasn't too happy... mostly because it made me feel dirty since he was so young! LMAO

Then again, I have always thought that werewolves are sexier then vampires. Anita Blake... yea, I would pick any of the wolves or leopards over the vampires. Yummy yummy.

I actually just saw Sharkboy and Lavagirl the other day... it was SO strange seeing Tylor Lautner at that age and knowing what he would look like when he got older.

Saw it this morning with my 13yr old daughter. I was always a Jacob fan. "New Moon" was actually my favorite book of the series. I felt the last 2 were "borrowing" a bit from Anne Rice. Personally, I"m a Team Charlie!!!! I like a guy in flannel.

And if those so-called "critics" didn't get it from the first movie that this is a romance.......I say again.....geeeesh critics.
