We arrived at BWV around 2:30ish, no rooms were ready yet. I had a bw view one bedroom booked. At about 3:45 I called and found that our villa was ready!!! We had been given villa 3001....right next to The Attic. I've had the villa next to it and wasn't crazy about the area, but when I called to see if there was a chance of moving, I was told no. So...tried to make do. We had no view to the left due to being beside the Attic, which had meetings almost every day, which made it sort of uncomfortable to sit out on the 'two' balconies. I had hoped for one single balcony but got stuck with two small ones instead.
The thing that bothered me the most was the condition of the room and the housekeeping. The stovetop burners were all whacked out of shape, they didn't fit into the wells at all. There were areas of chipping paint. Housekeeping left the bare minimum of toiletries....and no soap in the bathroom with the shower. Good thing I had brought along some extras from my stay at POP the night before.
When housekeeping did TT on the fourth day, they left one bottle of shampoo, one soap and no clothes detergent. I have always had that left in the past.
Were these things a deal breaker? No. but I sure did want my dd's first trip to WDW to be as close to perfect as possible. BW was, as usual, wonderful. It wasn't fun to see Luna Park all boarded up, but repair has to be done. Boat transportation was slow as usual. Due to my dd's displeasure with all the walking she had to do, I found myself taking the boat a lot more than usual. But, having room 3001 did make getting off the boat at the S/D handy...just cross the bridge and walk up two flights of stairs right past Jellyrolls. That was nice.
I have to say that although my dd liked BW well enough, she seemed to prefer POP. Can you imagine??? Won't be using points for her any tim.e soon!!!
Just figured I would weigh in on our villa and how it was, in case anyone was interested.
