We just returned from a four day cruise and 3 nights at the Dolphin. This includes myself (41), DH (49) and DD (almost 9). I can't say enough about a wonderful trip, especially the cruise. I plan to write a trip report as soon as I catch up on my sleep. In the meantime, I would answer any questions you may have.

Hello :)

I would love to know how the weather was! How warm was it and how cold did it get after the sun went down?

Thanks!

Our cruise was 11/10 - 11/14. The weather was nearly perfect. During the day it was sunshine and mid eighties. In the evening, it was high 60's and low 70's, breezy but very comfortable. The last night a cold front came in and the water was officially "rough", meaning 6 - 13 ft. waves. We both wore the patch and felt fine. My daughter was a little sea sick the first night. I gave her some benydryl, and she was fine. You could feel some movement on the ship, but quite manageable.

Our final day was overcast and in the high 60's/low 70's. The pool water was about 80 degrees, and my daughter had no problem swimming. I was comfortable with capri pants and a light sweater. The sun came out in the late afternoon.

I want to thank everyone on these boards for their help. My husband called me "the best travel agent" he ever had.

Hey we were on the same cruise, 7 of us, we had great weather, a little too hot in the Bahamas, but very nice, since we are starting winter at home. The day at sea was different, even though we had a lot of time, i still missed alot of things. Boy did we eat, we had the late seating, for the first time, it was nice having the longer evenings before getting ready for dinner, and i was able to stay up longer, but the food stays with you. I dont think i ate much for the next three days.

Did you do any excursions? We are going on the 4 day, and wanted to do Blue Lagoon/Stingray City. Not sure to go ourselves, on a Disney Excursion, or others have rented a hotel room at the Comfort Suite to do Atlantis.

Any thoughts?

Sorry Newbee, we didn't do any excursions. We felt there was sooooo much to do on the ship, that we concentrated on those activities, and were really only able to do a portion of what was offered. Actually, we did not get off the ship at Nassau. Both my husband and I have been there before, and my daughter wanted to swim. We did spend the whole day at Castaway Cay. I recommend getting on shore early, and go to the far side of the family beach - less crowded. The Wonder sailed at 4:00, but we would have liked to stay much longer. I wrote on my comment card that Disney should make Castaway Cay last into evening, or maybe stay overnight. What a beautiful beach! We rented snorkeling geer and floats, but DD did not catch on to the snorkeling. DH enjoyed the snorkeling at the adult beach. We rented three floats, but really only needed two. Frankly, I enjoyed the beach chairs that you could take into the water.
